Christmas in July...

Morning folks...I hope the weather is good wherever you are...it's a bit rubbish up here!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is "Christmas in July".

I bought this stamp set last year but never got around to use it so making the effort to get my unused stuff used!

First I stenciled those little trees with various shades of green and blue...now this stencil was not part of the same set as the stamp but thought it matched perfectly.

I stamped up 3 different little trees, coloured them with copics and then die cut and layered them onto the card.  I stamped and white embossed the sentiment and layered that onto the card too.

I added some doodling around the edges too.

Happy Easter...

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

As Easter is just around the corner, then why not have an Easter theme!

I have had this stamp set for a while but only used it once, it's so cute...I do like when there's sentiments and images in the same set, makes it so much easier too.

So I inked up the bunnies using blue, green and yellow, then added the eyes...I fussy cut as I don't have the matching die (I don't think).  I then layered it onto the card.  I added a little die cut cloud and some sequins and dots.

Happy Birthday...

Morning sweet stampers and Happy New Year!

I have been choked with the cold and been left with an annoying cough but it's getting better thankfully.

It's time for the first challenge of 2024 over on the Sweet Stampin challenge blog.  The theme is "new"...interpret that in which ever way you like but remember to use stamping.

For my card I used a new background stamp, first I coloured up the background with watercolours and once dried I stamped the birthday wording. I added some splashes of white paint and some gems.  I also die cut a candle and the birthday and layered them on the card...you can kind of see from the image below.

Sending Hugs...

Howdy folks,

I treated myself to some Stampin Up stamp sets and this is one of the stamps from the set "Splendid Thoughts".

I love eucalyptus leaves or that style of leafy stamp.  I stamped with archival ink and then coloured with watercolours, I blended a few shades of blue and green to give the look of a real eucalyptus leaf.  I added some tiny splashes, sequins to finish.

Sending a smile...

Happy New Year to one and all and it's time for the first challenge of 2023 over on the Stamping Sensations blog.

The theme this month is "add some sparkle"...remember the main focus should be stamped.

We have the 2 prizes below this month, Highlight Crafts Crown and Glory stamp set and Lightly Fluttered die set.

I had treated myself to this stamp set a few weeks ago and was desperate to try it out. I white embossed the leaves and then stamped and embossed the sycamore seeds in silver sparkle embossing powder.  I then added some distress ink in blue and grey leaving some areas lighter.  I then added some splodges in silver and black (I like the black splodges).  I then added some sparkly sequins to finish.  I am pleased with how it turned out.

Wintertime...

Hi folks,

Not sure I'm entirely happy with this one.  I saw Sue had made a card similar to this and that's where I got my inspiration ....although mine is not as good, |I need to practice the blending as it's been a while.  I also used oxide inks to blend which I haven't used before so I need to practice.  The stamps are from Lavinia stamps.  I added glitter to the snow drifts and touched up the tree with a white pen to make it more snowy like.

Hope you like it.

A little sunshine coming your way...

Happy Friday blogging friends....well at least snow has gone but it has left us with the rain!! So I thought I would bring you all a little sunshine today...this was actually going to be for a project next week but I used the wrong image (oops) so it's on here today.
I have used papers from Lilybeedesigns - Buttercup, which I am loving at the minute, they are so fresh. The stamp is from Crafters Companion which I coloured with copics. In stitches....

Good morning Saturday campers and my scheduled post...yay!! Fabby weather we are having...not!! I can't believe how rubbish the weather has been this week in Scotland...I was truly and utterly drookit last weekend going to work and at this moment as it's Thursday I don't know if I will be drookit on Saturday yet!!

Well I hope today is a good day...I am on day 3 of my slimming world diet, so far so good but as I say it's only day 3 but I am determined to go down at least one size.

The challenge this week over at Sweet Stampin' is "in stitches". One of my favourites, I love stitching on cards, I think it really finishes them off.

For today's card I have used one of Krista's digis, she is called Frizzy Jynx and you can buy her here. I coloured the image with copics, thought I would use some bright, funky colours and I also tried to colour her boots like real UGG boots...they do look better IRL. The papers are from Fancy pants - Summers End collection...they are yummy!! I added a few buttons to the centres of the flowers, ribbon and a message.

A few challenges..

Morning Friday bloggers...well still not been on that much as my PC has to go back to Mr Fix It man on Monday so I am still using Michael's laptop when I can however it needs to go to Mr Fix It Man too as he has forgotten the password to get into the main account where all his stuff is and the account I use doesn't have administration rights...never rains but it pours and that's not just the weather!! So I am on a mission to get some cards made and posted today and my scheduled one for Sunday. For this I used Crate Papers and the stamp is from Mo Manning(which the lovely Linds sent me)and coloured the image with Promarkers....still don't have a big range of colours....yet, but I think I like them as they are easy to control and you can still do the same with them as you can with copics. The message was punched out using the Stampin Up word window punch and I also punched 2 strips of scalloped edging.I added 3 flowers made with the die-namics rolled flower die and glittered it up a bit. I have entered the challenges below.

I coloured the Anya's with copics and cut them out and layered them on to the card to give a 3d effect, I also cut the butterflies from the same paper and layered them aswell and finished it off with buttons and best mates message.....I should have used a plain piece for the scallop as you can't really see it in the photo but it does look ok in real life!

Birthday

My order from Funky Kits came today...woo hoo. I have been busy but I needed to use at least one of my new stamps and this is what I made. I needed to make a card for Carly...my friend's daughter as her birhday is on Monday. The stamp is one of the new ones at Funky Kits and coloured with copics an then I added some glitter, the backing papers are from Bo Bunny...to finish off I added a couple of little flowers which I am liking at the moment...the new sizzix die from Tim Holtz....I have entered this in the challenges below but before you see which challenges I thought I would have a bit fun this weekend....Debs did his a couple of weeks ago and she sent me a beautiful LOTV stamp which I haven't use yet but I will be soon cos I have plans for it...so as I am working this weekend I needed some fun...and if I get the linky thing to work but if it doesn't work just leave a comment on this post and on Sunday night when I come home from work I will pick somebody at random who can choose one stamp from the Funky Kits website as I will be placing another order on Tuesday...so the lucky winner can let me know which stamp they would like and I will order it along with mine and then post it to them...how does that sound??
