It's a Sundae bar....
Good afternoon Sundae bloggers on the Easter Sunday...now I hope you haven't been tempted to eat the kiddos chocolate eggs!! I bet somebody has?? This week over at Paper Sundaes the challenge is "The Sundae Bar" that means make a card using at least 2 of the following 4 toppings...die cuts, yellow, pearls and glitter...as you can see I am greedy and went for all 4 toppings!!
This week we are sponsored by Stamp & Create who are offering one lucky winner... $25 gift certificate.
For my card I have used Cosmo Cricket - Garden Variety papers...I forgot I had them and there's the yellow. The image is Leisel from CC Designs..which I coloured with copics and then added glitter. I layered it all up and then added a ribbon...which was white to start with so I coloured that with a red copic and added message which has been layed onto a die cut oval and oh yes some little pearls too. I actually made a bit of a muck up of the first image, so I coloured up a second image, cut it out and layered it top of the one that I had made a muck of as I preferred that colour of card and I did some shading on the bottom layer too to give her a little shadow around her but i could have done that a bit darker as you can't really see that very well. I have entered the challenges below.

It's almost Easter...
Morning Sweet Stampers and my scheduled post. Well I don't normally make Easter cards so these have not come easy to me so why on earth did I pick Easter as the them this week at Sweet Stampin...obviously it seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm not sure if I like this or not...not my usual I'm afraid!! Pop over and see what the other sweeties have made to inspire you with Easter scrumminess!!
This week we are sponsored by Di's digi Downloads who are giving one lucky winner 5 digis.
We also have our monthly sponsor Bugaboo who are giving one lucky winner 7 digis.
For my card I have used Nitwits papers and the image is from Di's Digi Download. I coloured the image with promarkers and then cut it out, I then used an embossing tool on the back of the agg to mould it into a dome and layered it onto the card...it reall pops out as is much better IRL. I made the sun by cutting out a sizzix flower, cutting the ends of the petals.

Bella birthday...
Howdy folks....it has been another lovely day today although it was a bit foggy til lunchtime here but still managed to get the washing dried. I have been colouring this little lady back and forth all day today as I needed to get some other stuff done today too...back at work tomorrow. I just love Bella Bunting, she is a great image to practice your colouring. I have been practicing colouring with distress inks with her using some different card that the lovely Elaine sent me...check out her blog here, as she is ace at colouring!! I have coloured this Bella Bunting with copics...wasn't sure which to use as these papers have lots of different colours to tone in but I think I am happy with the pink. The papers are from MME - fine and Dandy collection. I cut out some bunting from the papers to attach to this card too...thought it fitted in quite well and I was having withdrawal symptoms as I have not added one of my flowers for ages...Lisa I hope you have your new die now!!

My favourite sweet pea..
What another beautiful day and I only have one more day before I go back to work...boo hoo!! I am posting this card so that my friend can see it as I won't see her until the weekend....she asked mt to her a card for her daughter. I hope she likes it...I used this Sweet Pea stamp which is my favourite one and she is called "Come Softly" and I coloured her with copics. The papers are from MME - So Sophie. I stitched the layers of card together, gave the butterfly a 3d look and added some glitter which you can't really see unless you zoom. Look it's my favourite colour combo too!!

Holly's card..
Well they you should never work with children or animals....my patience has been tested today!! As it's the school holidays and Holly is at a loose end today, although she has her plans for the rest of the week, she thought she would make a card. It's one of her friend's birthdays soon so she made this card....now Holly can be a bit heavy handed especially when it comes to glitter and glue....not a good combination for her however no glitter required for this one but I thought she would manage sticking this down with glue rather than tape...a bit more give with the glue. Shall we say the card is still abit heavy and damp with glue!! The papers are from Bo Bunny - sun Kissed which I think match well with the Anya she has used which she coloured with promarkers. Holly has entered this in the challenges below.

Fashion statement!!
Well another lovely sunny day and...not my usual and I can tell you ...never again!! I wanted to try the Less is More challenge and this week it's acetate...piece of cake I thought!! That stuff just has a mind of its own...aaarrgggg!! It won't cut and everything sticks to it including the rubber stamps I used on this one...I had to peel the stamps from the acetate...I thought what's going on here...I thought it was ink I used not glue!! I was not going to let this one beat me so 6 sheets of acetate later...here we are. I embossed a white panel and layered it onto the black and added pink seam binding and a little message. I layered the acetate on to sticky fixers so that it gives a 3d effect and actually IRL this does look quite good as you can see the shadows behind the figures...not sure if you can see it in the photo. The stamps I just love...these were a win I got in the early days, they are called My Acrylix - Every Day Life...great for quick cards although this one wasn't quick hence the reason I have not said a wee quickie before lunch!!

Hippie chickie...
Well...what a lovely day it has been...all my washing dried, just need to iron it....gggrrr!! I started colouring this image last night and finished it earlier today but what a nightmare photographing it...becuase it is dark, the photo colour wasn't right!! The papers are from MME - So Sophie collection, you can just about see the brown one does have spots, the image is Hippie chick from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics, I added some stitching, gems and of course some flowers...I think flowers are perfect as they match the flowers in her hair....oh is anybody singing that song now??

Paper Sundaes DT card
Hi all my Sundae bloggers and my scheduled post but I'm not working but thought I would just schedule incase I got caught up in other stuff!! Today's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is "texture".
Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who is offering one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate to spend in their store.
I have used papers from MME - Stella Rose collection which I have layered and stitched. I added a scalloped edge with my giant sizzlits die. I made the flower by punching 4 circles of bazill cardstock and then I separated the layers to give me 8 cicles, I spritzed them with water and then scrunched them into little balls. Once dry I opened up the circles and attached them all together with a brad in the centre and then I teased the layers back into the scrunchy shape...first attempt at that. I also added some button twine, ribbon and some gems. I embossed the scalloped edge aswell to give more texture. I coloured Lady Tilda( which you can buy here at Simon's store) with copics and layered her onto the card.
Crafts & Me - ribbon
Papertake Weekly - truly dimensional
Just Magnolia - happy birthday
Your Next Stamp - texture
The Crafty Purple Frog - touchy feely
Catch the Bug - 4 or more layers
The Stamp Man - embossing
My Partner in Crafting Crime - layer it up

Little light...
Good morning my fellow bloggers on this lovely Sunny day...and did I tell you I am on holiday this week...woo hoo!! I will be making something to post every day this week..I have decided. As you know I love these Sassy stamps and I have been in two minds whether to apply for the Guest Design Call that they are having over at the Simply Sassy blog. I did apply way back at the beginning to be on the team and made the final 12 but was pipped at the post. They have had a couple of GDT calls but I didn't apply as I knew I didn't have the time then however this one is for 8 weeks and will starting in a couple of weeks time so I thought I would give it a go....I have lots of holidays from work in May and June and I will be making cards anyway so her goes...
I have used Simply Sassy - Little Light of Mine which has been coloured with copics and took me nearly 2 hours!! I added a touch of glitter to the candle and the little bunny. The papers are from MME - So Sophie collection. I stitched all the layers to give more texture and.... finally I can't have a card these days without one of those fab MFT die-namics flowers!! Hope you like it.

Birthday...
Hi all...this is the first post of perhaps a few today..taking advantage since I am on holiday from work. Will need to do other things too including get dressed as i still have my jammies on!! I had inked this image up and coloured it a couple of weeks ago but just hadn't got round to sticking it on a card so here it is. The image is of course Times to Treasure from LOTV which I coloured with promarkers...still don't have a huge selection of colours hence the reason I was kind of stuck with what papers to use. The papers are from MME - Stella rose which I am loving just now. I added a message and some Wild Orchid flowers...no die-namics flowers on this but watch out for the next post as I have totally made up for it on that one!!

Paper Sundaes DT card
Hello my fellow Sundae bloggers....I hope it's lovely and sunny wherever you are!!
Today's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is "childhood memories"...now I don't have many childhood memories of my own as I am too old and my brain can't think that hard so this is more of a childhood memory of Holly when she started school. She would go away in the morning all neat and tidy and then at home time she looked like she had been dragged through a hedge backwards!!
Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Mo's Digital Pencil who have the most amazing digis in their store and one lucky winner will win a $20 gift certificate....woo hoo!
I have used Trinity from Mo's and coloured her with copics. The papers are from Scenic Route (I think) but I can't remember which collection. I'm sorry Lisa but I have to tempt you yet again with my fabby flowers which I cut using MFT flower die-namic die. I added some pearls and stamped that little message..not quite the message I wanted but as it's Holly, she is one of a kind but I love her!!

Sweet Stampin DT card
Good morning Sweet Stampers and my hopefully scheduled post....having a bit of a problem with some browsing!!
You may have already heard the news that I have taken over running the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog with Abi....I am so excited!!
Now I would say I am quite good with computers and I know what I'm doing and I don't let anything beat me....I keep at it til it's fixed....well on the first day of my new role, actually not even the first day, I think it was probably withing a few hours of accepting my new role....I deleted lots of stuff that we needed. I thought I was doing a good turn and was tidying up the blog just a tad and hey ho...I made a boob...a big boob!! Abi to the rescue...as my pc was still away getting fixed, Michael let me borrow his laptop but only for about an hour at a time and he forbid me to download anything to do with glitter, pink, fluffy or cards on it....anyway between the 2 of us and recalling Fluff for a favour too, it's all as good as new!!
Anyway this week's challenge over at Sweet Stampin is this fab sketch by Jo....
I absolutely loved working with this sketch, I don't normally do ovals as I don't have an oval die so I have to cut the oval by hand...it's a hit or a miss and sometimes I distress the edges, that also helps to disguise the hand cutting but I thought this one wasn't too bad so I left it as is and it just seemed to work for me and here is the end result....

Spring is in the air....
Good afternoon my fellow bloggers and my scheduled post. I'm afraid due to my pc still not working and having to use Michael's laptop for limited usage...I have posted the above card for both of my DT's today....didn't realise I had done that until both challenges were almost live and now I am at work so I have edited this post. This weeks challenge over at Paper Sundaes is "spring blossoms"...you can make anything you like as long as there's a spring blossom look to it. Our sponsor this week is the one and only Lili of the Valley....woo hoo! One lucky winner will receive a £10 gift voucher to spend in their online store!! The challenge over at Dream Valley this week is "things with wings"...easy peasy as long as your project has something with wings on it then fine!! Our sponsor this week is One Stop Crafts who have a wonderful selection of online products and one lucky winner will receive a £10 voucher. Happy Mother's Day
Good morning folks....this is early I know but I have lots to do today so a couple of posts first. I sat up til stupid o'clock last night(as Faye would say) finishing this card....I hope my mum will like it...she doesn't do character ones. This is my first card using my new sewing machine...it might me a bit to get used to it as some of the knobs and levers are not in the same place as my old one and it seems to not go right into the corners...so if anybody can give me any tips on how to make it stitch right into the corner rather than it pulling round the corner that would be great. I think I will have a bash at zig zag next....oh I am easy pleased!!
The papers are from MME - So Sophie Charming collection which really are beautiful...may use them a lot over the next couple of week as they are my favourite colours too...brown, green and blue...I just love that colour combo!!
The image is a digi but to be honest I cannot remember where I got it..coloured it with copics and added some glitter. The message is from Hero Arts. I have entered the following challenges.
