Happy birthday to you...

 Hi folks,

Well it's the boss's birthday coming up and this is what I have made her, I hope she likes it.

I just love this flower stamp from Gina K...so I decided to use it and stamped and white embossed it onto watercolour card, then I masked it off and stamped and white embossed the birthday text.  I then randomly added some watercolours, I wanted some subtle colouring but some areas I wanted it to be more vibrant.  I added some spalshes of colour too, not that you can see those splashes unless you zoom in. I samped the sentiment, die cut the numbers and the word "you" in rose gold foil card and layered those onto the card.  I added some dots, gems and sequins to finish.

Happy birthday...

Morning folks,

Well I've had a busy few weeks with work and trying to sort my dads house but getting there, hopefully everything will be all done in a few weeks. I have also been clearing out Holly's bedroom...she found her own place so I am having a bigger craft room...hope to have that all finished before the winter...might even treat myself to some new crafty things....yay!

It's time for another challenge over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge Blog.

The theme this month is "anything goes" with the option of "summer flowers".

We have two prizes this month, the first is a £25 store voucher from Crafty Individuals and the second is two dies from Highlight Crafts

For my card I stamped and embossed this little flower stamp and then added some watercolours, I built up several layers to make it quite vibrant, I then added the background of some blue tones for the sky and green for the grass, I dabbled some pink  highlights to give the effect of flowers in the background. I die cut the sentiment and added some sequins to finish.

Thanks...

Good morning folks!

It's time for the next challenge over on the Sweet Stampin challenge blog, the challenge this fortnight is "thanks".

You can make anything you like as long as there is stamping on the card then that's fine.

I was having a rummage through my stamps trying to decide what to use and I found this Winnie & Walter leaf stamp set....it's a fab little set.

I stamped the stamps, masking some of them to layer them a bit, I coloured them with my zig clean color brush pens (love them), I added some splashes all over.  I die cut the thanks and layered onto the card, finished with some dots and sequins.

Pop over and check out what my teamies have made!

Thanks...

Morning folks,

I thought I would share this little card I made last night.  I was having a look through my old stash and came across this stamp from Stampin Up, which I really like, it's so easy to colour.  I stamped the image onto watercolour card and coloured with my zig pens, and I only needed to use 2 colours, green and yellow and blended them together.  I added a few tiny splashes and some gold paint to finish.

The DT Call is still ongoing over on the Less is More blog, so I have added my second entry for the DT Call.

Be Kind...

Hi folks,

Well here I have made a couple of cards with some new products i ordered from Simon Says Stamp.  I inked up the image with fadeout ink (love it) and then used my zig clean color brush pens to watercolour the leaves.  Not sure if you can see but the stamped image changes to the colour that it has been coloured...I am so impressed.  I added some splashes of colour and some black splodges...haven't done that for a while and was missing that look.  I then added the sentiment and finished with gems, pearls and sequins.

Thought I would post an image of each of the cards on their own too.

Happy Birthday...

Hi everybody!

Thought I would share the card I have made today. I treated myself to some goodies from Simon Says Stamp, including this make up stamp set....there's sooooo many stamps in the set, it's just fab.  I stamped some make up images and embossed with rose gold embossing powder, I then masked them and stamped over the happy birthday background stamp and also embossed with rose gold embossing powder.  I then did some watercolouring with my zip pens, I just randomly dabbled some colour all over.  I white embossed the sentiment but die cut the "you".  I also added a little gold leaf to add a bit of sparkle and to finish I added some pearls, dots and sequins and then finished with some doodling.

Hope you like.

Hello friend

Hi everybody....it's been a while!

I really haven't had much time in the last year as most of my spare time is spent looking after my dad however he has a care package in place now and getting on well so I feel I have some time back. I've also had tennis elbow for a few months which has spread to my wrist so holding a pen or pencil and typing can be painful....but now that we are in lockdown I have been able to rest it a bit so thought this would be the perfect time to get back into it so thought I would start by making something that is familiar to me....and fairly easy.

I bought this stamp a few weeks ago although I didn't realise it was so big, but I think it looks quite funky hanging a bit off the card.  I stamped and white embossed (my favourite technique) and then coloured with water colours.  Once the colour was dry I added some little squiggles of gold leaf, some splodges of colour and some sequins.

Hope you like.

Some sweet succulents...

Howdy folks!

I am still trying to get my mojo back and when I saw there was a wee competition on the My Favourite Things Card Blog, I thought it would give me something to get stuck into...

The first card is for the Clean & Simple Genius category...

First I inked up a couple of the stamps using black memento ink, onto the panel and then added some splodges too.  I stamped one of the stamps and pots onto a scrap piece of white card and coloured using copics.  I then fussy cut and layered them together and layered onto the panel using sticky fixers.  I stamped one of the sentiments and white embossed then die cut using the pennant die.  I then fixed to the panel.  I layered onto black card and then onto the blank card.  I finished with some sequins.

Products used: MFT Sweet Succulents, MFT Distressed Patterns and MFT Stitched Pennants

The second card is for the Colouring Virtuoso category...

I had to make this card using my favourite technique...white embossing and watercolouring!
First I white embossed several of the images, but I did mask each of them so I could overlay them.  I then added colour using my zig clean color brush pens (which I love), I added some shading around the images.  I then added some splodges and sequins.  I also doodled around the edges and added the stamped sentiment.

Hope you like my entries!

So it's a beautiful day...

Hi folks...as you know I have been out of action for some time but just getting back into the swing of things and what better than with one of my favouritest stamp sets...Beautiful Day from Altenew.

I stamped the flowers and white embossed them....I also white embossed the leaves too. I then masked the flowers and stamped and white embossed the happy birthday text background.

Using my zig clean colour brush pens I added lots of colour to the flowers and leaves, I then loaded a brush with lots of water a d brushed over the coloured flowers....this gave a softer look and also gave some colour to the text.

Once dry I added some coloured splits, I then left it to dry before I added the black ink splodges.

I then stamped the sentiment and white embossed and I did cut the "you" 3 times and glued them together.

I added these to the card and also added some sequin, pearls and gems to finish...hope you likey!

Thank You so much...

Another post from me tonight...this has been made using another new stamp set, this one is from Concord & 9th...I was a bit stumped at first but then I decided to use my zig clean color pens to colour this one.

First I cut the card to size and spritz it with water.  I then added the colour to the stamp and stamped onto the damp card, this made the colour easy to move around and add in some extra colour too. Once the stamping was finished I added some little splodges, stamped the sentiment and finished with sequins and doodled edges.

Happy Birthday...

Hi everybody....well my few days off haven't gone quite according to plan...I did intend to be crafting for at least one full day that I have been off...never mind!

Somy friend asked me (well in advance this time) if I could make her a card for another friend of hers daughter...and here it is!

I thought I would try something a bit different for a wee change...so I randomly inked up the watercoloured card with a few shades using my zig pens,I left it to dry and then added the sparkly numbers.  I pierced a couple of holes at either side in order to thread the ribbon and fix it to the card.  I layered the panel onto pin cardstock and distressed the edges.  I added a sentiment from Altenew Label Love. I finished with doodled edges, sequins and splodges.

Hope you like!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT Card

Good morning everybody, today I'm sharing my DT card for My Mum's Craft Shop.

For today's card I have used MFT - Wavy Colouring book Background stamp, I bought this before Christmas but didn't get round to using it until now....I think it's quite trendy.

I stamped and white embossed the stamp and the randomly coloured using my zig clean color brush pens.  I then added a wash of water over the full image which blended out the colour making it quite soft and subtle.

I then die cut the sentiment which is also from My Favourite Things called Hello Beautiful.  I added a few sequins to finish.
