The Sugar Bowl challenge 101....

Good morning sugar fans....so as you are reading this I am en route to the Craft show at the SECC with my friend Karen and we are hoping to meet up with some fellow crafters along the way.  Oh i get all excited when there's a craft show...can't wait to see what goodies there is to buy!!

The challenge over at The Sugar Bowl is "anything goes"...how easy can it be?

Please remember to use a Sugar Nellie stamp...rubber or digi to be eligible!!

As always the prize for one lucky winner picked at random is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps from FunkyKits...

...over 100 entries then that prize increases to 6 Sugar Nellie stamps...

In addition, Gayle and Elaine will also be awarding Eye Candy to some lucky entrants so pop back to the Sugar Nellie blog next Thursday to see if you have been spotted!!

For my card I have used papers from Echo Park - Country Drive, I layered each of them onto white bazzill card, stitched around the edges and then added a touch of DI to the edges.  I then distressed the edges.  The stamp is of course Bumble Bee from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with promarkers this time....and I thought  would kind of colour her to match her name....and the paper!!

Sweet Stampin' DT card...

Good morning Saturday bloggers...well 2 sleeps to go and back to work. Before that though we have another challenge over at Sweet Stampin'...use the colours of your Nations flag.

This week we are sponsored by Letraset...and our monthly sponsor is Joanna Sheen..

Now I swithered about going with just the blue and white as in the colours of the Saltire but thought I was a bit limited so I have gone for the colours of the Union jack...red, white and blue.

The papers have been in my stash forever and are from Making Memories. I layered each of the layers onto red cardstock and added some stitching. All the die cuts are from various MFT die-namics dies...which I love!! The stamp is No. 1 Fan from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with promarkers....hope you likey!!

Merry Christmas....

Good morning windswept bloggers!! Well...what a day and night yesterday for us Scots...we had winds up to 160mph at parts of the day. The extreme weather caused havoc all over and I am so glad I didn't need to venture out!! It was a tad scary I have to say and I hope everyone was safe.

So I doodled away last night colouring in this stamp which is Festive Friends from Sugar Nellie and this time I coloured with copics and then glittered it up. I bought a few new colours so thought I would put them to the test although I haven't managed to get the right shade of green, so if anybody knows of a kind of lightish promarker green, let me know. Now when I saw the sketch over at Christmas Challenges, I had to try it...I do prefer lots of layers as I am kind of rubbish at the embellishments so With lots of layers I don't need to add too many other bits and bobs.
The papers are from Fancy Pants - Hot Chocolate collection, and they are yummy!! I have entered the challenges below. I layered the papers onto kraft card and edged them with a fine pen to give them a stitched look. I punched out the snowflake and glittered it up and then added a button and twine. I also added some twine around one of the layers and attached a snowflake charm.

Birthday girl.....

Hello all the weekend bloggers and a wee scheduled post from me cos I am at work...yay!! I am hoping that it won't be freezing this weekend as last weekend was baltic and I had to sit with my jacket on!!

Now I know your thinking...a blue flower but I wanted something a bit different and it's amazing how this litle stamp can look so different depending on how you colour it!! So for my card I have used papers from MME...can't remember which as they are odds that i had left. The stamp is from Lili of the Valley which I coloured with promarkers...I actually coloured the image at the card class the other night but only got round to actually making it into a card yesterday.

Have you seen...there's a DT Call over at Sweet Stampin'...check it out here!!

Howdy...

Howdy folks...sorry if I haven't left any comments in the past 24 hours or so...my charming daughter threw a cup of coffe all over the keyboard...by accident of course, just back from the shops and we are cooking with gas!! Another thing...it's been snowing here today...again but hopefully it won't come to much. I rattled up this little quickie card last night. The stamp is from Image Tree - Barnyard buddies which I coloured with promarkers. I also chalked the background to make it look like clouds but I don't think I done it heavy enough as you can bearly see them, I also added a fewe birds. The papers are from Making Memories which I have had in my stash for ages..I think they are from the kids collection - Kate. I have entered the following challenges.

Best Mates..

Well folks...would you believe we have had sleet here today!! What a shock to the system that was I tell you....anyway I was having withdrawal symptons as I never made a card yesterday as I was busy getting stuck into the housework...I did that much my back was in agony...it felt better after a glass of wine..or two! I made this card earlier and just added the finishing touches and I am off to make the tea...since I am off I thought I would make sicilian pasta...jazzed up version of pasta bolognese...so yummy and haven't made it for a while and hubby will think he is in the wrong house when he comes home from work as I normally buy stuff already made and I just need to fire in the oven..I don't do home cooking very often only because I work and I don't want to stand all day in the kitchen...not my idea of fun...would rather have fun making cards but anyway I am cooking shortly!! For my card today I have used a random sheet of paper that was in my stash from Belle boulevard and the stamp is from Mo Manning and I think it's called Psss - the lovely Linds sent me that a couple of months back..isn't she a sweetie and I love it!! I coloured the image with promarkers and then did some additional shading with waterpencils and added glitter...will be buying more promarkers at the Hobbycrafts show...2 sleeps to go...woo hoo!! I have entered the following challenges.

A few challenges..

Morning Friday bloggers...well still not been on that much as my PC has to go back to Mr Fix It man on Monday so I am still using Michael's laptop when I can however it needs to go to Mr Fix It Man too as he has forgotten the password to get into the main account where all his stuff is and the account I use doesn't have administration rights...never rains but it pours and that's not just the weather!! So I am on a mission to get some cards made and posted today and my scheduled one for Sunday. For this I used Crate Papers and the stamp is from Mo Manning(which the lovely Linds sent me)and coloured the image with Promarkers....still don't have a big range of colours....yet, but I think I like them as they are easy to control and you can still do the same with them as you can with copics. The message was punched out using the Stampin Up word window punch and I also punched 2 strips of scalloped edging.I added 3 flowers made with the die-namics rolled flower die and glittered it up a bit. I have entered the challenges below.

Paper Sundaes DT card

Welcome to another Sunday and the challenge over at Paper Sundaes this week is metal...you can create anything you like as long as it has something metal on it. Our sponsor this week is Stamp and Create who have some fabulous products in their store. For my card I have used MME papers and a Wags 'n' Whiskers image. I have coloured this image with promarkers but I am limited for colours for now as they belong to Holly and she only has a small amount...but I think it matches the papers. I have added some chunky white glitter to the hats to give them a bit of a fluffy look...for the metal I have added 3 snowflake brads, a ribbon charm and message all from Making Memories....I then added some star buttons to finish off. Anyway in the long run I decided to make this card while I'm waiting on my new stamps to come..and my Stampin Up stuff..woo hoo. The backing papers are Crate Papers which I am loving at the minute..need to buy more...the stamp is from PSX which was one of the very first stamps I bought to make my dad a card with cos he likes gardening...and it's a lovely image to colour and I coloured this one with Holly's Promarkers...she's at school so she won't know (hee hee), I added a Prima flower and a little message to finish off....believe it or not there is no glitter on this card!!. I have entered in the following challenges:
