Poinsettia Girl

Good morning, and my scheduled Wednesday post over on the Sugar Nellie blog.

For today's card I have used this fabby image called "Poinsettia Girl" from Leanne Ellis at Sugar Nellie.

I coloured this little cutie with spectrum noirs, the dies are brand spanking new which I bought at the SECC at the weekend.  They are 2 separate dies...a Memory Box corner poinsettia and the other is from Poppy Dies....it actually took me a bit of time to build the flowers up.  I used both red and black card to cut out...I layered them up and then started chopping away the tiny red flowers to stick on the black...phew!!  I also added teeny weeny pearls the centres of the flowers. The backing paper is from Echo Park - Bundled Up which I layered onto black cardstock and then I distressed the edges.

Spectrums used:
FS2, FS3, FS6
DR1, DR3, DR5, DR7
BT1, BT5
EB1, EB2
GB8, GB10

Digiqueens DT card

Good morning folks, it's Tuesday so that means some more  inspiration over on the Polka Doodles blog...so here's my Digi Queens card.

I have used Luna and coloured her with spectrum noirs.  You can buy Luna from the Polka Doodles store. I made the backing with my die-namics floral fusion die.  I coloured the underneath with distress inks and then layered the flower die cut on top....I am quite happy with the effect, looks good.  I also used the same die to make an embossed panel for the bottom of the card.  I then layered the whole piece onto bazzill card and distressed all around the edges. I then added a piece of ribbon to hide the join and then added a bow and fastened a rolled flower to it.  I finished with some tiny pearls.

Here's a close up of Luna.

Little Angel...

Good morning sugar fans, here I am with your Wednesday posting!

Hope you are well!

Now I am sharing this card with you, my lovely friend asked me to make a Thinking of You card for one of her friends whos daughter sadly passed away. I thought I would use this lovely Diane Duda stamp which I think is just so perfect, sadly it's not available but I needed to share it but there are still lots of other Diane Duda stamps available from Funky Kits.

I coloured the image with inktense pencils....I am so loving these however they do take time. I have used digi papers from The Sweet Shoppe and layered them onto bazzill card.....I added some stitching to each of the layers....yes no doodles!!  The cloud and love heart also came with the digi pack...aren't they perfect?

The flowers are a mix of rolled flowers from die-namics and a couple of flowers which I had bought and I added a couple of teeny weeny butterflies too.

A wee snowman...

Hey folks, I have been practising with my new inktense pencils that I thought I would make this one into a card....this is my third attempt but my 4th one is coloured and I do love it....will share that one on Wednesday.

So for this card I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday. The papers I have used are from Echo Park - Bundled Up and layered them onto bazzill card.  I cut one of the edges a bit squint so duffed them up a bit with my distressing tool. I cut a little pennant and added a wee snowflake to it.  I added a little berry to the centre just for something a bit different.  The message was in my stash...but works well with a snowman and finally the stamp is from LOTV called Hats Off which I coloured with inktense pencils.

Blossom

Good morning, and my scheduled Wednesday post over on the Sugar Nellie blog.

So for today's card I'm afraid it is very plain and simple as the colouring has taken almost since my last posting...very time consuming but I find it very therapeutic....still need practice though!!

This stamp is called "Fleur" and is from the Leanne Ellis range at Sugar Nellie!

I coloured Fleur with Derwent Inktense pencils....I am loving them!  The paper is from the Evergreen collection from Basic Grey which I layered onto kraft card. Did my usual doodling... The message has been in my stash forever but is from Stampin Up.

So does anybody have any tips for the inktense pencils??

Now sure how you can use them with digis but they are perfect with the rubber at Sugar Nellie...oh and I did hear there was rubber burning in the house of Sugar on Monday.....but the lovely Kate informed us it was a new delivery of rubber stamps....watch this space!!

Pop back for more sugar inspiration tomorrow.

Buttons for Brains DT card

Hey folks...here's my Buttons for Brains DT card...I just love the little owl...isn't it cute??  So it came just as a plain wooden piece and I coloured it up with spectrums.  The papers are Winter Wonderland which I layered onto bazzill card.  I added the big ribbon and bow as I thought it went well with the owl...The message is also from the matching set of Krafty Christmas stamps and the snowflake was cut from my die-namics let it snowflake die.

Digiqueens DT card

Good morning folks....and here's my scheduled post for the fabby Polka Doodles Digi Queens.

The theme this week is Halloween and for my card I decided to go with this little digi called "Mummy"...funnily enough!!  I made the background using some of the images in the Witchie Witchie bundle.  The sentiment is also from the same bundle along with other fabby elements.  I used spectrum noirs to colour my image and glitter parts of the spooky tree...just for that extra moonlihgt spookyness!  I coloured the image with spectrum noirs....

Pop over to the Polka Doodles blog to check out the rest of the inspiration!!

My new inktense results...

Hey Saturday campers....I was going to save this for my next SN DT card however I had it made and I am quite chuffed with it so decided to share it just now.....need to make another DT card now...oops!

So this is my first attempt at colouring with Derwent Inktense pencils and although it did take me ages to colour, it very therapeutic!  I have been admiring the fabby colouring that the lovely Keeley does with her inktense pencils and she totally inspired me....you should check out her blog!!

The stamp is called Raven from Sugar Nellie ( sadly no longer available) which I watercoloured with the inktense pencils....I started off with a small amount of colour and just up the layers....The papers are from The Sweet Shoppe called Pumpkin Spice....they are so pretty and perfect for Autumn, and I layered them onto kraft card and did my usual doodling around the edges.  I added a piece of pale blue lace underneath. The flower is my beautiful die-namics gerbera which I cut out in white and then coloured to match the papers. I made the bow and button match the flower and added 2 silver leaf charms to that....hope you likey!
