Sweet Stampin Challenge DT card

Well howdy folks!

It has been a while since I have made a card a posted on my blog which I was missing big time, I have joined in with a couple of card swaps on Facebook but what better a way to get back into it so I am back where it all started all those years ago...I am back on the Sweet Stampin design team.

What a pure chance conversation that was...and I am so pleased to be back.

So after buying loads of new stamps I now have a reason to use them again.  This was just a quick card using a large stamp from Colorado Craft Company which I inked up and embossed with starry night sparkle embossing powder.

I die cut the square (one of my new dies) and layered it onto back card...think that makes it stand out.

I rubbed some distress ink over some of the image, stamped the sentiment and added some gems and pearls to finish.

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog for this weeks challenge which is "last minute Christmas", the challenge will run for 2 weeks, so get those last minute cards posted.

Have a Merry Little Christmas...

Hi everybody, I hope you are all well.

I made this card for the card swap over on the Dies to Die For Facebook group.

Although it looks quite plain and simple, it actually took me a bit longer than I planned as I had to line up the words and tape them in place.

I die cut the words and stuck different coloured card on the back, I stamped one of the sentiments and die cut the little poinsettia which is also part of the die set.

Birthday balloons...

Hi everybody....hope you are all surviving!

Once again I seem to have other things to be doing than cardmaking however I am on holiday from work for the next 3 weeks so I will defo be making time for myself and some cardmaking although having said that we pick our new puppy in a few days so she will also be keeping me busy but she's a baby and will sleep a lot (ha ha).

For my card today I have used this fabby little stamp set from The Ton.  I white embossed the balloons and coloured them with my zig pens, I added some splashes and sequins to finish.

Coffee with friends...

Hi all, i bought this stamp set as I thought it would be a great stamp to use on general cards however I kind of lost my way a bit and wasn't sure what to make however I found some inspiration on Pinterest and made this.
The stamp set is from Concord & 9th, which I inked up and then die cut using the matching dies, layered them onto the card and doodled the edges.

My best selfie...

Hi everyone....so I just love this stamp set, it's sooooo cute and the sentiments are perfect.  When I am on a night out with my friend she has to always make sure we have lots of funny selfies and this image and sentiment reminded me of her so I made this card for her....just for being her lol!

I stamped the image using archival ink and then coloured with copics. I die cut the little frame and stamped the sentiment on the bottom and then layered it onto the card.  I doodled around the edges to finish.

Smile...

Morning everybody, it's a lovely sunny day so I thought I would share this card I made...think it's a bit summery...what do you think?

For this card I  used Summer Citrus from WPlus9 and coloured with my copics.  I cut the images out (don't have the dies) and layered them onto the card using sticky fixers.  I added some gold leaf to the splodges...not sure you can see them as that didn't work out, wasn't quite what I had in mind! I then added some sequins, pearls and gems and doodles to finish...oh the sentiment is from a Concord & 9th set.

Hello friend

Hi everybody....it's been a while!

I really haven't had much time in the last year as most of my spare time is spent looking after my dad however he has a care package in place now and getting on well so I feel I have some time back. I've also had tennis elbow for a few months which has spread to my wrist so holding a pen or pencil and typing can be painful....but now that we are in lockdown I have been able to rest it a bit so thought this would be the perfect time to get back into it so thought I would start by making something that is familiar to me....and fairly easy.

I bought this stamp a few weeks ago although I didn't realise it was so big, but I think it looks quite funky hanging a bit off the card.  I stamped and white embossed (my favourite technique) and then coloured with water colours.  Once the colour was dry I added some little squiggles of gold leaf, some splodges of colour and some sequins.

Hope you like.
