Summertime...

Morning folks,

I finally got the chance to use this fabby stencil set with these lolly dies.

The lovely Brenda asked me if I would like to be the guest designer over on the Allsorts Challenge Blog....again, so of course!

The theme is summertime...although I think we have had our summer, it feels like its back to winter!

For my card I used a stencil set and co-ordinating dies from concord & 9th, inked them up with ink from Concord & 9th too.  I added some splashed and enamel dots to finish.

Happy Birthday...

Morning folks,

I finally got the chance to use this fabby stencil, I love giraffes.

The lovely Brenda asked me if I would like to be the guest designer over on the Allsorts Challenge Blog, which of course is no trouble!

For my card I use a couple of different colours of distress ink and blended them together.  I added my usual wee splodges as the card looked a bit bare without them ha ha! I managed not to add any sequins on this one too. Added the sentiment to finish.

Another thistle...

 Hi folks,

Just back from a wee holiday up north, we had a fab relaxed time and actually managed to see dolphins in the Moray Firth.  Been catching up with the housework but needed to get a card made too.

As you know I love this stamp set from Stampin Up, and I was on a roll after my last make ( I had a wee production line going).  This time I stamped the image twice in black archival ink and then added some soft watercolouring to the images an around.  I added a wee bit extra detail to the thistles.  I added some splashes and sequins to finish.

We Love Stamping - anything goes (option of in the garden)

Let it Snow...again!

morning folks,

I thought I would share another card I made using this fab stamp set from Simon Says Stamp...I treated myself and ordered a few things but this set is just so amazing, I love it so much....be prepared there may be more cards to follow.

First of all I inked up the background with distress inks, I did some blending, I wanted to get a dark sky look.  I then spray some water to lift some of the colour. I then stamped the Snow stamp with versamark ink and embossed in silver, then I stamped the next layer in dark blue and then the final layer in black.  I wasnt sure if the black ink would stick to the embossed areas but it seems ok.  I added some splashes of white paint and some sequins to finish.

Happy rainbows...

Hi all,

Hope everyone is staying safe and crafting!

Well I was super excited to make this card, I ordered some new goodies as a wee treat to myself.  I do love rainbow stamps and dies...very pretty so I did find some inspiration on Pinterest for this. I die cut the rainbows and inked them up individually and then once dry I popped them back into the die cut rainbow. I stamped the black spots on top and the perfect sentiment, oh yes and the clouds were also die cut from the same set which I inked up a bit...finished with some gems and sequins.

Jingle all the way...

Hi folks

It's time for a mid month reminder of our Christmas in November theme over on the Stamping Sensations blog this month.  Our sponsor is Be Creative who are giveaway a £25 store voucher. In addition there's also a lovely die set up for grabs too.

I wanted to use this little Santa and then I had a brainwave that I would make Santa look like he's bursting through the wall...well that was the plan in my head!

I used a brick wall stencil from MFT and the Santa from the Jingle all the way set from MFT too.  I coloured the Santa with copics, added some white glitter to his beard and fur...finished with the usual sequins etc.

Pop over to the Stamping Sensations blog to check out what my teamies have made.

Be Kind...

Hi folks,

Well here I have made a couple of cards with some new products i ordered from Simon Says Stamp.  I inked up the image with fadeout ink (love it) and then used my zig clean color brush pens to watercolour the leaves.  Not sure if you can see but the stamped image changes to the colour that it has been coloured...I am so impressed.  I added some splashes of colour and some black splodges...haven't done that for a while and was missing that look.  I then added the sentiment and finished with gems, pearls and sequins.

Thought I would post an image of each of the cards on their own too.

Happy Birthday...

Hi folks,

I thought I would share this card i made today.  I only ordered these dies yesterday and they arrived today so I had to have a wee play.  I watercoloured some card, let it dry and then die cut the leaves.  I sprayed some splodges onto the card and then layered the leaves in place.  I added a little button to the centre, this helped to hide the glue. I stamped the sentiment and fixed it to the card and then finished with some gems, dots and sequins.

hope you like.

It's a Beautiful Day...

Hi folks, a wee card from me today!

I have been waiting so long for this this stamp set to be back in stock and couldn't believe it when I noticed it was available in My Mums Craft Shop.

Now initially I was trying to stamp and cut out the images with my scan n cut but was having a bit of trouble however the lovely Janine and Cass soon sorted me out but that card is work in progress so in the meantime I made this one.

I white embossed the flower and leaves and then watercoloured them using my zig clean colour brush pens (omg I love these pens).  I gradually added more layers of colour and then once I was happy I then dragged out some of the colour from the flower and leaves to add a bit of subtle shading around the images.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink and layered on top.

I then added some black splodges, sequins to finish.

products used:

challenges:
Addicted to Stamps - embossing
Allsorts - Pink October
Colour Crazy challenge - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - totally resistable (white embossing)
