Crazy little bird...

Hi folks, hope everyone is well.

I haven't been on here as much as I would like to as work is still very, very busy but managed to squeeze this one in today!

First I cut a square of watercolour card, I stamped the sentiment using versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
Next I brushed the card with water and I added in a wash of Spectrum Noir Marine, it was quite light to start with. Once that was dry I stamped the bird and the splodges with versamark and embossed in white, then I added some Navy and Moss. I then added some black splodges too.

I used Lori's tutorial over on the spectrum Noir Blog as my inspiration for this one...same principle but I just used different stamps.

Remember I still have my candy on offer, so get your name in to win!

Hello, helloe, hello...

Good morning everybody, another wee make from me today for My Mum's Craft Shop.

This was a quickie card and so easy to make.

I cut a piece of coloured paper to size and stuck onto the card.  I then stamped the Hello in a line above the paper, then I stamped some splodges over the paper and on the white card.  The flower is from the MFT pretty posies set which I coloured with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and then cut out and layered onto the card.  I finished by adding some teeny pearls to the centre of the flower.

products used:
MFT pretty posies
MFT distressed Patterns

Spectrum Noir May Challenge

Hi everybody...have you seen the challenge over on the Spectrum Noir Facebook page??

This month's theme is to use flowers, now how easy peasy is that.

I have used this gorgeous stamp from Stampendous called  Ranunculus Field.  I stamped the image using a versamark pad and stamped the image onto watercolour card and embossed with white detail embossing powder.  I then coloured the image with Spectrum Noir Aqua pens and then gave it a wash with water to blend the colours.  I added some ribbon to finish.

You can also pop over to the Spectrum Noir blog to find out loads of tips and techniques on using all your Spectrum Noir products.

Hello...

Good morning everybody, another wee make from me today for My Mum's Craft Shop.

I am loving these MFT stamps right now...they can be so easy to use with great effects!

So first I inked up a piece of acetate with my watercolor pens and spritzed with water, I then stamped one of the MFT distressed pattern stamps into the ink and stamped it on to the watercolour card, I repeated the process using another colour.  Unfortunatley the stamps are not available but will be back in stock shortly!

I then stamped the flowers from the MFT Buildable Bouquet stamp set using black ink, the sentiment is from the Altenew Label Love set.

Scroll up to the top of my blog if you want to check out my giveaway!

Spectrum Noir tutorial

I wanted to share with you how I coloured this little cutie using my Spectrum Noir Markers and my e-brush.

The image I have used is from Stampendous and is called Nosey Cat.  I stamped the image using black ink onto white Neenah cardstock.

Next I stamped the image again onto masking paper, I cut out the eyes and nose and stuck them on top of the image. I also added the masking paper around the image as I don't want the ink to go onto the white space.

Next, using my e-brush I gently sprayed the edges of the cat with IG2.

Next I sprayed on IG4 to the top of the head and top of the nose.

Next I sprayed with IG6, gently around the edges that I had already coloured.

Now next I stuck down another mask to cover up the image which I have just coloured, you will notice the eyes and nose are peeking through.  I coloured the nose using TN2 and the eyes with DG2.

Once I was happy with the shading I removed all the masks to reveal the image below.

The final addition is some white gel to highlight the eyes, I also went around the eye area with my black fineliner as some of the green had seeped under the mask.

And the final card!

I also have a candy giveaway.....some fabby Spectrum Noir goodies to giveaway, so check it out here!!
