Cutie christmas..

Hi everybody, hope you are all warm and cosy!! Well the snow came back yesterday and it's been so freezy and icy and the snow has to come back again tomorrow!! Oh no!! Well I have only managed this card today as I have had to do housework and stuff as I had to work my day off yesterday to make up for the day I had off when the snow was at it's worst but I did get my Tesco shopping delivered before I went to work...yay...food again!! Onto the card....I bought this stamp at the SECC in October and believe it or not this is the first time I have used it and it's so cute...the pink on her dress looks a bit too pink but IRL it is more red. The stamp is of course from LOTV and coloured with copics and the Papers are Echo Park - Wintertime. I punched some stars for this card as I felt they went better with the image rather than snowflakes. Keep watching over the weekend too, to see if I make the final round of the Simply Sassy competition, I am keeping my fingers crossed...don't think I will win as there are some stunning creations but it's all fun taking part.

Seconds away...round 2 - Simply Sassy Competition!!

Well this isn't the best photo but I couldn't wait til Thursday when I will have daylight and my day off but I will take another then but for now here it is. I can hardly believe that I have actually made round 2 of the simply Sassy competition as there were so many beautiful entries. For our entries in round 2 over at Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy competition is to create a card to whatever you like with the chance to win a Grand Excalibur and a DT spot.

So as you know I quite like to cut out my image and I quite like layers and I also love embossing so I added all of those features. I also wanted to do some stitching which I have done but to be honest it's a bit skew whiff as my machine was not playing with me and I think it may have spoiled it but maybe not...could be an added feature...squint stitching!! I have used Basic Grey - Marjolaine papers, a couple of little flowers I received in my candy win from Lesley which I thought matched quite well and of course some glitter. I hope you like it and even if this is as far as I get in the competition, it's all just fun taking part.

Paper Sundaes DT card

Well hello again all you Sundae bloggers. I hope the snow isn't too bad wherever you are. We had it really bad but it seems to be disappearing now thank goodness!! The challenge this week over at Paper sundaes is "anything but a square"...that's right.

We are being sponsored the by the wonderful Meljens Designs....who have lots and lots of beautiful images online. Well I was a bit iffy about this as normally the cards I make are square or rectangle however this is what I came up with. I cut the circle using a sizzix die and then layered the papers and card onto that, the papers are from Bo Bunny Midnight Frost collection. The image is Caroling snowmen from Meljens which have been coloured with copics, I added some snowflakes and glitter.

A Christmas angel...

Hi all...I hope you are safe and cosy in this weather. I think the worst of it has passed but there is more snow forecast for next week. First I have to apologise to Sue cos I said I would take some photos of the park along the way a bit...sorry Sue but the snow is still too deep to wade through and now it has gone a bit icy but it's also starting to come off the trees but if it returns next week then I will try again. Let me see what dramas have I had this week...well my wellies burst so I had no other option that to put my hubby's old boots on...they were so cosy...pity I looked a bit like Crusty the clown but who cares at least my feet were dry but they have given me some blisters around my ankles as they were rubbing cos they were tooooo big!! Next drama and please do not laugh....Tuesday night I spotted a giant icicle hanging so I thought I would get it...it was begging me so out I went with the shovel but as I am a small person I couldn't quite reach so I had a brainwave...I stood on a little snow hill and jumped up to attack it with the shovel....the kind of move you would make if you were shooting a basketball into a net... well what a shot,I hit it and it hit me back...right on the nose and it burst my nose and I have a bruise. I couldn't believe how fast it came down as I thought I would see it crack and then fall but no...I wasn't even standing directly under it...so beware of giant icicles!!
Onto the card...I have used papers from Bo Bunny - Midnight Frost collection, I embossed a panel with the same patterned paper, the image is from Sugar Nellie and coloured with copics, I punched the snowflakes, the message is from a CC Designs sentiments set and I added some stickles glitter.

3 cards in 1 post....

Well what is this snow like...I spent nearly all day yesterday clearing snow...today I felt like I had been in the ring with Mike Tyson...I am all sore and achy!! Anyway I had kind of started these yesterday but finished them today. The first card I thought would be fun to do....I have no idea where I got the sentiment stamp, the papers are Colourful Christmas from MME, I added some snowflakes and glitter.....easy peasy. I have entered this card in the following challenges.

charisma - sketch
The Creative Cottage - non traditional colours
Top Tip Tuesday - anything goes
Totally Stampalicious - anything goes

The second card I have made using Midnight Frost papers from Bo Bunny...they are really beautiful IRL. The image is from CC Designs which I coloured with copics and to give Emma's apron a see through look, I stamped it again onto vellum and layered it under the ribbon. I punched some snowflakes with the Martha Stewart snowflake punches and added some glitter. This card has been entered in the following challenges.

Cupcake - light it up
Papertake Weekly - sketch
ABC christmas Challenge - Y - Yuletide
Cute Card Thursday - The blues
Paper cutz - 2 papers
Paperplay - monochrome

Oh...this took me a few attempts at colouring this image as I wasn't happy with it. Originally I wanted to do blue and pink but it didn't look right, then I tried blue and red and that didn't look right either so I finally settled for this....I am much happier with this one. The image is Siku and Shiya from Mo Manning which I coloured with copics, I added white glitter on the furry parts of their jackets. The papers are Basic Grey Figgy which I thought looked good with the image. I am waiting on the Eskimo Kisses papers coming along with some other stuff but due to the weather not sure when they will come so decided just to go with these ones. I punched some snowflakes and added glitter. I have entered the following challenges.

Simon Says Stamp - sketch
Stampavie - snow/snowflakes
By the cute and Girly - children
DP2 - glitz & glimmer
Totally Papercrafts - xmas punches
Stamp Something - holiday colours

Merry Christmas...

Well I survived the sleepover...just!!.. They all went to sleep around 3amand then were wakened up at 9am...what is all that about?? So the bathroom routine started...which took forever, then breakfast and then we hit the winter Wonderland in town...it was baltic!! They had a ball at the ice skating...it was so funny watching all those parents with the really small children and them trying their hardest not to fall. Holly didn't want me to go on the ice cos she didn't want me showing off in front of her pals..me being the sporty person that I used to be...I can skate really good...well forwards and backwards but I can't do any jumps. My mum used to be a speed skater and she first took me skating when I was 4 years old and I learned to skate with all the fast skaters....I can still skate really fast!! I remember being at a school camp in 2nd year and we went skating and I had never told anybody I could skate...fast...that was funny, all my schools mates were just standing there with their mouths open saying OMG!! Anyway back to the card...I have used papers from October Afternoon, the image is from CC Designs and I coloured her with copics, stamped the message and then added glitter to finish off. I have entered the following challenges.

An award

I would like to thank Pattie for this lovely award!

The rules for receiving this Award are to tell you 10 things you probably would not know about me, so here goes:

1. I was a gymnast when I was younger and stopped when I was 28 and then qualified as a trampoline coach.
2. I was in the school athletics and gymnastics team...I won lots of medals.
3. At the age of 18 I was a hotel receptionist and met a few famous people.
4. later when I worked for BT...myself and my colleagues manned the phone lines on children in Need...met lots of famous people.
5. My favourite food is pasta..any kind.
6. Followed by my favourite sweet...turkish delight...either kind but I love the turkish delight covered in chocolate and when it's been in the fridge...I eat all the chocolate first so I am left with the jelly part....mmmmm.
7. I don't like gardening..leave that to hubby.
8. I like a good night out...singing, dancing...I have even been known to dance on the tables...hee hee.
9. I can't drive...I am totally rubbish, I go to fast and when having driving lessons I was heading for a JCB.
10. I don't like cooking...I work full time and the last thing I want to do is stand in a kitchen for hours cooking...I don't mind when I am on holiday from work but not on a work day.

Here are the 10 lovely bloggers I'd like to pass this Award on to, in no particular order.

1. Faye
2. Lindsey
3. Lisa
4. Carly
5. Beverley
6. Marianne
7. Ali
8. Pops
9. Lacey
10. Mrs A

Now you have to pass this on to 10 other lovely bloggers.

A wee quick post.....

Well I am not long back from A&E with Holly...that foot she kept complaining about...thought I better get it checked out!! Guess what...it's fractured...it didn't help that her PE teacher wouldn't let her sit out on today's lesson of dodgy ball...she made Holly hobble along. Any no PE for 6 weeks and she has it strapped up but thankfully no stooky. The doc said she had to wear loose fitting shoes or boots...Holly recommended that I buy her a pair of Uggs....think not, I will get her the fake ones from Tesco!!

Fi

for a special friend...

well...what a miserable day..it's baltic, windy and rainy..mega rainy infact!! Holly will not be happy when she comes home from school as she will be soaked...wouldn't take a brolly with her..probably too windy anyway!! Eventually her new straighteners came yesterday so it was the first time for about 2 weeks that she hasn't been moaning about how horrible her hair is and she seemed to forget about her sore foot!! She hurt her foot yesterday morning and she thinks she has broken it...she hasn't cos she can still walk and was able to go out after school with her friends...she is some drama queen I tell you!! Anyway onto my card...I have actually made a few today...trying to get ahead cos it's nearly crimbo time and I will have to hit the shops although I do most of my shopping online...oh yes back to the card...mmm not sure about it. The image is from LOTV...and I really like it, coloured with copics and the papers are from MME. I also added some ribbon, lace, flower, button and a message. Christmas angel...

Good morning fellow bloggers and those of you who are off to the NEC...so lucky. I might save my pennies for the NEC next time instead of the SECC. You must tell me what it's like. I am hoping that I can get a couple of cards done today but Holly is off scholl unwell so she is still sleeping just now but she is a hard patient and lays it on worse than it really is...I almost have to be by her side tending to her every demand.."can I have a driiiink", "can you change the channel on the telly", "can you fluff up my pillows"...that's how it will go the full day....she has a sore throat!!
So the is the first one today...the snowflake papers are from Fancy Pants and the digi image is from CC Designs and I coloured this cute little angel with promarkers and then just done some shading on top with waterpencils. The snowflakes were punched with the Martha Stewart punches...Love them!! I finished off with gems and glitter...hope you like!!

Have I got attitude??

I received this award from the lovely Faye..she's a doll and I need to tell you 3 things about myself and then pass this on to 5 other lucky bloggers in order to qualify for the $5.00 Digi’s With Attitude! Gift Certificate. Lastly, you must display the Blog Award Badge (above) in your sidebar and link it back to the Digi’s With Attitude! Challenge Blog.

1. Recently I left a works night out with one of my friends, it was raining and I started to run and my high heel caught in the turnup of my trousers and I did a nose dive in the middle of the road and landed in a puddle...skint my knees and my hands...may have mentioned that one before!!

2. I like the tins in my cupboards to be in some kind of order and facing the front, the clothes in my wardrobe are in order too!!

3. I always like to please everybody...can never say no, no matter how much I want to say no..I always end up obliging...but I like that!!

The 5 lucky bloggers are....

1. Carly - she'll be chuffed as she's new to blogging and has been on holiday and has 2 new puppies and past her driving test...she will be posting a new card this weekend.

Paper Sundaes DT card

Happy Halloween my Sundae bloggers and my scheduled post...no I'm not working but Michael had some friends staying last and I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to get to the PC for my post. I was also a bit confused at what time I should post this, for those of you who don't live in the UK, British summertime has now ended and clocks went back an hour...it seems I guessed correctly though...phew!!The challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is "For the Boys"....so you can make anything you like as long as it is suitable for a boy. Our fabulous sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who has a massive range of products online in the store. For my card I have used a combination of Kaisercraft and Scenic Route papers. The image I have used is Edwin from the Magnolia range which can be purchased from Simon Says Stamp....the lovely Debbie sent me this stamped image along with some other Tilda's...thank you Debbie!! I coloured Edwin with copics and gave him an extra bit of shading with waterpencils too. I cut the grass from the Kaisercraft papers...to make it look like Edwin is running through the grass trying to catch the dragonfly. I have entered the following challenges.

This was one of the stamps that happened to fall into my hands...isn't he cute?? I have coloured James with copics. The papers are also new from Echo Park and the snowflakes were punched from the Martha Stewart snowflakes punches...yes new too!! Finished off with glitter. I am now to do shopping with Holly...she needs boots for school and a couple of cozy jumpers...we be back later.
