Christmas in August....

Hi everyone..well feeling better..especially after my new Lili of the Valley stamp arrived...think I may need to get a few more! The papers I had in my stash from last year or maybe even the year before...so I thought I would use them up to make some room for all the new Christmas papers have my eye on. Anyway..these papers are Heidi Grace - Frost Boulevard and they are very pretty but this is all the scraps I have left so you can't really see how lovely they are. I coloured James and his crackerwith new Promarkers(still need more as the colours I bought are all a bit dark) and then touched up with waterpencils...it is very therapeutic...isn't it Lindsey?? I layered the image onto an embossed panel circles and also added a ribbon and the merry christmas charm which I totally forgot I had and of course a few snowflakes....can't have Christmas without snowflakes!! Xmas with Simon Says Stamp

Here we are with another Sunday over at Paper Sundaes and my scheduled post..hopefully!! I haven't really been feeling well this week so the card is a bit of a rush job...so this week I have used Doodlebug papers and the stamp is from Hero Arts and has been coloured with copics. I added a ribbon and a few sequins to finish off. Happy Birthday Anya...

Hi folks...well I having been making much this week as I wasn't feeling 100% but I have been doing wee bits on this one over the last few days and finally finished it today. The papers are from Stampin' Up - Seet Pea collection, I have coloured Anya with copics and also added some 3d glaze to her brolly and her buttons...not sure if you can see in the photo. My Beautiful Sweet Pea and Paper Sundaes DT Card

Welcome to another Sunday and my scheduled post...and the challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is Crystal's sketch. This week we are sponsored by Paper Jewels, they have masses of fabby products in their store.

For my card I have followed Crystal's sketch and I know you are thinking...here we go again another one of those cards but I love this image and personally I think it works well with these papers and I just love the butterfly which I have layered to give a 3d look. First I distressed the edge of the card with ink....the papers are Crate papers - Brook collection and the image is a sweet pea and coloured with copics. I added 2 swirly/rolled flowers which were die cut using my new dy-namics die and a message then added some glitter to the flowers and around the edge of the card. Birthday girl...

Well I'm not sure about this one...my mind wasn't really on it today but I thought I would just doodle away with this one anyway. The papers are from the Stampin Up Sweet Pea collection, the image is a Gorjuss girl from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with Promarkers and I touched up with pencils although I had to paper piece her face cos the black ink bled into her lovely little cheeks and I made a muck of it trying to fix it so I did another face and patched it in.....and I added 2 swirl flowers, 2 ribbons and a message. I added some glitter to finish off. I have entered this card in the challenges below:

Happy Birthday....

Hi all....well I think I will be having an early night tonight as I was at work before the birds came out this morning!! Mr poor PC has been injured...it looks like the screen has been shot...it's got a round splodge with sort of coloured spears coming out of it and 2 blocks of whiteness...so I can only see about 3/4 of the screen so I will need to get a new one....there goes my crafting budget yet again although I won Passion for Promarkers challenge last week so I bought myself some new Promarkers...woo hoo...don't need to nick Holly's ones. Anyway I am not doing anything other than this post...the housework will need to wait. I forgot I had these papers so I thought I would give them a bash...Crate Papers, I think they are the Bliss Collection and the image is one of my many favourites from Sugar Nellie but I love this one as you can make it fancy or plain so I have decided to paper piece her with the same paper. I have coloured her face, arms and hair with copics. I have entered this card in the following challenges:

You're the best...Paper Sundaes DT card

Welcome to another Sunday and hopefully my scheduled post has worked as I am back at work this weekend..so will need to do my linking on my lunch which should time nicely with the post if I plan it well. The challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is Danielle's recipe....2 DP, 4 flowers and 3 buttons. This we are being sponsored by Meljens Designs....she has lots of fab digis...pop over here and take a look what she has in her store. I have used Echo Park papers for this card...thought they looked cool!! The image is of course from Meljens Designs which has been coloured with copics...I also added a bit of highlighting with watercolour pencils. I layered it onto a scallop circle which I made using the Stampin' Up slit punch as I don't have a scallop die...takes a bit of practise but I am getting the knack of it now. I also added a piece of lace underneath the image.The flowers I had in my stash and were the perfect colour to match the paper...I hope...and I added 3 buttons to the centres of the cluster of flowers, finished with a little message. this one has new flowers!!

Well my new die arrived so of course I needed to test it out....what do you think...I'm not sure yet. For this card I used Crate Papers - Paper Doll Collection and the image has been coloured with copics. I added ribbon and a ribbon charm but I had to colour the ribbon to match the card...now the flowers were made with my new die-namycs die from My Favourite Things...it's just a spiral and then it's rolled to make this type of flower. I added pearls to the centres of the flowers. I also embossed the backing panel with swirls as I don't have a swirl die...yet. I have entered this card in the following challenges:

ooh I love snowmen...

Hi all...I sat up late last night making this card....I love snowmen. The papers I had in my stash, I think they are from All My Memories, the image is from Sassy Cheryls...she has fab snowmen which I coloured with promarkers and then I went over with pencils. I made this a little shaker one and added some white glitter inside for a frosty look. I have entered this card in the following challenges:

Look...no flowers!!

Well I thought I would try a bit of experimenting with my colouring...as I can't afford to buy prismas or more so more Promarkers. I had this little digi image in my stash so I have been practising...I gently coloured this with copics and then I went over with my water pencils which seemed to do the same job as prismas. I tried it with water pens but they didn't work...so the darker areas are where I added the pencils and I pulled the colour out...maybe it's not as good as prismas but only those that use prismas would know that but I am happy with how these worked. The papers are from Kaisercraft which I think work well with image. The message is also from the Kaisercraft. I have entered this in the following challenges:

Sweet flower girl...

Well what a glorious day it's been today so I have been in and out bewtween some tidying up in the garden, washing and doing bits to this card. This is one of my favourite stamps..The flower Girl from Sugar Nellie which you buy from Funky Kits...I love her!! She has also been coloured with copics. The papers are also one of my favourites just now...Brook collection from Crate Papers. I distressed the edges of the papers and added a tiny edge of stickles, I also embossed and sanded the panel underneath the image. I didn't have ribbon that matched so I used some Stampin' Up white ribbon and coloured it green, I also added a bow the same colour and attached a button. I stamped the message and punched it out and layered that on to the scallop circle and again I added a button to the centre. I added dots at opposite corners with a brown pearl pen...just new and quite like it...you can but them at Quixotic Paperie....and finally my fabby flowers...well I think they are fabby...these have ben cut with my favourite gadget...the sizzix 3d flower die. Paper Sundaes DT card

Welcome to another Sunday and the challenge over at Paper Sundaes this week is metal...you can create anything you like as long as it has something metal on it. Our sponsor this week is Stamp and Create who have some fabulous products in their store. For my card I have used MME papers and a Wags 'n' Whiskers image. I have coloured this image with promarkers but I am limited for colours for now as they belong to Holly and she only has a small amount...but I think it matches the papers. I have added some chunky white glitter to the hats to give them a bit of a fluffy look...for the metal I have added 3 snowflake brads, a ribbon charm and message all from Making Memories....I then added some star buttons to finish off. Summer Fun

Good morning all..hope you are having a lovely Saturday morning....well her is the first of today's cards. I have loved this image from the moment I saw it...it's so fun...it looks like my friend's little lhaso apso...and he's just so cute!! The papers are Bo Bunny's Sun Kissed collection and the image is from Wags 'n' whiskers which I coloured with copics...I am going to try out Holly's Promarkers in a bit for a change. I thought these papers were very summery and I have tried to make it look like the sun in the sky and the strip of blue is to resemble to sea??..oh and I made the sun by die cutting a daisy and snipping the ends of to make the petals look more like rays... I'm on a roll....

I'm on a roll this morning although I did make a start on this last night...not sure if I like what I have one with the flowers as they looked a bit lonely on their own so I layered them on to a different floraly thing..anyway it's done now. This one is for you...Faye...If I knew you were coming I'd have baked a cake..

When I saw this image I just I had to have it...although I am not 100% happy with the colouring so I might do another but for now here we are. I wanted to enter the simon says Stamp challenge this week but couldn't think of a song that would match a card but when I started colouring I started humming a wee tune to myself and I thought...perfect. The papers are from Scenic Route...which I need to get more off as I am running out and I am liking these ones...the image is a Whimsey Meljens Designs image which has been coloured with cpoics, I added some glaze to the spots/sweets on the cake but you can't really see it in the photo, I also added some chalk around the flame of the candle to give it a glow...hope you like an I have entered in the following challenges:

Happy Birthday to you....

Another rainy day here...what can I say!! These are new Echo Park papers which I bought last week so I thought today was as good a time as any to use them....now this one was a bit of a disaster but I think I have rescued it....I bought one of the pearl pens from Quixotic and added this to the corners...then I forgot I had done that and stuck my thumb right on top...so I had a brainwave!! i thought I will wait until it is dry an then pick it off...only thing it took some of the paper off too so I had to make the dots slightly bigger than had wanted but I think it looks ok. I have coloured Brigitta and the fence with copics...Brigitta is from All That Scraps and the fence is from Pollycraft. I distressed the edges of the paper and around the circle and added a message which was in my stash...no flowers!! I have entered this card in the challenges below...remember I have candy..

Birthday girl...

Anothe card fom me today...well seeing I am holiday from work...lol. I made this card for a couple of challenges...again I tried shading and blending but the bottom part of the dress looks a bit iffy!! Material...a material girl...

Well...when I found this image ove at Tiddly Inks I knew I just had to have her....I think I first saw her on Faye's blog though but forgot all about her until now. I coloured Daddy's girl with copics...I even managed to do some shading on this which I am quite please with. Paper Sundaes DT card

Well hi all...I'm so excited today as this is my first card on the Paper Sundaes DT. I am so chuffed to be part of the DT as it is one of the challenges that I like to take part in most weeks as it's always so much fun!! The challenge this week is to include stitching and is also sponsored by Belles & Whistles. Pop on over to the Paper Sundaes challenge blog to take part this weeks challenge. The papers I have used in my card are from Scenic Route which is not a brand I have used before but when I saw these ones .....well need I say more?? The image is Beary Big Hugs...so cute which is from Belles & Whistles and I have coloured with copics to match the paper, the flowers I cut with the sizzix 3d flower die...my favourite gadget at the moment although I have another on order so might be some competition there. I finished off with a stamped message and added some fake stitching as my real stitching is not too hot!! I hope you like my first DT card, I have also enteed this one in the following challenges:
