O Christmas Tree...

Hi folks,

I thought I would share this wee card I made this afternoon.  I have had this stamp set for ages and not had the chance to use it until today.  This was just a quick card, the trees are individual stamps so stamped them separately in different colours, I thought the sentitment fitted perfectly under the trees, I added a tiny amount of splashes and sequins.

Hope you like it.

Snowflake Wishes...

Morning folks,

I just love this stamp set, I have been on a roll but trying to make the cards slightly different. The lovely Brenda asked if I would like to be a guest designer for Allsorts, which of course is no trouble so I thought I would share another snowflake card with them.

I inked up the background and when dry I stencilled some little snowflakes with texture paste, once that had dry I added some more colour to the background. I then stamped some snowflakes and embossed in navy, white and silver.

I die cut the large snowflake in silver card and layered on top.  I added some sequins to finish.

Let it Snow...again!

morning folks,

I thought I would share another card I made using this fab stamp set from Simon Says Stamp...I treated myself and ordered a few things but this set is just so amazing, I love it so much....be prepared there may be more cards to follow.

First of all I inked up the background with distress inks, I did some blending, I wanted to get a dark sky look.  I then spray some water to lift some of the colour. I then stamped the Snow stamp with versamark ink and embossed in silver, then I stamped the next layer in dark blue and then the final layer in black.  I wasnt sure if the black ink would stick to the embossed areas but it seems ok.  I added some splashes of white paint and some sequins to finish.

Thanks...

Good morning folks!

It's time for the next challenge over on the Sweet Stampin challenge blog, the challenge this fortnight is "thanks".

You can make anything you like as long as there is stamping on the card then that's fine.

I was having a rummage through my stamps trying to decide what to use and I found this Winnie & Walter leaf stamp set....it's a fab little set.

I stamped the stamps, masking some of them to layer them a bit, I coloured them with my zig clean color brush pens (love them), I added some splashes all over.  I die cut the thanks and layered onto the card, finished with some dots and sequins.

For my card I used one of the stamps from one of my favourite stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp which I stamped with black archival ink and coloured with a selection of blue and green watercolour ink.  I did some blending on some of the leaves to give them a bluey green look. Once dry I added some splashes, then a few sequins.  I stamped the sentiment and layered on top.

Thank you...

Hi folks,

I thought I would share this card I made at the weekend, I was just really experimenting and surprised myself with this one.  I saw something similar on Pinterest and thought I would have a go.

So first I sprayed my card lightly with a mist of water, then I painted watercolour ink onto the butterfly stamp and stamped onto the card.  I then tilted the card and sprayed it again so the watercolour ink would run and mix together....I did get a bit heavy handed so had to soak up some of the ink.  Once the image was dry I added some splashes of colour and also some white paint splashes and finished with some dots ands sequins.  I then layered the sentiment on top.

Fairy magic...

Morning folks, it's time for a new challenge on the Stamping Sensations challenge blog.

This month's theme is "anything stamped goes with the option of making it magical".

You can make anything you like as long as the main focus is stamping.

We have a fab prize this month from Fairy ugs...

I did actually love making this card, although that fairy did have some troublesome areas to colour. I first cut out a piece of card and stamped the fairy image.  I then coloured with watercolours and added some subtle watercolouring the in background too. I added some glitter to sparkle up the image (hard to see in the photo).  I added a couple of sentiments from the stamp set which I thought were perfect and then added some sequins and pearls to finish off.....and no doodled edges!

Hope you like.

Birthday Wishes...

So I have something a wee bit different to share today.  I saw the background technique on Youtube....well something similar and thought I would try it out!

First I cut the square blank card and then loaded a paintbrush with water and randomly dropped the water droplets across the card.  I then gently dropped various colours of green and blue watercolour ink on to of the water droplets and left it to dry naturally....I left it overnight to find the watercolour had dried into the card....I thought it looked quite cool so made it into a card.

I embossed the leaves and die cut them and watercoloured with a darker shade of blue to make them pop out a bit.  I added some sticky fixers and layered them onto them card.  I added a piece of stripey paper for a funky look.  I added some splashes, dots and sequins and doodled the edges to finish.

Hope you likey.

A wee mug...

So I treated myself to a wee mug press and I thought I would share what I have made....I have to say I'm a wee bit obsessed!

It does take a bit of getting used too...I have a box of rejects that I can't decide what do do with yet.  I think this is my best one so far above....and a wee selection below which I am happy with too!

Don't go pitchin' no hissy fit...

Morning stampers it's time for another challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

This time we want to see your doodling...yes doodling.  You can have as much or as little as you like.

Now I do love a bit of doodling (incase you didn't already know that) so this is perfect for me to showcase the doodling that I like to do. First of all I stamped up this Whimsy stamp and coloured using copics.  I stamped a couple of sentiments from the same set...I have to say these are hilarious! I added some sequins and dots too.  I then doodled around the edges and then shaded in some of the doodled line so it has a checkered effect, now I like using this kind of doodling when there's lots of white on the card as I feel it really stand out.  I then layered the panel onto some coloured card and then onto the card blank.

Hope you likey!

Friend...

Morning folks,

I am here today with my card I made for Allsorts Challenge....yes I have been asked by the lovely Brenda to take a guest spot, today being one of them.

The theme is to use your favourite stamps or dies...now I do have many favourite stamps so it was a hard decision on which to use but eventually I decided on this little leaf stamp from Simon Says Stamp - Be kind. I do love it, it's so simple to colour.  Today I stamped and coloured with watercolours, I did use blue and green and then tried marbling them a bit and I also added in a bit of silver watercolour...its hard to see that in the photo.  I added some shading around the leaves and some splodges and sequins.  Oh I saw a card that had a wee paper strip which I thought was quite funky so I added the stripey paper to finish off.

Pop over to the Allsorts Challenge blog to check out the rest of the teams cards.
