Happy Birthday...

Morning folks,

My first post since returning from our holiday which was great although I caught covid when I was away so the last couple of days was a bit rubbishy however the weather was fab and we did cram in lots of beach walks....can't wait to go back in December and next May, here's a couple of photos...

My nephew had his telescope and we managed to see a few stars and even saw the craters in the moon but he managed to take a photo of saturn through his telescope...it was quite amazing!

It's time for the mid month post over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is anything stamped goes with the option of garden delights.

This month the prize up for grabs is £25 Stamp Addicts voucher.

I thought I would try something different....so I stamped the poppies onto grey polka dot paper using red and black.  I stamped the verse also on the same paper then layered it onto black card and then layered on the card panel.  I added a birthday sentiment and some dots and sequins to finish.

Morning folks,

Hopefully my post schedules ok as I'm on my holidays, it's been a long awaited one after a rubbishy year that we have had, hopefully we have some good weather to chill in.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is anything stamped goes with the option of garden delights.

This month the prize up for grabs is £25 Stamp Addicts voucher.

For my card I thought I would try something a bit different for me...I first stamped the flower with memento ink and coloured with copics.  I then masked the flower and inked up the background with green and blue distress inks.  Next I used a stencil and coloured with a darker blue, then I used a dot stencil and inked up with white.  I stamped up some random lines/grid behind the flower head.  I added some splashes of white paint.  Once dry I unmasked the flower and added some sequins and dots...oh and I stamped the sentiment and layered that on top....I'm quite happy with how this has turned outy.

It's a sunflower day...

Morning folks,

I'm her with my mid month post for Stamping sensations.

The theme this month is the mood board below but remember the main focus should be stamped.

We also have the fab prize below to giveaway to one lucky winner.

2 prizes, Santoto Gorjuss girls stamps/die/stickers and Woodware stamp Craft Stash

For my card I stamped the large sunflower with memento ink, it took a few attempts as I just couldn't it to stamp evenly, this still has a little missed part from the centre but I coloured it to make it look like the light is hitting that spot.  I coloured this image with copics...I haven't used my copics for a bit so it was good to colour with them again.  I actually used four different shades of yellow, four different shades of brown a three different shades of blue.  I added some little splashes which I kind of regretted afterwards but I think it still turned out ok. I also added some sequins.

Viva Las Vegas...

Morning bloggers

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme is "inspired by a book/song or film...I did struggle trying to see what stamps I had that would fit and then it came.....however this wasn't the vision I had in my head.

I stamped Elvis with memento ink and coloured with copics and then I cut him out.  I stencilled the sun rays although I thought I could make it like a dark background and the stage lights shining to make the rays...not quite!  I die cut the letters and fixed some gems...yes to look like lights.

Well...it's something a bit different!

Be Positive...

Morning folks,

Time for a new challenge over on the Less is More Challenge blog.

Theme is to make a one layer card and there's also a photo to give you some inspiration.

I can't believe we are into August already, it will soon be Christmas ha ha!

For my card I stamped this daisy with memento ink and coloured with caran d'ache pencils....I do love those pencils and really need to practice with them.  I have actually used seven different colours to colour this daisy...I did blend them and I used off white colours too as I wanted the flower to pop out against the white card.

The theme this fortnight over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog is "flowers". Remember the main focus should be stamped.

For my card I stamped this lovely flower with archival ink and I actually coloured it with pigment ink with a blending brush, I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I think it looks quite subtle.  I added some shading around the flower and some splashes.  Oh and I was having doodling withdrawal symptoms so I added some to this card.

Have a zesty birthday!

Hi folks,

Thought I would share this card I made...it has taken me a few days to work out how to work the embossing, stamping and dies together but I am quite happy with how it turned out....might try some pink grapefruit next lol!

The set is from Stampin Up, first I embossed the fruit, then I stamped the fruit on top of the embossed panel...this was tricky lining it up and then again tricky lining up the dies to cut the fruit out.  I stamped little flowers in the background and layered the fruit on top, I added the sentiment and some sequins and enamel dots to finish...no splodges this time!

Happy Birthday...

Morning folks,

I finally got the chance to use this fabby stencil, I love giraffes.

The lovely Brenda asked me if I would like to be the guest designer over on the Allsorts Challenge Blog, which of course is no trouble!

For my card I use a couple of different colours of distress ink and blended them together.  I added my usual wee splodges as the card looked a bit bare without them ha ha! I managed not to add any sequins on this one too. Added the sentiment to finish.
