Spectrum Noir tutorial

I wanted to share with you all on how I made this little clean and simple card, you don't have to be experienced and you don't need to have a lot of pens to make an effective card.

First I cut a piece of watercolor card to size and brushed with water.

Next I scribbled the colors I wanted to use.

Next I loaded my brush with water and brushed over the ink to blend it out and into each other.

Next dry off the card using a heat gun or you can leave it aside to dry.  Then I stamped the image using black archival ink over the inked up card.

Next I cut the stamped image down to size.

Next I layered the image onto some colored cardstock.

I stamped some slodges and a sentiment and then layered up the image onto the card.

Stamping Bella Rachel Loves the Rain

Howdy folks a bit late in posting my DT card for My Mum's Craft Shop...well it should have been here yesterday but I wanted to use this little cutie which was on order so it's here today!!

So the stamp is from Stamping Bella and is called Rachel Loves the Rain and is available right now. I coloured her with Spectrum Noir Markers, then did a bit of shading with pencils. The sentiment comes with the stamp...so perfect! I added a couple of sequins to finish off.

It's a little crazy kitty...

Hi folks...sorry I haven't been blogging all the time recently but you know how it is.....work!!

Well anyway I did manage to make some time last weekend to hit the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show and met up with the lovely Susan for a coffee and a cake...oh and some buying!

This stamp set was one of my buys...I think I quite like them!

I stamped the image onto watercolour card using black archival ink, i then loaded my brush with water and lifted the colour from the tip of the watercolour pencil and just randomly washed it over the card but just around the cat....now I did start quite dark but the more water thats added then the softer the colour gets.  Once this was dry I then coloured the image again using watercolour pencils.  Once the colouring was dry Ithen stamped the splodges using black ink.

Iloved playing with this little kitty...I think there will be more coming...lol!

products used:
Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils
Tim holtz - Crazy Cats stamps

Happy Birthday...

Morning everybody, here I am with my DT card for My My Mum's Craft Shop.

Well today it's very plain and simple, Ithink the distressed look is fab yet it's so quick and easy!

First of all I used some Lyra crayons and scribbled on the background stamp, spritzed it with water and then stamped it onto a piece of watercolour card.

Once dry I then stamped some of the splodges from the distressed patterns set using black archival ink.  I also stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in black ink too.

Spectrum Noir June Challenge

Hi everybody...have you seen the challenge over on the Spectrum Noir Facebook page??

This month's theme is to use a die...and obviously some of the spectrum Noir products.

I stamped the flowers and then colours them using SpectrumNoir Aquablend pencils...oh I so love them and then I die cut them.

I also die cut the scallop square and the inners square....makes it so neat and perfect!  I layered the flowers to the card with sticky fixer, and added a few sequins.
