A little bit of friendship...

Happy Sunday folks...well looks like it's back the the normal Scottish rainy weather!!  So I suppose that means crafting time...lol!!

I sat and coloured this little cutie last night however the dress is not quite the right colour however I think it still looks ok.

So the stamp is from Personal Impressions - A Bluebird's Proposal which I coloured with copics.  The papers are digi papers from The Sweet Shoppe...Oh I love them, they are so my colours!!  I layered each of the papers on to brown card, added some stitching and then also distressed each of the layers.  I added a piece of blue lace under one of the layers. I also added little pearls to each of the corners.  The flourish has been cut with my Magnolia fancy flourish die and the flower is a MFT layered rose...I added a pearl brad through the centre to hold it all together....then added a little ribbon to finish off.

stamp - personal Impressions A Bluebird's Proposal

My favourite....

Good morning folks....this will be short and sweet this morning as it's the Gala Day...woo hoo...so just getting ready. First I have to share Pippi with you...The challenge over at Sweet Stampin' this week is "your favourite stamp". What a hard decision this was as I have many stamps that I really love and I have a bestest favourite which is a Christmas one but I didn't feel like making a Christmas card so I decided to use Pippi Longsocks from Sugar Nellie...she is well up there in my top few!

I used papers from Papermania - Portobello Road and Making Memories, I stitched each of the layers and distressed the edges, the flowers and buttons are cut from MFT dies, I added a twine bows through the buttons, the flourish is cut from a do hickey die, the message is from LOTV and the stamp is Pippi from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics....went with the red, white and blue theme since it was the Jubilee next week.

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog...this week we are sponsored by Letraset, who are giving away a set of pens and we also have our monthly sponsor Joanna Sheen who is giving a £10 voucher.

Happy Birthday Dad...

Well good afternoon bloggers, thought I would post this just now as I don't have anything else to show you but it will be fine as my dad doesn't look at my blog. It's my dad's birthday next week and this is the card I have made for him. The stamp is Sail Away from Stampin' Up, I coloured the sails with polychromos, there is actually white and a very pale blue in there!! The paper is from Jillybean Soup - Apple cheddar soup and all layered onto kraft. I doodled around the edges too...I quite like that look. I cut those little flags out with my MFT pennants die. The message is from LOTV...oops nearly forgot...I added a charm too.

I have given my blog a makeover yesterday as I had a few followers say they couldn't read the text on my other one, I think when it was on a go slow and the page took a while to load, so this is my first post on my new look blog.

Fifi goes shopping...

Good morning folks, well the snow from yesterday seems to have disappeared for the time being although it's very frosty and baltic!!

Well you know it would only be a matter of time before Fifi would be on my blog and here she is...I love Fifi just as much as her pal Pippi..they are best pals on my desk!!

For my card today I have used a mix of papers from First Edition - Up and Away and Jillybean soup - Apple cheddar Soup...one of my favourite colour combos. I have layered them onto kraft, seems to be my thing at the mo, oh and my other thing is the doodles. I distressed each of the layers..the stamp is Fifi goes shopping from sugar Nellie which I have coloured with copics. I added some glitter to the furry bits on her boots and jacket. The flowers have been cut with my MFT flower trio die which also doodled, the felt flower has been cut with the same fie and I threaded some twine and a button on to it....finished with a message and some gems.

It's orange...

Good morning my fellow bloggers....now the storms have calmed down, it's now white outside!! I will be glad when this winter is over, perhaps that means we will have a good summer... Well I have been doodling away colouring with my new polychromos, and I think they do take a bit of practising. I haven't quite mastered the blending to get the same effect you get with copics or promarkers but I am not giving up as I really like them!

So, I have used Peek a Boo birthday from Sugar Nellie and coloured her with my new polychromos as I said, the papers are scraps that I have left from Echo Park - Country Drive, I must order more as I really like these papers. I also added some stitching and distressed the edges of the layers to cove up my wonky cutting...think I pulled that one off!!

Will be back shortly with Pippi!!

Sugar Bowl Challenge #71

Good morning Sugar fans and another challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This fortnight's challenge is Erika's sketch below....isn't it awesome?? Of course as always there is the optional theme of "patchwork"....the sketch is perfect to make the theme fit so why not give it a go...

....as normal the prize for one lucky winner chosen at random is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps from Funky Kits and as always if there's over 100 entries.....6 Sugar Nellie stamps...woo hoo!

For my card I have used papers from Fancy Pants - Summers End which I layered onto kraft card and then did my patchwork stitching. The stamp is Foxy - Gorjuss Girl which I coloured with copics. I then cut out the image and layered it onto a kraft circle which I have also stitched, I had to do some distressing to the edges as it didn't look quite even...distressing hides a multitude of sins. I then added some white pencil shading around the image. I cut out the felt flowers and leaves with a MFT die-namics and finished with a little message.

In stitches....

Good morning Saturday campers and my scheduled post...yay!! Fabby weather we are having...not!! I can't believe how rubbish the weather has been this week in Scotland...I was truly and utterly drookit last weekend going to work and at this moment as it's Thursday I don't know if I will be drookit on Saturday yet!!

Well I hope today is a good day...I am on day 3 of my slimming world diet, so far so good but as I say it's only day 3 but I am determined to go down at least one size.

The challenge this week over at Sweet Stampin' is "in stitches". One of my favourites, I love stitching on cards, I think it really finishes them off.

The sponsor is Bunny Zoe who is offering a £10 voucher to spend in her store.

For today's card I have used one of Krista's digis, she is called Frizzy Jynx and you can buy her here. I coloured the image with copics, thought I would use some bright, funky colours and I also tried to colour her boots like real UGG boots...they do look better IRL. The papers are from Fancy pants - Summers End collection...they are yummy!! I added a few buttons to the centres of the flowers, ribbon and a message.

I coloured this one with DI's which did take me ages because of all those fine lines. The papers are from MME - Hattie collection. Oh and did you see...that's right I found my MFT rolled flower die...I hate to admit but I found it at the bottom of my pile of ironing, how on earth it got there I will never know!! i have entered the challenges bwlow.

This is for Elaine...

Oh Elaine I am so enjoying colouring with these DI's...if there's anybody out there that's thinking about it, then I would definitely recommend it...so easy but the secret is good brushes and good card. I have used "This Little Light" from Sugar Nellie...she is fab to colour regardless what you use...but I have Distress Inks. The papers are from Fancy Pants - Happy Together collection. I cut the daisy 3 times and layered them to make a fuller daisy. Now greens like this isn't normally a colour I would go for but I have to say I am so chuffed with this one and I just had to post it now....hope you likey!!

Dig out the old...

Good morning everybody and my scheduled post...I hope whilst you are reading this that my office has warmed up and the drilling has stopped...it was freezing and noisy yesterday.

The challenge this week over at Dream Valley is "Dig out the old stash to use with your new stash". I have used fairly new papers from MME - Stella Rose collection. The image is of course from LOTV which I coloured with copics and I have had that for a wee while now, the ribbon is from The ribbon Girl and is brand spankin' new and the flower has been cut with a sizzlits daisy die...my very first sizzlits many moons ago. I added some zig zag stitching...not sure if it's a bit much but I am a roll with my sewing machine so lots of stitching.

The sponsor this week at Dream Valley is Digis with Attitude who are offering one lucky winner a $10 gift certificate to use in their store.

Pop over and see what the rest of the DT have created.

I love a cuppa...

Morning everybody and another gorgeous day!! I thought I would get this card posted asap and then I can get on with some housework. I think this image sums me up...as I have umpteen cuppas in the morning!! I know...too many isn't good for you...anyway...I have been colouring this image over the past few nights and practicing colouring with DI's...this is my first attempt. I have to say..it's very therapeutic but does take much longer. The lovely Elaine sent me some card to use which is 100% better than the card I was using so may need to treat myself!! The papers are from MME - So Sophie which I cut into squares and then added some stitching to make a patchwork effect. I didn't want to add anymore layers as I thought it was busy enough with papers. I couldn't help myself...I had to stick on some of those flowers. I thought I would enter the Sugar Nellie Challenge on Facebook with this one as it's squares. I was also swithering about entering the Simply Sassy Banner competition too but I'm not sure if the colours are cold enough to match Elaine's....I'm going to give it a bash anyway!!

Don't forget there's still time to enter the DT CAlls at Sweet Stampin Challenge blog and Paper Sundaes Challenge blog.

I hope she likes it...I used this Sweet Pea stamp which is my favourite one and she is called "Come Softly" and I coloured her with copics. The papers are from MME - So Sophie. I stitched the layers of card together, gave the butterfly a 3d look and added some glitter which you can't really see unless you zoom. Look it's my favourite colour combo too!!

Paper Sundaes DT card

Hi all my Sundae bloggers and my scheduled post but I'm not working but thought I would just schedule incase I got caught up in other stuff!! Today's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is "texture".

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who is offering one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate to spend in their store.

I have used papers from MME - Stella Rose collection which I have layered and stitched. I added a scalloped edge with my giant sizzlits die. I made the flower by punching 4 circles of bazill cardstock and then I separated the layers to give me 8 cicles, I spritzed them with water and then scrunched them into little balls. Once dry I opened up the circles and attached them all together with a brad in the centre and then I teased the layers back into the scrunchy shape...first attempt at that. I also added some button twine, ribbon and some gems. I embossed the scalloped edge aswell to give more texture. I coloured Lady Tilda( which you can buy here at Simon's store) with copics and layered her onto the card.
