Hip hip hooray...

                                                                  Morning folks,

It'm just back from holiday up north, the weather could have been better but the scenery makes up for it...back to work on Monday.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme for this challenge is "a card for a child".

I bought this stamp ages ago and I don't think I've used...hmmm maybe once.  I stamped up the images and coloured with copics, I added some white dots to the flags.  I was finished colouring and ready to stamp the sentiment when I dropped the ink pad so I ended up making a little 3d puff of smoke to hide the ink...nobody will know it's there ha ha!

Happy Birthday...

Morning sweet stampers and Happy New Year!

I have been choked with the cold and been left with an annoying cough but it's getting better thankfully.

It's time for the first challenge of 2024 over on the Sweet Stampin challenge blog.  The theme is "new"...interpret that in which ever way you like but remember to use stamping.

For my card I used a new background stamp, first I coloured up the background with watercolours and once dried I stamped the birthday wording. I added some splashes of white paint and some gems.  I also die cut a candle and the birthday and layered them on the card...you can kind of see from the image below.

It's a sunflower day...

Morning folks,

I'm her with my mid month post for Stamping sensations.

The theme this month is the mood board below but remember the main focus should be stamped.

We also have the fab prize below to giveaway to one lucky winner.

2 prizes, Santoto Gorjuss girls stamps/die/stickers and Woodware stamp Craft Stash

For my card I stamped the large sunflower with memento ink, it took a few attempts as I just couldn't it to stamp evenly, this still has a little missed part from the centre but I coloured it to make it look like the light is hitting that spot.  I coloured this image with copics...I haven't used my copics for a bit so it was good to colour with them again.  I actually used four different shades of yellow, four different shades of brown a three different shades of blue.  I added some little splashes which I kind of regretted afterwards but I think it still turned out ok. I also added some sequins.

For my card I stamped the daisies with archival ink, I masked off one of them, I then coloured with watercolours.  Once dry I added some watercolour shading to the background along with some splashes.  I did cut the birthday sentiment and layered it on top and then finished with some sequins and enamel dots.

Best wishes...

Morning folks, happy Saturday!

The theme this fortnight over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog is "flowers". Remember the main focus should be stamped.

For my card I stamped this lovely flower with archival ink and I actually coloured it with pigment ink with a blending brush, I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I think it looks quite subtle.  I added some shading around the flower and some splashes.  Oh and I was having doodling withdrawal symptoms so I added some to this card.

Hey everyone....isn't it baltic today?  The temperature it tells me just now is -1 which is warmer than it was first thing...was -3 then!!

I have had to turn the heating up a wee bit too as Pepper got home from the vets yesterday and has most of her undercarriage shaved off...poor pooch!!  She was diagnosed over Christmas as having cancer so she has been poked and prodded to see what they can do....so we are waiting on further test results coming back before a final decision will be made. :(

Now I had half made this card between last night and this morning ready for pouncing on the postie today with my new die...love it!!  I also did try to go for another colour but I somehow coloured in blue...will save the pink for another day.

So the papers are from MME - Nutmeg collection which I layered onto bazzill card and distressed the edges, the stamp is from Personal Impressions which I coloured with copics, the flourish die is from Magnolia and the flower die is my new die-namics rolled hybrid heirloom rose received today, thank you Kitty!! I finished with some stickles and some tiny pearls made with my pearl pen.

When you Wish upon a Star....

...makes no difference who you are, anything your heart desires, will come to you....yes we all know that song very well..don't we??

Since I tidied my my wee craft room last night, I came across some rubber that needed a bit of love and re-inking ( I don't want to talk about the ones that have gone walkabout) so here we have "Wish upon a Star" from Sugar Nellie. I coloured this little cutie with copics, the papers are from Bo Bunny(not sure of the name, it says back to basics on the thingy but not sure that is the correct name of this collection). I added some snowflakes punched with my MS snowflake punches...then added lots of glitter and pearls....hope you likey!!

Sugar Bowl Challenge #88

Good morning sugar lovers and my scheduled post as I may still be in bed as I am on holiday!! Well another miserable rainy day here in Scotland but I think that's pretty much it wherever you are....I think we will soon need to build an ark!!

Today's challenge over at The Sugar Bowl is the fabby sketch below...

...and of course with the optional extra of "summertime".

As always the prize for one lucky winner picked at random is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps of your choice from Funky Kits....

So for card I have used Lil Sweet Pea from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with Distress Inks this time. I have been neglecting them a bit but as I was on holiday I thought I would have more time as colouring with DI's do take longer....I also edged the image and the message with ink aswell, the papers are from MME Lost and Found Sunshine and Prima Madeline Collection...although they are not the normal summer colours, I thought they were the perfect match for this little cutie!! the scallop has been cut with a MFT die-namics label as has the flower and leaves...lots of glitter on her wings to finish.

The Cutie Pie challenge - glitter and bling
Creative Inspirations - bingo (blue, flowers and pearls)

Ok folks...next up is Bella!! When I saw Bella on Elaine's blog she made me realise how adorable Bella is so i needed to give her some colour!! So last night whilst waiting on Big Ben striking I decided to make a start.

The papers are from Fancy Pants - Summers End, and I have coloured Bella using my new polychromos...gosh does it take long. I think I am quite happy with how the colouring went apart from Bella's cankles...they look a bit patchy!! I dyed those TH flowers to match the card and added a wee message!!

It's Bella...

Happy Friday....it's almost the weekend but I am working!! I haven't really done much blogging or crafting this week. We got bad news on Tuesday that my auntie who lives in Italy died. Some of the family are flying over but my dad can't go due to his health problems, he can't fly so it's kind of hit him a bit hard I think because he can't go and because he is 15 years older that my auntie...a bit of a nightmare waiting on information coming from Italy. Anyway ....I felt like a bit of crafting this afternoon and I thought since it is baltic outside, what better than a card with that frosty feel so here we have Snowboardabella, I think that's her name!! I have used Fancy pants - wintertime papers and I have coloured Bella with copics.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #71

Good morning Sugar fans and another challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This fortnight's challenge is Erika's sketch below....isn't it awesome?? Of course as always there is the optional theme of "patchwork"....the sketch is perfect to make the theme fit so why not give it a go...

....as normal the prize for one lucky winner chosen at random is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps from Funky Kits and as always if there's over 100 entries.....6 Sugar Nellie stamps...woo hoo!

For my card I have used papers from Fancy Pants - Summers End which I layered onto kraft card and then did my patchwork stitching. The stamp is Foxy - Gorjuss Girl which I coloured with copics. I then cut out the image and layered it onto a kraft circle which I have also stitched, I had to do some distressing to the edges as it didn't look quite even...distressing hides a multitude of sins. I then added some white pencil shading around the image. I cut out the felt flowers and leaves with a MFT die-namics and finished with a little message.

I coloured the image with pencils...not sure about them yet!! I added a ribbon bow, button and charm, also a piece of pom pom ribbony stuff. Good morning sugar fans and I hope you are all raring to go with our new challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This fortnight's challenge is Kiki's sketch below....

....and of course the optional theme which is "autumn". As normal there is the fabby prize of 4 Sugar Nellie stamps but if we get over 100 entries then the prize will be 6 stamps...woo hoo!!

For my card I have used papers from Jillybean Soup - Apple Cheddar Soup collection...they are yummy!! The base layer is kraft card which I am loving at the minute and I have stitched each of the layers and also distressed each layer with my TH distressing tool. The stamp is called "Apple of my Eye" from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie which you can buy here from Funky Kits. I coloured this little Sassy with Distress Inks....I reckon this one took me about 4 hours in total to colour as I did it over a few days but I am well chuffed with this one. I added a couple of flowers that have been cut with my MFT flower trio die and then I added a button ans a little itsy silver apple charm!!
