It's your birthday...

    Morning folks,

It'm just back from holiday to Spain with the girlies...the end of our big birthday celebrations.  The weather was glorious and back to frost....hey ho not long til the next break.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme for this challenge is "spots and stripes".

Again I have used a stamp set that I bought a wee while back but not used it, so I die cut the vase, stamped, coloured and cut the flowers.  I used patterend paper for my spots and stripes then layered the little vase on top.  I added some enamel dots (spots) and sequins (spots) to finish.

Hip hip hooray...

                                                                  Morning folks,

It'm just back from holiday up north, the weather could have been better but the scenery makes up for it...back to work on Monday.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme for this challenge is "a card for a child".

I bought this stamp ages ago and I don't think I've used...hmmm maybe once.  I stamped up the images and coloured with copics, I added some white dots to the flags.  I was finished colouring and ready to stamp the sentiment when I dropped the ink pad so I ended up making a little 3d puff of smoke to hide the ink...nobody will know it's there ha ha!

It's been another busy week at work and Ive had toothache ...blah!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme for this challenge is "cakes or baking".

I love this stamp from Colorado Craft Company, it does take a lot of colouring but I think it's fab, hope my colouring has done it justice!  This time I used my copics to colour, then added a few splodges and sequins.

Tag time...

 Morning folks,

It's been another busy week at work and the weather has been pants!  I think the summer missed us up here.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme for this challenge is "tags".

I bought this tag and stamp set a few months back but really didn't know what to do with them...so here we are.  I used some scrap paper and layered it onto some heavier card and then die cut them, I die cut the zig zag and stuck that on too and added a little message.  I guess it's something a bit different and we like a challenge.

Flowers

Good morning stampers, it's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog.
The theme is flowers....any flowers you like.

My craft room is still in a guddle whilst we are making my new room but hopefully it won't be too long...

For my card I inked up this background stamp and coloured with copics...there was way more colouring than I had initially anticipated.  I also added a wee touch of glitter too.

Pop over and check out what the rest of the team have made.

At last...

Hey all,

I thought I would share with you my crocheted blanket that I finished a couple of weeks ago...finally got all those ends sewn in...boy did that take a while!

I am so pleased with how it turned out, this is my second blanket since I learned to crochet back in October...I am getting addicted to crocheting now, I just love it!  My next post will be a card though ha ha!

This was made using various colours of DK and the granny square pattern I found on Pinterest, it's called Circle of Friends.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday...

 Good morning folks,

So, it's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is Birthday girls.  I had bought this new stamp a few weeks ago but haven't had the chance to use it....I thought it would be perfect for a girl.

I stamped the image with memento ink and coloured with copics, I have really neglected my copics so it was good getting them back out again.  I added some little splashes, a couple of enamel dots and some glitter to finish off.

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the team have made.

Challenges:
My Time to Craft - mixed colour florals
Krafty Chicks - all occassions
Seize the Birthday - spring florals

Happy St.Patrick's Day...

Morning stampers,
It's been a wee while since I posted, it's been a bit of a hectic time trying to deal with my dads estate and the anniversary date and the first birthday without him.....and work has been soooo busy too!  I'm nearly there though and hopefully everything will be done and dusted in the next couple of weeks.

My mojo has left me a bit probably just because I haven't done much crafting due to other things I've had to be dealing with which has actually been quite stressful, so I have treated myself to some new stuff....we all love some new stuff.

I have also decided to give my craft room a makeover...well what I've actually decided is to convert my spare room into a bigger craft room to the one I have....watch this space!

So, it's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is St. Patrick's Day or green.

I decided to go with the St.Patrick's Day theme, this was one of my new stamps I bought.  I stamped it up with a few shades of green and stamped a couple of times.  I sprayed the stamped image with water as I wanted a bit of a fuzzy look but not completely watercoloured looking.  I added some subtle shading around the image.  I added some splashes and a couple of enamel dots to finish.

Hope you like it.

A Big Birthday Wish...

Morning folks,

I hope the weather isn't too bad where you are....it's -6 degrees here this morning....bbbbrrrr!

It's time for the mid month challenge over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge blog.

The theme this month is the mood board, and...it's anything goes but remember the stamped element on your card too.

The prize for one lucky winner is below...

Three prizes from AALL and Create, an A4 Butterfly stencil, A5 stamp set and two A6 stamps!

For my card I used a stencil and inked up different shades of red, I splashed some water to lift some of the colour, once dry I added some red splashes.  I then stamped the silhouette flowers and added the sentiment.  I finished it off with a few enamel dots.

Daily thoughts...

Good morning folks,, it's time for the first challenge of 2024 over on the Stamping Sensations challenge blog.

But first, I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year, personally I am glad to see the back of 2023....too many unhappy times, covid and generally unwell...so off to a good start in 2024.  I have a wee holiday booked in March and then a holiday up north to Burghead on the Moray coast to celebrate my big birthday..yes 21 again, i am so looking forward to that...it's the lovliest area for a wee holiday in my opinion, just so calm, peaceful and clean! anyway more on that later...

The theme this month is the mood board...isn't it fab, and...it's anything goes but remember the stamped element on your card too.

The prize for one lucky winner is below...

Three prizes from AALL and Create, an A4 Butterfly stencil, A5 stamp set and two A6 stamps!  You've got to be in it to win it as they say!

For my card I stamped up the layers of the stamp with different colours of dark pink and red ink, I added a few splashes and the sentiment from the same set.  I layered onto coloured card and added a few dots to finish off.

Hope you like it.

Happy Birthday...

Morning sweet stampers and Happy New Year!

I have been choked with the cold and been left with an annoying cough but it's getting better thankfully.

It's time for the first challenge of 2024 over on the Sweet Stampin challenge blog.  The theme is "new"...interpret that in which ever way you like but remember to use stamping.

For my card I used a new background stamp, first I coloured up the background with watercolours and once dried I stamped the birthday wording. I added some splashes of white paint and some gems.  I also die cut a candle and the birthday and layered them on the card...you can kind of see from the image below.
