Hopefully the sun is shining wen this cards posts.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Less is More Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is one layer card that features flowers.

Happy Birthday...

Morning folks,

I finally got the chance to use this fabby stencil, I love giraffes.

The lovely Brenda asked me if I would like to be the guest designer over on the Allsorts Challenge Blog, which of course is no trouble!

For my card I use a couple of different colours of distress ink and blended them together.  I added my usual wee splodges as the card looked a bit bare without them ha ha! I managed not to add any sequins on this one too. Added the sentiment to finish.

I just miss you...

Morning folks,

It's time for the mid month reminder over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge Blog.

The theme is anything goes, with the option of using a stencil, and we have two prizes, mixed media bundle from Oakwood Direct and two stencils

For my card I stamped the flowers with memento ink, I added some light shading around the edges.  I then used the matching stencils to colour the flowers and leaves...of course I had to add some splashes, dots and sequins to finish off, although this isn't my normal go to colours, I am pleased with how it turned out.

Another thistle...

 Hi folks,

Just back from a wee holiday up north, we had a fab relaxed time and actually managed to see dolphins in the Moray Firth.  Been catching up with the housework but needed to get a card made too.

As you know I love this stamp set from Stampin Up, and I was on a roll after my last make ( I had a wee production line going).  This time I stamped the image twice in black archival ink and then added some soft watercolouring to the images an around.  I added a wee bit extra detail to the thistles.  I added some splashes and sequins to finish.

challenges:
We Love Stamping - anything goes (option of in the garden)
Allsorts - anything goes (option to embellish)
Happy Little Stampers - watercolour challenge
Crafty Catz - anything goes

Happy Birthday...

Howdy folks,

It's time for a new challenge over on the  Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.  The theme this fortnight is something masculine, remember the main focus should be stamped.

I made this card for my son's birthday at the end of April, jeezo he is 31!! I stamped the balloons in 3 different colours and overlapped them a bit, I added the strings and the sentiment, I finished with some splashes.  I couldn't add any sparkle to this one since it's for a man.

Pop over and check out what my teamies have made Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

It's your birthday...

Morning folks,

I am hoping my post does post as scheduled.

By the time this posts I will have been on holiday since Wednesday up north and doggy friendly.  I have had such a hard couple of months at home with my dad and then at work....I was in so much need of a holiday and I'm sure by the time you read this I will be enjoying my time off.

The theme this month over on the Stamping Sensations blog  is anything goes with the option of using a stencil...remember you still need to stamp too.

The prize this month is well two prizes, mixed media bundle from Oakwood Direct and two stencils

For my card I stamped the image using archival ink and watercoloured the image, I also added a bit of colour to some texture paste and added to the card with the help of a stencil...not quite the look I was going for but I think it looks ok.  I stamped the big sentiment and die cut it and layered onto the card.
