Birthday wishes...

Good morning folks, and another card from me...

This time I have used my ebrush to create the background and to shade the flowers and leaves.  I first die cut the flowers and then sprayed them using Spectrum Noir Markers, I did the same with the leaves.  I then die cut the overlays and glued them on top.  I masked off a section of the card and sprayed the top section with a matching colour.  I layered the flowers on to the card.  I doodled the edges as normal.  I thought it looked a bit bare so did some arty type splashes with Spectrum Aqua pens and then added some sequins and gems.
Hope you likey!

Some snowmen...

Good evening folks....an unexpected post from me this evening...I completely forgot to post this the other day!

I am sharing my card for the LOTV Design Collective.

A wee sneaky peek at one of the new sets of Christmas stamps that will be available...you know I can't resist a snowman!!

I made it quite plain and simple, I coloured the stamped images with Spectrum Noir markers, I cut out each of the images and layered them onto a die cut scallop circle. I cut a square panel and embossed with snowflakes, I also punched some extra snowflakes and 3D them onto the card and glittered them up...oh yes doodled the edge too!

Thanks a bunch

Howdy folks, well I have been a bad blogger lately, working extra hours at work and getting everything ready to handover and then looking for a new job....anyway I now have more time on my hands so getting all caught up.
So today's card I am quite pleased with...I wanted to make something quite quick using my new ebrush and here it is.  so I first of all cut a piece of white card to size, then I sprayed 3 colours together, blending as much as I could.  I die cut the scribbled roses and stitched them in place, I also added some stitching around the edges too.  I then stamped the sentiment and using sticky fixers, layered it to the middle of the card.  to finish I added some pearls and gems.
pens used: BP6, OR3 and GT4.

You make me happy...

Today I am sharing my tutorial for Spectrum Noir.  I bought this stamp a few weeks ago and thought it would be perfect to emboss and then watercolour, blending and shading those lovely bight colours.  The stamp is called "You Make Me Happy" from Woodware.

For this technique I scribbled the color onto acetate and then spritz with water so that it didn't get too wet and then I lifted the color with a paintbrush .

First of all I stamped my image with a Versamark pad onto Watercolour card from Crafters Companion and then sprinkled with white detail embossing powder.

Next heat set the image, you can just about see my embossed image below.

Next I started colouring small sections of the image with Lime and Moss Green Spectrum Aqua Markers, let the sections dry before moving to an adjacent section, this way the colours won't bleed however the embossing does help with holding the colour in the right place.

Just keep adding some more colour, I have added in Aquamarine.

Next I have added some Amber.

You can now start to add more depth the the colour you have ready used, this adds different shades.  I have now added in Crimson and Marigold and went over the areas that I have already coloured.

Keep building up the layers, you can see they are becoming brighter, I have now added Scarlet, Sunflower and Orange.

The image below is my final piece except for the white spacing in between the 3 panels, I added some Marine and then went over all areas again just to make it more vibrant.

Next I used Jasmine, to fill in the white space...I really wanted the image to pop so I don't want any white left.

Again I have made the Jasmine a bit darker.

Once the image has been fully coloured then cut to size and layer onto black cardstock...now you can see the image does really pop!

And here's my final card, I layered the panel onto and embossed card, added a black ribbon fastened with a button to finish.

Pop over to the Spectrum Noir blog to check it out and other fab projects.

Hope you likey!

Twit twoo...

Howdy folks....what a lovely sunny day it is today...pity it couldn't have been like this yesterday.

Anyway, I ordered some of these Purple Onion stamps from the US and I just love them, they are so cute!

I have used papers that were in my stash and layered it onto green cardstock and then did a bit doodling around the edges. I cut out the floral paper to a square and then die cut a circle to layer on top of the background stamp and then added a little die cut border to frame it.

I used 3 separate Purple Onion stamps...the background with the trees, Shadow the owl and the branch...I did have to do some fussy cutting, I think the cutting took me longer than the colouring!

I coloured the stamps with my Spectrum Noirs as always...hope you likey!

Girls Just Wanna have Fun!

Good morning folks....well almost back to normal after the festivites!

So last night while watching rubbish on the telly, I made this wee card...my favourite colours!

The stamp is from Stamping Bella - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun which I coloured with my inktense pencils, I was more happy with this colouring but did get a wee bit heavy handed on a few areas...hopefully you can't see....lol!  I glittered up the glasses and dresses too. The papers are one of my favourite digi papers from The Sweet Shoppe called Let the Sunshine.  I layered them onto blue card and doodled the edges.  I added a ribbon bow and pearly string...had that for ages but hadn't used it...not sure if this is what you use it for....lol.  The big daisy has been secured to the bow and then I added a button with some twine and teeny pearls to finish.

My new inktense results...

Hey Saturday campers....I was going to save this for my next SN DT card however I had it made and I am quite chuffed with it so decided to share it just now.....need to make another DT card now...oops!

So this is my first attempt at colouring with Derwent Inktense pencils and although it did take me ages to colour, it very therapeutic!  I have been admiring the fabby colouring that the lovely Keeley does with her inktense pencils and she totally inspired me....you should check out her blog!!

The stamp is called Raven from Sugar Nellie ( sadly no longer available) which I watercoloured with the inktense pencils....I started off with a small amount of colour and just up the layers....The papers are from The Sweet Shoppe called Pumpkin Spice....they are so pretty and perfect for Autumn, and I layered them onto kraft card and did my usual doodling around the edges.  I added a piece of pale blue lace underneath. The flower is my beautiful die-namics gerbera which I cut out in white and then coloured to match the papers. I made the bow and button match the flower and added 2 silver leaf charms to that....hope you likey!

Rock On...

Howdy Saturday bloggers....I having been playing today making some cards, a few are finished but I can't share just now but thought I would share this one with you.

It's been a while since I made a cool dude kind of card so here we have it.  The image is from All Dressed Up which I coloured with copics.  The papers have been in my stash forever but I think they are Imaginisce.  I layered them on to bazzill card and duffed up the edges to give them the distressed look,  I tied a piece of black twine around and attached a little guitar charm...the 3 tiles have been cut with the same papers.

Hope you likey!!

Some exciting news...

Good morning Sugar fans....it's Wednesday I hear you say and this isn't The Sugar Bowl I hear you say....well that's right, the lovely Karen asked me if I would like to take a 3 month spot over on The Sugar Nellie blog...woo hoo!!  Well I obviously had to think about it for all of 2 seconds...lol!!

So for my first card I wanted to go plain and simple and to try to just focus on my colouring and Butterfly Girl is one of my favourite stamps.  She comes from the Simply Sassy range of Sugar Nellie over at Funky Kits.  I stamped her using memento ink and coloured with copics, building up colour and then shaded with polychromos....I like using my pencils for the finishing touches as I can get a bit finer detail with them as sometimes the pens can bleed too much.

Now I found that embossing folder at the SECC which I had to have as I immediately thought of this stamp...so the make is Craft Concepts....and it is just beautiful...I love embossing with white card, I think it looks so crisp and clean.

Again, I found those teeny weeny butterflies at the SECC, they come in the one die from Memory Box and are just so perfect not just with this stamp but lots of other stamps too...I just added a bit of colour to them, popped their wings up and stuck them down.

The embossed panel, image and sentiment are layered onto kraft card and I doodled around the edges...I think that helps to pop an image.

The message is from Stampin Up and I finished with some pearls in the corner....hope you likey.
