Sending a smile...

Happy New Year to one and all and it's time for the first challenge of 2023 over on the Stamping Sensations blog.

The theme this month is "add some sparkle"...remember the main focus should be stamped.

We have the 2 prizes below this month, Highlight Crafts Crown and Glory stamp set and Lightly Fluttered die set.

I had treated myself to this stamp set a few weeks ago and was desperate to try it out. I white embossed the leaves and then stamped and embossed the sycamore seeds in silver sparkle embossing powder.  I then added some distress ink in blue and grey leaving some areas lighter.  I then added some splodges in silver and black (I like the black splodges).  I then added some sparkly sequins to finish.  I am pleased with how it turned out.

Pop over to the Stamping Sensations blog to check out what my teamies have made.

Sweet Stampin Challenge DT card

Well howdy folks!

It has been a while since I have made a card a posted on my blog which I was missing big time, I have joined in with a couple of card swaps on Facebook but what better a way to get back into it so I am back where it all started all those years ago...I am back on the Sweet Stampin design team.

What a pure chance conversation that was...and I am so pleased to be back.

So after buying loads of new stamps I now have a reason to use them again.  This was just a quick card using a large stamp from Colorado Craft Company which I inked up and embossed with starry night sparkle embossing powder.

I die cut the square (one of my new dies) and layered it onto back card...think that makes it stand out.

I rubbed some distress ink over some of the image, stamped the sentiment and added some gems and pearls to finish.

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog for this weeks challenge which is "last minute Christmas", the challenge will run for 2 weeks, so get those last minute cards posted.

Happy Birthday...

Howdy everybody...it's Fi here with today's post!  It's late, but as they say better late than never..

For this card I used the MFT Happy Birthday Background stamp and the MFT Beautiful Butterflies, I white embossed the background on watercolour card. I then stamped distress ink onto a piece of acetate, I loaded my brush with water and lifted the ink and washed it randomly over the embossed writing.  I didn't want to cover it all.  I inked up the butterfly with distress inks aswell and cut out.  I used sticky fixers to layer the butterfly and the sentiment. The sentiment is from Altenew Label Love.
I finished with some ink splodges and sequins.
