Good evening...

Good evening folks....well at a bit of a loose end and I am tired as I have been at work all day and my eyes are seeing numbers, rotas and shifts!! It will be like that for the next 3 weeks....aarrrgghh!!

I was having a wee browse and saw The Stamp Man were holding their annual awards so I thought why not enter.

Now you have to choose your best or favourite project from 2011 and although this was difficult as I think most of the cards that I have made are special to me in some way but I have chosen this one as my favourite which I originally posted here.

This one was of the first cards I made colouring with Distress Inks. I was completely inspire by the lovely Elaine who colours with DI's and Nick Bantock Inks and does it amazingly. I absolutely love colouring with them too and yes I do need more practise but I did take almost 4 hours to colour this Sassy so I think it deserves to be my favourite!! The stamp is Apple of my Eye from Sugar Nellie which you can buy here from Funky Kits. the papers I have used are fabby too, they are Apple Cheddar Soup from Jillybean Soup.

Paper Sundaes DT card

Hi all my Sundae bloggers and my scheduled post but I'm not working but thought I would just schedule incase I got caught up in other stuff!! Today's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is "texture".

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who is offering one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate to spend in their store.

I have used papers from MME - Stella Rose collection which I have layered and stitched. I added a scalloped edge with my giant sizzlits die. I made the flower by punching 4 circles of bazill cardstock and then I separated the layers to give me 8 cicles, I spritzed them with water and then scrunched them into little balls. Once dry I opened up the circles and attached them all together with a brad in the centre and then I teased the layers back into the scrunchy shape...first attempt at that. I also added some button twine, ribbon and some gems. I embossed the scalloped edge aswell to give more texture. I coloured Lady Tilda( which you can buy here at Simon's store) with copics and layered her onto the card.

Crafts & Me - ribbon
Papertake Weekly - truly dimensional
Just Magnolia - happy birthday
Your Next Stamp - texture
The Crafty Purple Frog - touchy feely
Catch the Bug - 4 or more layers
The Stamp Man - embossing
My Partner in Crafting Crime - layer it up
Stamptacular - Magnolia stamp
Sqigglefly - fabric/stitching

Well hello my blogging buddies and welcome to another Sundae here at Paper Sundaes. The challenge this week is "distressing"....that means you can rip, tear, ink....as long as it's some kind of distressing on your project.

Once again our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who are offering a $15 certificate for one lucky winner.

For my card this week, I have used Basic Grey - Marjolaine DP...loving these just now. I inked up the edges of the papers and layered them onto brown bazill card which I frayed around the edges. The stamp is Tilda which you can buy online here at Simon Says Stamp, I cut her out and layered her onto a digi stump from CC Designs...coloured both with promarkers....making use of my new large collection which I won a few weeks ago!! The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts...I think I am getting a bit hooked on these too!! I also added some distress ink to the flowers and then added some gems and a message.

Just Magnolia - sketch
The Crafty Purple Frog - distressing
Paper Cutz - anything goes
The Stamp Man - distressing
Die cut Dreams - digi and rubber
I ♥ promarkers - simple and sweet
Simon Says Stamp - 3 from bingo card(gems, flowers, punches)
