Let it Snow....

Good morning bloggers...well it's certainly not snowing here as yet although there is snow further north in Scotland but it is absolutely chucking it down. Last night I took Holly and her friend to the winter wonderland which opened and again it was pouring!! They loved it, there was ice skating, lots of snow and ice type rides and oh hot chocolate and of course the beautiful Christmas lights....twas lovely!! We will be going nearer Christmas again, probably when it is actually snowing but we will have a look around the German Market next time.

So before I get on with some chores i thought I would share my card with you..now I did colour this Santa in last week but didn't really have time to make him into a card so here we are!!

I have used scraps of paper I had in my stash from October Afternoon - Very Merry, the Santa is from Sugar Nellie and I coloured him with copics, I added some sparkle to his furry bits and the added a message and a glitzed up snowflake...hope you like!!

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #68

Good morning sugar fans and I hope you are all raring to go with our new challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This fortnight's challenge is Kiki's sketch below....



....and of course the optional theme which is "autumn". As normal there is the fabby prize of 4 Sugar Nellie stamps but if we get over 100 entries then the prize will be 6 stamps...woo hoo!!

For my card I have used papers from Jillybean Soup - Apple Cheddar Soup collection...they are yummy!! The base layer is kraft card which I am loving at the minute and I have stitched each of the layers and also distressed each layer with my TH distressing tool. The stamp is called "Apple of my Eye" from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie which you can buy here from Funky Kits. I coloured this little Sassy with Distress Inks....I reckon this one took me about 4 hours in total to colour as I did it over a few days but I am well chuffed with this one. I added a couple of flowers that have been cut with my MFT flower trio die and then I added a button ans a little itsy silver apple charm!!

If only me legs were...well you know...

Good Evening an almost good night but before that I just had to ink up one of my new stamps, so for quickness it has been copiced!! Oh i do wish I had long legs like this....but I'm afraid they are the opposite....lol!! anyway......
The stamp is of course City Girl from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie which I have coloured with cpoics. The papers are from Kaisercraft - Pink Gelato which are really soft and subtle. I inked the edges with DI's and added stitching, added some stickles to the image and of course I have used my favourite MFT flower die to punch out those flowers which have a little pearl in the centre....right off to switch off the slow cooker for tomorrow's dinner.

All in blue....

Just a quickie tonight as I have been so busy today with housework and I am now knacked!! I have used papers from First Edition - Up, Up & Away and the image is Oh La La from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie and I have coloured her with copics. I distressed the edges on each of the layers and embossed the circle and then gave it a bit of a rub down so you can see the white coming thorugh....Hope you like!!

Dig out the old...

Good morning everybody and my scheduled post...I hope whilst you are reading this that my office has warmed up and the drilling has stopped...it was freezing and noisy yesterday.

The challenge this week over at Dream Valley is "Dig out the old stash to use with your new stash". I have used fairly new papers from MME - Stella Rose collection. The image is of course from LOTV which I coloured with copics and I have had that for a wee while now, the ribbon is from The ribbon Girl and is brand spankin' new and the flower has been cut with a sizzlits daisy die...my very first sizzlits many moons ago. I added some zig zag stitching...not sure if it's a bit much but I am a roll with my sewing machine so lots of stitching.

It's all about embossing at Paper Sundaes

Sweet Pea

Well...I have made this card for a few challenges today. The backing papers are Crate Papers - Brook Collection, the sweet pea has been stamped and coloured with copics. I thought I would cut part of her as I quite like doing that......I just love these stamps! I added a couple of flowers and some ribbon...Faye you will like that ribbon...very soft and fluffy.

A few Challenges

I couldn't make up my mind what to do today...I think I'm still tired from my long shift at work and the fact I was looking at complicated sick pay spreadsheets for 4 days...exciting stuff!! Anyway in the long run I decided to make this card while I'm waiting on my new stamps to come..and my Stampin Up stuff..woo hoo. The backing papers are Crate Papers which I am loving at the minute..need to buy more...the stamp is from PSX which was one of the very first stamps I bought to make my dad a card with cos he likes gardening...and it's a lovely image to colour and I coloured this one with Holly's Promarkers...she's at school so she won't know (hee hee), I added a Prima flower and a little message to finish off....believe it or not there is no glitter on this card!!. Lola Rose

This is the first of my cards today...more to come hopefully...The backing papers are Crate Papers - Paper Doll Collection, the image is from Pink Petticoat and coloured with copics...I made the beads, the flowers and the shoes shiny wih glaze and I cut the flowers wih the sizzix shabby flowers die...and the message is from the set Be yourself - Close to my heart...I have entered this for the following challenges:

Birthday card

My new papers arrived so I thought I would make a card using them. The backing papers are from Crate Paper - Paper Doll Collection, I stamped the Gorjuss Girl, coloured her with my copics and layered her onto the card and finished with a little message.
