Happy Birthday Maia...

Good morning...hope everyone is having fun!! Well the sun is out so while I am waiting for the washing to finish...a quick couple of cards. I made this card for my cousin's little girl who is going to be 1.

I have used papers from Me to You collection...they are sweet!! The stamp is of course " Let them Eat Cake" from Sugar Nellie. I have coloured this with copics and then totally glittered her up!! The number one my friend cut with her cricut for me, added a message, flower and button...oh and the lettering I cut using a sizzix die.

It's happening all over again.....

Good morning sugar addicts and welcome to day 2 of our Jingle Bells & Tinkle Bells Hippity Hop. Before I go on to today's post I would just like to thank you all for your wonderful comments yesterday, it was so much appreciated.
If for some strange reason you missed our hop yesterday then check it out here and join in.

Well the fun is starting all over again today so hop over to The Sugar Nellie Blog to start at the beginning and follow the links to each of our blogs. You need to leave some comments along the way to be in with a chance of some yummy candy too!!

So if you have arrived here from the wonderful Maria Therese's blog then you are in the right place but if not then you need to go back at start at The Sugar Nellie blog...woo hoo so what are you waiting for??

For my card I have used papers from Fancy Pants - Hot chocolate collection which are so yummy!! This stamp of of course from Sugar Nellie - Titiana, which you can buy here from Funky Kits, I coloured this little cutie ever so gently with copics, believe it or not I only actually used 6 different colours for Titiana, 2for skin, 2 for hair and 2 for clothing. I added some white chunky glitter for the fluff on her outfit. I punch a few snowflakes and added some big gems for that extra sparkle!! oh yes and wonky stitching on the layers.

Your next stop is over at the lovely Mina's blog so hop on over to see what she has in store for you.

If you get lost along the way...

Dig out the old...

Good morning everybody and my scheduled post...I hope whilst you are reading this that my office has warmed up and the drilling has stopped...it was freezing and noisy yesterday.

The challenge this week over at Dream Valley is "Dig out the old stash to use with your new stash". I have used fairly new papers from MME - Stella Rose collection. The image is of course from LOTV which I coloured with copics and I have had that for a wee while now, the ribbon is from The ribbon Girl and is brand spankin' new and the flower has been cut with a sizzlits daisy die...my very first sizzlits many moons ago. I added some zig zag stitching...not sure if it's a bit much but I am a roll with my sewing machine so lots of stitching.

The sponsor this week at Dream Valley is Digis with Attitude who are offering one lucky winner a $10 gift certificate to use in their store.

Pop over and see what the rest of the DT have created.

Merry Christmas...

Well I survived the sleepover...just!!.. They all went to sleep around 3amand then were wakened up at 9am...what is all that about?? So the bathroom routine started...which took forever, then breakfast and then we hit the winter Wonderland in town...it was baltic!! They had a ball at the ice skating...it was so funny watching all those parents with the really small children and them trying their hardest not to fall. Holly didn't want me to go on the ice cos she didn't want me showing off in front of her pals..me being the sporty person that I used to be...I can skate really good...well forwards and backwards but I can't do any jumps. My mum used to be a speed skater and she first took me skating when I was 4 years old and I learned to skate with all the fast skaters....I can still skate really fast!! I remember being at a school camp in 2nd year and we went skating and I had never told anybody I could skate...fast...that was funny, all my schools mates were just standing there with their mouths open saying OMG!! Anyway back to the card...I have used papers from October Afternoon, the image is from CC Designs and I coloured her with copics, stamped the message and then added glitter to finish off. I have entered the following challenges.

for a special friend...

well...what a miserable day..it's baltic, windy and rainy..mega rainy infact!! Holly will not be happy when she comes home from school as she will be soaked...wouldn't take a brolly with her..probably too windy anyway!! Eventually her new straighteners came yesterday so it was the first time for about 2 weeks that she hasn't been moaning about how horrible her hair is and she seemed to forget about her sore foot!! She hurt her foot yesterday morning and she thinks she has broken it...she hasn't cos she can still walk and was able to go out after school with her friends...she is some drama queen I tell you!! Anyway onto my card...I have actually made a few today...trying to get ahead cos it's nearly crimbo time and I will have to hit the shops although I do most of my shopping online...oh yes back to the card...mmm not sure about it. The image is from LOTV...and I really like it, coloured with copics and the papers are from MME. I also added some ribbon, lace, flower, button and a message. I have entered this card in the challenges below:

Anyway on to to hopefully the first of today's cards...new papers...woo hoo from Imaginsce which I thought matched perfectly with Pearl. I coloured her with copics and layered her onto an embossed swirl patterned card, I added glitter to make look like Pearl was swimming through the swirling seaweed, also added pearls and of course paper flowers which were cut with the sizzix 3d flower die...love it....I am sending this card to a special little girl...you can read my post on Tuesday all about her and I hope you will join in.

Birthday

My order from Funky Kits came today...woo hoo. I have been busy but I needed to use at least one of my new stamps and this is what I made. I needed to make a card for Carly...my friend's daughter as her birhday is on Monday. The stamp is one of the new ones at Funky Kits and coloured with copics an then I added some glitter, the backing papers are from Bo Bunny...to finish off I added a couple of little flowers which I am liking at the moment...the new sizzix die from Tim Holtz....I have entered this in the challenges below but before you see which challenges I thought I would have a bit fun this weekend....Debs did his a couple of weeks ago and she sent me a beautiful LOTV stamp which I haven't use yet but I will be soon cos I have plans for it...so as I am working this weekend I needed some fun...and if I get the linky thing to work but if it doesn't work just leave a comment on this post and on Sunday night when I come home from work I will pick somebody at random who can choose one stamp from the Funky Kits website as I will be placing another order on Tuesday...so the lucky winner can let me know which stamp they would like and I will order it along with mine and then post it to them...how does that sound??

Ahoy mateys!!

Well this is my last week as Guest Designer for Stampin' for the Weekend. I have loved being involved in the last 2 challenges...so thanks Kimmi for asking me...it was a pleasure. This week we have 2 sponsors..woo hoo..firstly Michelle Perkett is offering 12 cards and 1 stamp from her store - http://www.etsy.com/shop/michelleperkett - pop over to her website and see what images she has on offer - beautiful!! Secondly Tracy from Spesch Designer Stamps is also offering a couple of digital images from her store - http://www.etsy.com/shop/speschdigistamps...these are adorable...a must have!! On to the theme this week - "Getting to know You" - which is to be based on your favourite book...I have based my easel card on Treasure Island....The backing papers and stickers I have had in my stash for ages but I have never use them cos they are so nice and I didn't want to cut them up..well now I have...the treasure map stamp is from whipper Snapper, the pirate, anchor and message were downloaded from Pollyraft..coloured with copics, the transparent stickers on the front were mounted onto card and cut out and stuck on with sticky fixers to give a 3D effect and then I added some Suze Weinberg's beadazzles to make it look like some spilt treasure.

I have also entered this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Creations - distressing

Fab 'n' funky - Get it all out

Sweet Stampin - in stitches
