Howdy folks and welcome to my scheduled post...yep...working!!

Well hasn't the weather been glorious this week...I bet it's pouring down at the weekend when I'm off, that will just be typical!!

So this weeks theme over at Papertake Weekly is "Holidays", that means something that reminds you of the holidays, so that can be travel, beach or sea....so I have gone for the beach...if I am on holiday then this is what I would be doing...bliss!!

For my card I have used Little Umbrella which I coloured with my spectrum noirs, the papers are Echo Park - A Perfect Summer which I layered onto bazzill card and doodled around.  The scallops I made using my die-namics wonky scallop die, I added a piece of lace...although you can only see a teeny weeny bit. I made the sun using my sizzlits daisy die(snipped the ends off). I also chalked some clouds in the background...just very faintly, it is a sunny day after all!! I added a sentiment and some gems to finish.

Time for something a wee bit different...

Well it's very wet and horrible this morning so I guess it's time for another card.  I bought this stamp set towards the end of last year and I have to say it is one of the most beautiful sets I own!!  So I thought I would check out the MFT blog to see if I could enter their sketch challenge using this set.

It's very plain and simple but I think with just the wee bit colour, it makes those poppies stand out.  I cut out a circle using the pierced circle die from die-namics and then using distress inks I inked up in blue and green...makes it look like grass and sky. I stamped sections of the poppies and die cut the poppy heads and leaves.  The text and sentiment is also from the same set....oh and I added my favourite doodling around the edges...hope you likey.

stamps - MFT Pretty Poppies
dies - MFT Poppies and Leaves

The Sugar Bowl challenge - 109

Good morning campers and my second scheduled post or maybe my first depends how blogger feels as to which one it posts first!!

I can't believe it's 4 weeks since my last SB posting...gosh how the time flies in!!  The challenge over at The Sugar Bowl is something a wee bit different...we want you to use your very first Sugar Nellie stamp..

...over 100 entries then that prize increases to 6 Sugar Nellie stamps...

So for this card I have used papers from Echo park - wintertime.  I have used the die-namics pierced circle die and layered my wee image onto it....the stamp is Bumble Bee from Sugar Nellie which i coloured with copics and then gave her some shading with polychromos.  The snowflakes are MS punches and I borrowed my friends snowflake border...can't remember which manufacturer that is. I also added some sheer ribbon although it's hard to see that. I finished with a little message...oh and a couple of pearls.

Please remember to use a Sugar Nellie stamp...rubber or digi to be eligible.

A Little bit of Fashionista...

Happy Sunday everybody!!

So for today's card I have gone with colours a wee bit different to the norm..hope you likey!!

I have used papers from MME - On the Sunny Side, these papers are so perfect for summer...flowers, butterflies and the orangey yellows, the stamp is Fashionista from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics, now I chopped her legs off as she was too big to fit in the circle, think it looks ok like that...and lets you see you can use parts of a stamp.  I coloured the ribbon aswell as the original colour was just a tad too light so inked it up with some distress ink, I also inked up the doily as it looked a bit bland.  The flowers are made using the die-namics layered rose die...added some pearl brads to the centres and also some pearls in the corners.

supplies:
papers - MME On the Sunny Side
stamp - Fashionista Sugar Nellie
pens - copics
ribbon - the Ribbon Girl
pearls/brads - The Hobby House

So a friend asked me if I would make a card for her daughter who is going to be 13 years old, so there was special requirements...a bit of pink, long hair in a braid....and a bee....well think I managed them all and she liked it...phew!!

The image is from A Day for Daisies which I coloured with copics and shaded a bit with polychromos.  The papers are Echo park Country Drive....love these!!  The sunflower has been cut with a die-namics die.  The numbers were in my stash, so I just inked them up and added some glitter and finished with some doodling and pearls.

I thought these papers were just the perfect match for this little fairy...they are Echo Park Park Bench which I layered onto bazzill card, I then doodled each of the layers.  As I mentioned this little cutie is called Golden Nectar which has been coloured with copics.

I also used the flower trio die from die-namics as the little flowers in the image are almost the same so thought they teamed up well, I also doodled the flowers and added pearls to the centres...made with my pearl pen. I have used papers from Echo Park - Bundle of Joy, the image is from Cuddly Buddly which I coloured with promarkers this time, I added some glamour dust glitter to the flowers and the flowerpot....quite hard to see in the photo but they are there!! The flowers have all been made with die-namics rolled roses, the button is also from die-namics and the flourish is from Magnolia.  I added pearls to the centres of the flowers too...I also added some lace and a ribbon...the ribbon is actually fastened around the card to keep it closed...oh and I also stiched each of the layers too...hope you likey!!

A little bit manly...

Good morning Sunday bloggers...where has the sun gone??  It was roasty toasty yesterday but looks like we are back to the normal dull weather today.

So my mum asked me to make her a card for a friend who is going to be 70, she wanted something with a cowboy theme as he was cowboy daft when he was younger.  I told her the only image I had was a half naked man wearing a cowboy hat....and she said that would be perfect....lol!!
