It's orange...

Good morning my fellow bloggers....now the storms have calmed down, it's now white outside!! I will be glad when this winter is over, perhaps that means we will have a good summer... Well I have been doodling away colouring with my new polychromos, and I think they do take a bit of practising. I haven't quite mastered the blending to get the same effect you get with copics or promarkers but I am not giving up as I really like them!

So, I have used Peek a Boo birthday from Sugar Nellie and coloured her with my new polychromos as I said, the papers are scraps that I have left from Echo Park - Country Drive, I must order more as I really like these papers. I also added some stitching and distressed the edges of the layers to cove up my wonky cutting...think I pulled that one off!!

Will be back shortly with Pippi!!

Good morning bloggers and another scheduled post, now I'm not sure which one will be first as they are both scheduled for the same time. I was delighted when I got an email from Dawny asking if I would like to be Guest Designer over at Papertake Weekly for the month of December...I was so chuffed as I do try to take part in their challenges most weeks when I can. so the challenge this week over at Papertake Weekly is "anything christmas" with the optional extra of something dangly, which I completely forgot about...so a good start!!

For my card I have used Fishing buddies from LOTV which I coloured with copics, the papers were in my stash and I really can't remember where they are from. I added a punched snowflake(cos i love snowflakes) and some matching ribbon...it isn't actually as dark IRL. I finished off glittering it all up...hope you like.

It's almost the school holidays....

I folks, the weather is a bit better today so I have been getting my washing hung out. I have been asked to make a few teacher cards, so here's the first one. They will all be variations of this as they are for all different teachers. The image is from Sugar Nellie and I have coloured her with DI's....this one was a bit more difficult as I wanted to keep her with a bit of white...hope I've got it looking white!! The papers I have had in my stash from when I did a school scrapbook so I can't really remember which make they are. I added a button with some twine and I printed the message...not sure about that either!! I have entered the challenges below.

Spring is in the air.....

everywhere I look around....now how many of you know that one???

Well I have not had much time to do anything on my days off this week. Housework yesterday...boring and then I had a funeral this morning but then went for lunch with Lou and then more housework this afternoon...thought I would wash everything in sight since it was nice and I was able to hang the washing outside today and even better..it's all dry!!

So a quickie before I head to Tesco...the papers are from the nitwits collections and the image is from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics and then did a bit shading with my pencils. The flowers have been cut with a MFT flower die-namic die with some pearls added to the centres. Ichalked the clouds onto the oval and some little birds and layered it onto the scallop oval...which I cut by hand with my little Stampin Up slit punch. I have entered the following challenges.

Thinking of You.......

Morning folks...not sure how good this photo is as I have loaded it to Michael's laptop and I don't like the laptop....my PC has a virus...boo hoo!! Hopefully my PC will be fixed today and will be back to normal. I can't believe this has happenend as I only got a new monitor the other day and now this....well I suppose if it's going to happen it will happen to me..that's the kind of luck I seem to have. I actually wanted to post this yesterday to make a few challenges that ended yesterday but for one thing or another that didn't happen. So here we are now...the papers are from Scenic Route - Laurel and the image is from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics and water colour pencils. I layered the image onto the circle which distressed with my Tim Holtz distressing tool. The flowers are cut using MFT die-namics rolled flower die. Sweet flower girl...

Well what a glorious day it's been today so I have been in and out bewtween some tidying up in the garden, washing and doing bits to this card. This is one of my favourite stamps..The flower Girl from Sugar Nellie which you buy from Funky Kits...I love her!! She has also been coloured with copics. The papers are also one of my favourites just now...Brook collection from Crate Papers. I distressed the edges of the papers and added a tiny edge of stickles, I also embossed and sanded the panel underneath the image. I didn't have ribbon that matched so I used some Stampin' Up white ribbon and coloured it green, I also added a bow the same colour and attached a button. I stamped the message and punched it out and layered that on to the scallop circle and again I added a button to the centre. I added dots at opposite corners with a brown pearl pen...just new and quite like it...you can but them at Quixotic Paperie....and finally my fabby flowers...well I think they are fabby...these have ben cut with my favourite gadget...the sizzix 3d flower die. I hope you like this one and I have entered it in the challenges below:

The Sweet Stop - sketch

Delightful Sketches - distressing

Whoopsi Daisy - blue & green

Crafty Catz - buttons & bows

Sir Stampalot - bring on the bling(not sure if you can see all the glitter)

It's a Wedding....

This is a quick post before bed...I made this card for one of my friends at work who is heading off to the USA tomorrow to her nephew's wedding and she wanted something scottish on it. I had the little thistles and heather in my stash, bought some new Pride of Scotland ribbon...couldn't get any Scottish rugby tartan ribbon which I did manage to get before and it goes well with the thistles but I think this one is good too. I embossed the front panels on the card and layered the panel with the thistles on top...the inside was personalised with the names and the date...hope you like...

I have entered this card in the following challenges....

One Stitch at a time - celebrations(just made it in time!!)

The Secret crafter Saturday Challenge - Weddings

By the Cute and girly - weddings

Whoopsi Daisy - ribbon and bows
