Snowflake Wishes...

Morning folks,

I just love this stamp set, I have been on a roll but trying to make the cards slightly different. The lovely Brenda asked if I would like to be a guest designer for Allsorts, which of course is no trouble so I thought I would share another snowflake card with them.

I inked up the background and when dry I stencilled some little snowflakes with texture paste, once that had dry I added some more colour to the background. I then stamped some snowflakes and embossed in navy, white and silver.

I die cut the large snowflake in silver card and layered on top.  I added some sequins to finish.

Elf Made Magic

Good morning folks and my Sugar Nellie post.

So for today's card I am sharing one of the new toppers from Funky Kits....isn't she adorable??  Now this little fairy is called "Elf Made Magic" and is also available in digi format and you can find her here in the Funky Kits store.

The papers are from LOTV and I just made it simple by adding a piece of lace, ribbon and pearls to finish.

A Very Merry Christmas...

Howdy folks...now I just love this time of year and making my Christmas cards....I have used this LOTV image I had from last year as I was looking for something quickish and there is minimal colouring on this one.  I have used inktense pencils to colour the image and layered it onto black clard and then mounted it onto kraft card.  I added a ribbon and bow and added a wee snowflake charm and flower...oh yes and doodles and pearls were added!!

Papertake Weekly GDT card

Happy Tuesday everybody!!

Well it's week 2 of my holidays from work and I have really done much of what I had planned....lol!! So today I am of the help a friend make a start to some wedding invitations but first I am sharing todays card.  Sadly this is my last card as a guest designer at Papertake Weekly.


This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is the fabby sketch below.

So for my card i have used one of the snowmen stamps from LOTV....and I love it!!  I coloured the image with spectrum noirs....

The papers are digi papers from The Sweet Shoppe which I layered onto bazzill card and doodled the edges! I also added a piece of lace and a white organza ribbon bow.  I also added a button and charm to the bow.  The snowflakes are from the Let it Snowflake die-namics set....oh yes...I added some gems and pearls to finish off.

Papertake Weekly GDT card

  

Happy Tuesday everybody!!

Well day 2 of my holiday from work and having a rest...was in the garden yesterday and boy does my bones ache!!  So having a rest day today although as we know us woman never get a rest..do we??


This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is "To Die For".

So for my card i have used one of the snowmen stamps from LOTV....and I love it!!  I coloured the image with spectrum noirs....need more now!!

The papers are digi papers from The Sweet Shoppe, I used various dies from my die-namic blueprints to cut out the squares and strip and then layered them onto bazzill card. the snowflake are alo cut from my die-namics let it snowflake die set nd I also layered them up nd them glittered them up...I added some wee gems to finish.

GDT card for LOTV...

Good morning folks, and my scheduled post....which normally means I am at work but this morning I am off, so catching up on some housework etc ahead of my mammoth 4 month task to sort some stuff at work...

Well this is the last card from me as GDT for LOTV Ideas to Inspire, i love these stamps soooo much and it has been an honour having my cards displayed on their blog.

The stamp I have used is The Top Hat, coloured with copics, the message is from the Grungy christmas sentiments set the papers are Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate...I do need to find me some more of them...the snowflakes have been cut using my die-namics let it snowflake set and then I added some stickles to them.  I finished with that huge button...hope you likey!!

We love James...

Howdy folks...well it sure does feel like winter!!  I've got the fleecy jammies back on...lol!!  I have been practicing colouring with the new contacts and I think I see close up quite well with them, i still have another set to test so we'll see how it goes!!

so I thought I would use one of my new stamps from LOTV which I coloured with copics and then shaded with polychromos.  The papers were in my stash from last year, Echo Park winter wishes. I layered them up onto bazill card and distressed the edges. The trees are a Distinctively Dee's and the snowflakes are from Martha Stewart.  I added glitter to the snowflakes, trees and the image.  I pleated a piece of ribbon aswell...that wasn't easy I hasten to add as I took me ages.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Santa Claus is coming to town....

It's snowing...yay!!

I wanted to try something a bit different, so instead of layering up my papers, I inked the edges with Distress Ink...not sure about it though....

So the papers are from MME - Winter Wonderland, the snowflakes are punched with a Martha Stewart punch and a TH snow flurries die which i glittered up and then added pearls to the centres.  The tags are from LOTV.  The stamp is from sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics.

Merry Christmas....

Good morning windswept bloggers!! Well...what a day and night yesterday for us Scots...we had winds up to 160mph at parts of the day. The extreme weather caused havoc all over and I am so glad I didn't need to venture out!! It was a tad scary I have to say and I hope everyone was safe.

So I doodled away last night colouring in this stamp which is Festive Friends from Sugar Nellie and this time I coloured with copics and then glittered it up. I bought a few new colours so thought I would put them to the test although I haven't managed to get the right shade of green, so if anybody knows of a kind of lightish promarker green, let me know. Now when I saw the sketch over at Christmas Challenges, I had to try it...I do prefer lots of layers as I am kind of rubbish at the embellishments so With lots of layers I don't need to add too many other bits and bobs.
The papers are from Fancy Pants - Hot Chocolate collection, and they are yummy!! I have entered the challenges below. I layered the papers onto kraft card and edged them with a fine pen to give them a stitched look. I punched out the snowflake and glittered it up and then added a button and twine. I also added some twine around one of the layers and attached a snowflake charm.

hey blogging fans...I am up late so thought I would quickly post this card before I head to bed and I didn't want to miss the Papertake deadline as I thought this was a fab sketch!! I might need to retake the photo in daylight but here it is for now. I coloured the image with pencils...not sure about them yet!! I added a ribbon bow, button and charm, also a piece of pom pom ribbony stuff. Wish upon a star in autumn...

Morning bloggers....almost the weekend again and I will be back at work :( but never mind somebody's got to do it!! I made this card last night mainly for the Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge which did actually throw me a bit. The papers are just delish they are Jillybean Soup - Apple Cheddar and the image is "Wish upon a Star" from Sugar Nellie, which you can buy here from Funky Kits. I coloured this little sweetie with copics....now I quite like the feathering technique and then blending the colours together and this little skirt is the perfect size to add a few colours too. Although this is a Christmas fairy, I think she could be used anytime of the year but this is mix of autumn and Christmas....hope you likey!!

Merry Christmas...

A quickie post before X FACTOR!! I wonder who will go tonight....I made this card last night just need to finish off a few bits tonight. The paperts have been in my stash since last winter or possibly the winter before. I downloaded Honey from All that Scraps and coloured her with copics, I added some glitter to her hat, boots and jacket, punched out the snowflakes and added the charm and some glitter.

I love this little bear so much!!

Well I have been on a roll over the past few days with these LOTV stamps...aren't they just great....I hope they have a stand at the SECC at the end of the month!! Now..the stitching...I thought I would have a go again and real stitching but it's a hit or miss...I started off not bad but then I thought I was driving a car and I speeded up and started to go a bit all over the place...that's why I don't drive...lol!! I even stitched the circle...look how squint it is...but I think it adds to the vintage look I was aiming for...hmm. The papers are from Fancy Pants and James is of course from LOTV which has been coloured with copics and I finished with some glitter and 3 snowflake buttons...as I don't have a snowflake punch or die small enough...next on my buy list!!

It's Christmas....

This is a quick post before I get ready to head out to the Pie, Peas and Bingo at the school..I think there is wine as prizes but knowing my luck I will either win nothing or I will win the lovely scented soap!! Anyway onto my card....these papers arrived so I thought I would give them a try, they are totally different to the normal papers I would buy but I thought they were lovely too...they are from Fancy Pants and James with his cracker is of course LOTV which I coloured with copics, glittered him him and added a snowflake and kind of message to match. Twas the night before Christmas....

A quickie before bed..well I have another to post too so 2 quickies.. I am going to try to make some crimbo cards most weeks so I don't have a rush at Christmas time. The papers I have used on this card are fom MME which I really like. I'm not sue what make this stamp is...lost the packet but it's a set I bought at the Paper Mill...stretchy snowmen and stretchy hats...you can make them fat and jolly or tall an skinny...so this one is kind of in between. Winter Wonderland

I thought I would make a quick card for the challenge over at Winter Wonderland. I bought this Patchwork Pals set from QVC so there's not much though needed as you have evrything in the pack...it's fine if you're short of time but I prefer to make my cards with more work in them....hope you like this one.

Winter Wonderland

I made this card for the Winter Wonderland Challenge. The theme is Christmas so Santa!! The Santa has been cut with the Sizzix and given a 3D look, I added some snow to his hat and beard and layered onto Heidi Grace Papers and finished off with a little message from Hero Arts.
