The Sugar Bowl Challenge #67

Good morning sugar fans and welcome to another challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. I hope you have all been tempted with the new sugar that went on sale last week over at Funky Kits.

This weeks challenge is Erika's fabulous sketch below and the option of using your scraps.

....of course the prize is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps but wait for it.....over 100 entries and that goes up to 6 stamps...woo hoo!!

For my card I have used Gorjuss Bumble Bee from Sugar Nellie, which you can buy here from Funky Kits, and I coloured with copics. I have also used a scrap of DP which I think is from Doodlebug. The ribbon was a scrap which I had left over and was extremely difficult to make into a bow, first because it was so small and secondly because of my big sausage fingers!! I also added a couple of heart pins I had in my stash. I finished with some doodled lines too...hope you likey!!

Make sure to check out The Sugar Nellie blog to for added inspiration.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #66

Ooh....I am so excited this morning for 2 reasons, firstly, this is my first DT card for The Sugar Bowl. What started as a bit of fun on Facebook led to bigger and better things so you never know ladies. The lovely Gayle asked Cathy and I if we would like to join The Sugar Bowl Design Team...well how could either of us turn that down....are we mad!! NO!!

So this fortnight we have Marlena's fabulous sketch below...

...and of course the optional theme which is "for the girls".
One lucky winner chosen at random will receive 4 stamps of their choice but wait for it...if we get more than 100 entries then it will be 6 stamps...how fab is that??

For my card I have used a few of my favourite things...the image is Gorjuss Flower Girl from Sugar Nellie, which you can buy here from Funky Kits, I coloured her using the feathering technique with copics and then cut her out to give her a 3d effect on the card, the papers are MME - Blush collection. I added some buttons, a flower and a little message which is also from the same MME collection, I finished with a touch of stickles around the edges of the layers...oh yes which I stitched!! hope you like my first DT card for the Sugar Bowl.

My second reason for being excited is because today marks the start of our Sneak Week...

...so hop on over to The Sugar Nellie blog to check out what the sweeties are giving you a little peek of..

A Christmas Sassy...

Good evening folks and a quick post from me. Here is my next card for The Sugar Bowl challenge...not a Christmas stamp but it could be..what do you think?? The papers a mix from my stash, can't remember which brands they are but they are Christmas ones!! The image is "Little Light of Mine" from the Simply Sassy range of Sugar Nellie, which you can buy here from Funky Kits, I have coloured her with copics, added the snowflakes, glitter and wonky stitching.

Today is the anniversary of the death of my nephew who was tragically taken from us 6 years ago after being dropped off at school so as a special wee tribute to him I am going to offer 2 Sugar Nellie stamps to one lucky follower from the next release of stamps....so just leave a comment by Sunday 21st at 9pm on this post and I will choose a comment at random. You don't need to post this on your blog or sidebar. The only thing is you'll need to wait until the stamps are released but that's not long.

I am running out of sugar....

Good morning my fellow bloggers and another lovely day...well hopefully. I thought I would start the day of with some sugar.....now this is not something I have done often but I seen all the fab wow cards and they look great but I am not sure about this one...I have used white card and embossed the panels but layered it onto coloured card, added the wonky stitching. The image is once again Butterfly girl(which you can buy here from Funky Kits) which I have coloured with DI's...getting addicted to them and that's Elaine's fault!! I actualy stamped the image onto Fabriano card and then cut it out to stick to the white card...fabriano is slightly off white so it was a different shade of white for my card.

Here's a little cropped close up....I think I like her!!

Ah, sugar......

Well bloggers...what can I say...looks like my job wasn't done!! I really made this card for the Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge but somehow it seems to have worked it's way on to the Sugar Bowl too...wonder how that happenend!! Now I couldn't crop this one down as much as I normally would do otherwise half the flower would be missing...

Now then the papers are from Echo Park - Country Drive, the image is Butterfly Girl from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie which I coloured with Di's. I also added some ink around the image. I also embossed the butterfly panel and added some ink to that too. I added some stitching aswell since I had extra time and a couple of punched putterflies which I inked aswell....now the flower I hear you ask...yes I did...I cut each of those petals out by hand, the circle in the centre...I used the lid of my tub of face cream as a template...knew it had more use than trying to take the wrinkles out my face!! I went to town on the ink and inked up the petals too....I think it looks really summery!!

Thought I would add a closer up shot of this little cutie!! Hope you like and I have entered the challenges below.

This is such a fab sketch that we had to keep going...there's no stopping us!! The stamp is of course from Sugar Nellie - Festive Friends which I have coloured with copics, the papers are so scrummy, they are from Fancy Pants - hot chocolate collection, I added my usual wonky stitching and I distressed the layers of the card...thought that would help to take your eye away from the wonky stitching however it doesn't and the punches are Martha Stewart Arctic snowflake and Himalayan snowflakes....hope you like...oh and I added some glitter to the furry bits!! I am now off for some some in the garden.

The stamp is of course City Girl from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie which I have coloured with cpoics. The papers are from Kaisercraft - Pink Gelato which are really soft and subtle. peek- a - boo....

Thought I would post this quick card while I am waiting on Michael phoning to say what's happening...i could be up a while. He is heading home early from T in the park as the gigantic wig wam him and his friends took has been wrecked and their sleeping bags are soaked...they are not happy bunnys!! Now as most of you know T in the Park is not really near anywhere and no train station and the nearest one being in Perth and the first train is at 5am to Edinburgh...oh the worries, no wonder I have grey hair!!

So when I say a quick card, I started colouring last night but put it all together tonight!!

The stamp is new from Sugar Nellie and is called Peek a Boo...isn't she purty?? I have coloured her with DI's. The papers used is from Kaisercraft - Utopia and First Edition - Up, Up & Away which I have stitched around. I punched 3 circle out and cut a spiral and rolled them into flowers...I did have a die but it seems to have gone AWOL. I added little pearls to the centres and layered them onto a section of a flourish die cut. I added the message and a little glitter to the pressie and balloons...hope you likey!!

Fashionista....

Well this is a quick card I made last night...well when I say quick I have been doodling away at the image for a couple of days but the papers are new so I felt I really had to make use of them.

The papers are Pink Gelato - Kaisercraft, they are actually much prettier IRL. The image is of course Fashionista from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with DI's...still loving the inks but need to buy more which are now on order as we speak!! The flowers have been cut using my MFT flower trio die and the message is from Stampin Up - Crazy for Cupcakes set.

I did start colouring this image for a Lemon & Lime challenge however that changed when I saw the new papers...

5th Avenue..

Howdy my fellow stampers...first of all I would like to thanks everybody for their birthday wishes and cards...you are all so very thoughtful!! So I bought myself some sassy's for my birthday just incase I didn't get any crafty goodies. This is 5th Avenue from the simply Sassy range from Sugar Nellie. I have coloured the image with copics and glitzed her up with glitter, I also added glossy accents to her bag and shoes to make them shiny and look patent...not sure if you can see that in the photo. The papers are from Fancy Pants - happy together collection and my new rolled daisy flower die-namics die from My Favourite Things...bit of practioce needed with this one just to get those petals not quite so much on top of one another...oh and made a boob with the message so I had to add some doodly bits.
