Sugar Bowl Challenge #84

Good morning sugar fans and my scheduled post....I am still trying to get used to my new Monday to Friday shift. Being off at the weekend is good though as my friend and I had a wee unexpected visit to the House of Sugar last Saturday which was really fab. The scenery on the way up and down was simply breath taking and if I can work out how to get the photos from my phone to the PC then I will let you see the snow covered mountains. We met Karen and her daughters and Erika and Kate, they were all so lovely. Karen even gave us the guided tour of the shop and where Mark , our Funky Kit man does his online orders...I would so love to work there. Now if any of you are in the area and feel the need to pop in to the House of Sugar...omg you will be spoilt for choice, Karen has such a variety of products on sale....

Today's challenge over at The Sugar Bowl is "anything goes" so you can use whichever layout and theme you like but you need to use a Sugar Nellie stamp.

As always the prize for one lucky winner picked at random is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps from Funky Kits....

....but if over 100 entries then the prize increases to 6 stamps.

For my card I have used Butterfly Girl from sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics, the papers from MME - On the Sunny Side, the flowers have been cut with different rolled MFT dies, I also cut a little dinky flouish out too and added a couple of pins behind. I added some ribbon and a charm to finish off...

Pop back tomorrow to check out my birthday candy!!

Good morning fellow bloggers...today is my final card as a guest over at Cupcake Craft Challenges!! Thank you ladies for having me, it was a pleasure...

So this weeks challenge is "Best of British" and you can take your inspiration from the photo below..

I cut the bunting using my MFT banners die and attached them to some heavy button twine and the flower has also been cut from a MFT flower trio die. The stamp is from the slapstick range at Penny Black called London and I just added some minimal colouring using copics.....finished with some doodling around the edges...hope you like.

Paper Sundaes DT card

Welcome all my Sundae bloggers and another weekend scheduled post...Before I tell you about today's challenge over at Paper sundaes is I must share my traumatic event that happened at work yesterday.

Please don't laugh..I had a little mishap...as you know we have moved to big new, shiny, freezing cold office. I am gradually loosing weight as it's a half mile trek to the printer, photocopier, loos, coffees etc...well some bright spark decided to keep all the cabinet keys in our new store room which is even further away. So away I went...swiped my pass to get into the store room and walked in, the door closed behind me and I stepped further into the room but the lights were not coming on, now in all other areas the lights are automatic and no switch is needed. No lights...no windows.. so I started working my way to a wall, I was feeling around the wall for the switch but couldn't find it (pitch black) so I thought need to open the door to let the light in to find the switch...oh no...the door is locked...now I am freaking out and I could feel myself begin to panic. I am now frantically groping and hyper ventilating trying to find the switch then I felt a knob..I was pushing that knob and I didn't care what alarm it set off but hey presto it released the door....phew what a relief!! I came back through to the office and Laura asked me what was wrong...of course she laughed but I needed a sit down and some chocolate after that. I was shaking for ages...

Anyway now on to the serious stuff...the challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is "pop it up". At first I was a bit scared as I was thinking jack in the boxes but all we need to see is something that pops out on your card.

Our sponsor this week is Michelle's Scrapbooking and more who are offering one lucky winner...

I have popped up the tree on my card...I stamped it three times and layered each piece, the image is from Whiff of Joy and has been coloured with copics. The papers are from Scenic Route but I can't remember which ones...oops!! I added a bit of raffia ribbon and a couple of punched snowflakes....and finished with glitter and gems. You can buy Whiff of Joy stamps and copics at Michelles Scrapbooking...check them out!!

Howdy...

Howdy folks...sorry if I haven't left any comments in the past 24 hours or so...my charming daughter threw a cup of coffe all over the keyboard...by accident of course, just back from the shops and we are cooking with gas!! Another thing...it's been snowing here today...again but hopefully it won't come to much. I rattled up this little quickie card last night. The stamp is from Image Tree - Barnyard buddies which I coloured with promarkers. I also chalked the background to make it look like clouds but I don't think I done it heavy enough as you can bearly see them, I also added a fewe birds. The papers are from Making Memories which I have had in my stash for ages..I think they are from the kids collection - Kate. I have entered the following challenges.

Holly will not be happy when she comes home from school as she will be soaked...wouldn't take a brolly with her..probably too windy anyway!! Eventually her new straighteners came yesterday so it was the first time for about 2 weeks that she hasn't been moaning about how horrible her hair is and she seemed to forget about her sore foot!! She hurt her foot yesterday morning and she thinks she has broken it...she hasn't cos she can still walk and was able to go out after school with her friends...she is some drama queen I tell you!! Anyway onto my card...I have actually made a few today...trying to get ahead cos it's nearly crimbo time and I will have to hit the shops although I do most of my shopping online...oh yes back to the card...mmm not sure about it. Oh Honey...

Well a wee quickie this afternoon as I am getting organised so that I have nothing to do when(housework) when I come home from the SECC tomorrow...except for to play with my goodies...1 sleep...woo hoo!! I wanted to try mt sewing machine agian but still have my L plates on for that....Now this card just kind of fell together, the papers are from 2 different collections as I was rumaging through my papers trying to decide which ones to use, these 2 happened to land next to each other and i thought hey presto they are perfect..well I think so! The spotty one is from October Afternoon - Bake the Cookies and the blue one is from Scenic route - Roxbury collection, both are Christmas collections. This is Honey the skier from CC Designs which I have coloured with copics, layered her onto a die cut circle which I scalloped with the Stampin Up slit punch and the blue circle at the back of Honey has been embossed with snowflakes. I added white glitter to Honey's hat, jacket and boots and then finished with gems. I needed to fix her skiis as they broke when I was cutting her out...so a repair job!! I also distressed the edge of the brown card.
