Happy birthday

Hi folks..just a quickie....got a delivery today...a few goodies to play with including these papers from Bo Bunny. I stamped Anya and coloured her with copics and layered her onto the card. I thought these papers were a bit different from the norm I buy...so a wee change. I quickly had to nick Michael's camera again to take the photo but it's back in it's place with the photo deleted...he'll never know!! Will nee to interrogate Holly about mine when she comes home from school....and they are now on holiday for 7 weeks....oh nnnnooooo!! Just as well I'm working and her granny will have joys of an almost teenager first thing in the morning...not a pleasant experience!!

Hang in there!!

Well it's another lovely day so I've been out in the garden but I did have time to squeeze this card in too...all was going well until I went to take the picture. Now I remember Holly asking me if she could use my camera to which I said no cos she can take photos on her phone but low and behold my camera ain't working..something to do with the formatting so she has had her hands on it when I have been at work...so I had to nick Michaels camera to take this picture and then delete all evidence of me using it and being in his room and touching his stuff!! The image is from High hopes and coloured with copics, and the papers are Kaisercraft which I thought went well with the image. So I have entered this in the following challenges:

WISHES FOR BELLA - WEEK 2

Bella came down with a near fatal illness on Easter Sunday 2010. She fought hard for 5 days and the near fatal infection caused extensive tissue damage, she had to undergo quadruple amputation surgery..................changing Bella forever.

When you have kids of your own then you can really understand how much heartache Bella and her family are going through.

Seconly,send some love to her by sending her a card. A nice homemade card along the lines of 'thinking of you'. Your card does not have to be a new one, but you should be able to send it!

Just for the Boys!!

Eventually I finished this card...this is the 3rd attempt..first one was too big for the card, the second one was a bit naff...Helen at work asked me to make her a card to give to her boyfriend...mwah mwah ...ooh they're so sweet!! I have made this quite plain all grey, blacks and white which was the requirements Helen gave so it fits a few challenges. I coloured the image with copics and added some white coarse glitter to give the beer a frothy look and layered it onto grey card and patterned paper which I had in my stash...finished with some stars which I cut with the sizzix...oops nearly forgot...

Little Panda...

Thought I would post this quickie card I made this afternoon...sometimes less is more as they say. Not much to say about this....I downloaded the image from Tiddly Inks and coloured the bow and the bug with copics, stamped the baby message and added some ribbon...

Who wants these.....

A Quick reminder...I will picking someone tomorrow so that I can get them in the post before I am back at work at the weekend...so add a comment if you want to be considered.


Well who wants them....my hubby picked these to put in with my birthday pressie last month but they are not for me...I like the nesties but these are too big....I have used one which has a touch of copic ink when I was trying out the spray gun with them. The set is like new but these aren't the size I need. Hubby went to a craft shop and said he wanted to buy something for me...he told the woman that I like to cut out and this is what she recommended....but don't tell him as I will get the set I want and he'll think it's the same ones...hee hee!!

I received this decoupage kit from Ger at Cullen Crafts the other day and I have never tried proper decoupage although I do like to cut out elements from stamped images and 3d them so I as esperate to try these out cos they are gorjuss. I hope this is ok to enter at The sugar bowl although it's not a sugar Nellie stamp it's from the gorjuss girl collection....it's ok if it doesn't qualify I still wanted to show it anyway. The backing papers are also from the gorjuss collection...it's all gorjuss exept for the scallop ribbon and to finish off I aed some faux stitching/doodling around the edge.

Pearl

Hello all...I haven't had much time to blog this week as I needed work extra this week as I couldn't get my mail merge to work and the letters needed to go out yesterday...nightmare!! Anyway on to to hopefully the first of today's cards...new papers...woo hoo from Imaginsce which I thought matched perfectly with Pearl. I coloured her with copics and layered her onto an embossed swirl patterned card, I added glitter to make look like Pearl was swimming through the swirling seaweed, also added pearls and of course paper flowers which were cut with the sizzix 3d flower die...love it....I am sending this card to a special little girl...you can read my post on Tuesday all about her and I hope you will join in.

It's a Wedding....

This is a quick post before bed...I made this card for one of my friends at work who is heading off to the USA tomorrow to her nephew's wedding and she wanted something scottish on it. I had the little thistles and heather in my stash, bought some new Pride of Scotland ribbon...couldn't get any Scottish rugby tartan ribbon which I did manage to get before and it goes well with the thistles but I think this one is good too. I embossed the front panels on the card and layered the panel with the thistles on top...the inside was personalised with the names and the date...hope you like...

Happy Birthday

Well this wasn't quite the card I had in mind but my new order of papers has not came yet and I expected it to be here on Tuesday so looks like it's gone AWOL but wanted to enter a couple of challenges that end tomorrow so here goes. The papers I had in my stash..they may be Crate Papers, the image is from the Greeting farm which has been coloured with copics an I added some doodled lines around the edges and that's it....pretty plain.

Ahoy

Weel I couldn't make up my mind whether to sit outside in the sunshine or to do some cards....well I have done a bit of both...outside for a wee while and then inside to do a bit to this. The papers I have had in my stash for ages and the image I downloaded from Pollycraft and coloured with copics. I stamped the image and then distressed all around the edges with brown ink to give it an old look and then added some highlights which I wish I hadn't now cos I think it looked better before. Wild thing...

Well this is just a wee quickie tonight...my hubby informed me giraffes are not black which I know..doh!! I had to make them black to match the card...so it's night time!! I also didn't have a tiger or cheetah stamp so that's why there's a giraffe!! All of the paper and card I had in my stash and the stamp I have had for a long time which I inked up with black ink...I did try to fit it into one of the new nesties I have...not used either cos they are too big!! I also embossed a piece of card in one of the animal print embossing folders.I have entered this in the following challenges: oh and no flowers or glitter on this one...can you believe that??

Hello You

Phew...eventually finished....I have been working on this most of the day and now that it's later in the day not sure if the colour is ok on the camera...might need to do some more pictures but I have taken a few of this one. Well I had started making this card this morning but I couldn't quite decide which image to use as I wanted to enter it in a few challenges...I hope I have met the requirements on each of them....well anyway as I was saying...couldn't decide what image, then the postie came and I found a little package for me...I thought I haven't ordered anything else...yet so what could it be....my good friend Lyndsey sent me this Mo Manning stamp for my birthday...thanks so much Linds..mwah...isn't she kind?? Check her new vamped blog out here. I have used Crate Papers - Paper doll collection..which I love and you can get them at Quixotic Paperie, I punched the oval for the message to layer onto...oh and my fav...I punched/cut the flowers from my new sizzix 3 flowers die which I bought from Sir Stampalot...all you do is roll them to the required size and fix them with glue...oh I so love them.....I coloured the image with my copics and layered it onto a scalloped circle which I made with the Stampin Up slit punch as I don't have a big scallop circle punch...but that's fine cos I have got the knack of using the slit punch to do scallops...

Now onto the inside....I also used the same Crate Paper and punched out 4 giant scallops and layered them...I added another message so that the card will prop up. I followed the sketch over at Totally Gorjuss but I didn't know how to adapt it for the inside so the sketch is for the front...did my own thing inside...hope that's ok.


Thought I would add another view..please do no look at the mess in the background....I cannot believe how much of a mess this card has caused!!

Strawberries and Cream

well it's absolutely freezing here..I have put my heating back on for a wee while...in the meantime I made this card primarily for the Allsorts challenge but managed to fit it to a few others. The backing papers are from October afternoon which I thought were perfect for this challenge as there is strawberries scattered on it and the background is cream so hey! and I coloured the image with my copics and then finished off with some buttons and ribbon.

Well...I have made this card for a few challenges today. The backing papers are Crate Papers - Brook Collection, the sweet pea has been stamped and coloured with copics. I thought I would cut part of her as I quite like doing that......I just love these stamps! I added a couple of flowers and some ribbon...Faye you will like that ribbon...very soft and fluffy.

Happy Birthday to You

Well I am on holiday all week so I WILL be having a holiday and WILL be making lots of cards...the housework will be minimal!! I got this new stamp last week and this is the first chance I have had to use it...it's just so sweet. The papers are MME whih I have had for a wee while in my stash but I thought they were perfect for this card. The birthday message is from Stampin Up - Crazy for cupcakes set....the black circle is a bit off but never mind....at a quick glance you'll never notice.

Just gorjuss!!

What a great weekend...yesterday it was Procession day here in Bathgate...lots of decorated floats, bands, flower girls, rainbow girls etc. Holly's friend was the Flower Queen...she was beautiful!! It was so hot I got burnt and I don't normally burn, Holly was ok as she was covered up cos she's so fair!! Today was skyfest...family fun day and the heaven's opened and the rain couldn't have came down any heavier but it didn't spoil the fun....lots of events were under cover...but the highlight for Holly was to see Stacey Solomon singing...what a treat!! I have my second wind now and a wide awake so I thought I would make this card...might have to retake the photo in daylight. The backing papers are crate Papers and the Gorjuss girl has been paper pieced which I have to say I am enjoying doing..this is the third time and it is very therapeutic, I masked off her fae and sprayed the hair with copics...thought I would try shading her hair differently and then coloured her face, I added sequin flowers to the stamped image aswell to give additional sparkle, punched the message an the flowers and also added black an white ribbon and glitter.

When I saw this stamp I had to have it...it just reminded me of my brother when he was a little boy..playing on his tarzan swing!! It's quite plain but I tried to make it look like a real rope swing....and I think I might give this card to my brother's little boy cos it looks a bit like him too!! make a wish

I am having withdrawal symptoms so I needed to make this card for the challenges below. I saw the tutorial on youtube of how you make it...not sure what it's called. I had the papers and ribbon in my stash and the lovely Mandy sent me some Magnolia images.....this is the front.


This is the inside...well the first part....when the card is folded slits are made, then you feed through the white card and stamp your message on the white area....then...


Another inside is revealed and you can stamp further messages...I was well impressed when I saw this on youtube and I had to try it asap....it's like magic!!

Birthday candy winner

Well I thought I would stay up to do this tonight so when all you crafters get up in the morning there's a wee surprise for somebody.

Happy Father's Day

What a gorgeous day...well I have had a busy week and not much of a chance to blog and probably won't until Sunday. Got the finishing touches to my root treatment today..woo hoo and Saturday it's the Procession Day...(it's a big event here in Bathgate) and on Sunday I've got Skyfest...family fun day all paid for by work...so here's my creation today.
