Happy Birthday

I have been desperate to colour in this image I downloaded from My Grafico...I think she's cute!! I coloured her with my copics and of course added a touch of glitter, layered her onto the papers which are Crate Papers, added a message and I made the flower by cutting out 6 flower shapes then I dampened them an squished each of them up into little balls, I then opened them back up and pierced a hole in the middle and attached a brad to hold them all together, then I squished in the top flower so that it looked like a bud an then just folded each of them in..it gives it a bit of a shabby look....the flower took me longer than the card!!

A Spoonfull of sugar

I made this card for my brother in law's birthday. The papers are from KI Memories, I also used the sizzix 3D pop up birthday cake XL die for the inside...big surprise when he opens it!! I have entered this card in a Spoonfull of sugar this week.

Totally gorjuss

I made quickie this morning..I had the papers and gorjuss girl already prepared...I just wasn't sure what to do with them as this is not normal colours for me. The papers are MME and the gorjuss girl has been coloure with copics...the little birdie has bled a little, I added some glitter to finish off. I have entered it in the following challenges:

Birthday

Well hello all....I haven't posted anything for a few days as I have been in lots of dental pain..went to the dentist today and I had an infection in the roots of one of my teeth..don't know if that's the same as an abcess...got it drained, cleaned and dressed and have a course of antibiotics to take before the root treatment starts...but I am pain free...woo hoo!!
I didn't have any challenges in mind when I made this card for my SIL..she likes plain but it fits in to the Fab 'n' funky challenge this week. I stamped onto a piece of card and then I also stamped onto a piece of vellum to that the dresses had a floaty look to them, then I layered the image and finished it with some beads...just a tiny bit of green pen used on the leaves.

Birthday

My order from Funky Kits came today...woo hoo. I have been busy but I needed to use at least one of my new stamps and this is what I made. I needed to make a card for Carly...my friend's daughter as her birhday is on Monday. The stamp is one of the new ones at Funky Kits and coloured with copics an then I added some glitter, the backing papers are from Bo Bunny...to finish off I added a couple of little flowers which I am liking at the moment...the new sizzix die from Tim Holtz....I have entered this in the challenges below but before you see which challenges I thought I would have a bit fun this weekend....Debs did his a couple of weeks ago and she sent me a beautiful LOTV stamp which I haven't use yet but I will be soon cos I have plans for it...so as I am working this weekend I needed some fun...and if I get the linky thing to work but if it doesn't work just leave a comment on this post and on Sunday night when I come home from work I will pick somebody at random who can choose one stamp from the Funky Kits website as I will be placing another order on Tuesday...so the lucky winner can let me know which stamp they would like and I will order it along with mine and then post it to them...how does that sound??

Charity Challenge In Memory Of Emma's Dad..

Emma's Dad died last September following an accident at work...in his memory her family are raising funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity. Paula from Pollycraft has drawn a special edition digi in memory of Emma's dad...here he is ..."Ronnie Relaxing".

Ahoy mateys!!

Well this is my last week as Guest Designer for Stampin' for the Weekend. I have loved being involved in the last 2 challenges...so thanks Kimmi for asking me...it was a pleasure. On to the theme this week - "Getting to know You" - which is to be based on your favourite book...I have based my easel card on Treasure Island....The backing papers and stickers I have had in my stash for ages but I have never use them cos they are so nice and I didn't want to cut them up..well now I have...the treasure map stamp is from whipper Snapper, the pirate, anchor and message were downloaded from Pollyraft..coloured with copics, the transparent stickers on the front were mounted onto card and cut out and stuck on with sticky fixers to give a 3D effect and then I added some Suze Weinberg's beadazzles to make it look like some spilt treasure.

A few Challenges

I couldn't make up my mind what to do today...I think I'm still tired from my long shift at work and the fact I was looking at complicated sick pay spreadsheets for 4 days...exciting stuff!! Anyway in the long run I decided to make this card while I'm waiting on my new stamps to come..and my Stampin Up stuff..woo hoo. The backing papers are Crate Papers which I am loving at the minute..need to buy more...the stamp is from PSX which was one of the very first stamps I bought to make my dad a card with cos he likes gardening...and it's a lovely image to colour and I coloured this one with Holly's Promarkers...she's at school so she won't know (hee hee), I added a Prima flower and a little message to finish off....believe it or not there is no glitter on this card!!. Need to do some housework today but before I get started I thought I would make a quick card..well it's actually taken me ages!! the backing papers are various scraps I had but the dark card is Diamond dust card which was one of the very first papers/card I ever bought but I haven't used it...you can't really see the efffect but is a bluey purple and it looks like it has diamonds though it. The image I downloaded from The Greeting Farm and coloured with my copics...I tried to give her dress a kind of tyed dye look. I added some gems and some stars to make it a bit more fantasy like.

Sweet Pixie

What another lovely day...hopefully the lava cloud won't come down and bother those asthma sufferers...Michael's only out of hospital a couple of weeks ago after a bad asthma attack so the last thing he needs is another. On to todays card.... I have used Crate Paper and the lovely Leisel....I downloaded the fence as a freebie from Pollycraft. I have distressed the paper at the edges, I also embossed it and then sanded it down...very messy. I also distressed the scallop circle after cutting it...I don't have a die this shape so I just use the SU slit punch and go round the cirlce making the scallop shape. I have coloured the sweet little pixie with my copics added some glitter and a couple of flowers with button centres. I left this card without a message so it could be used for all sorts of occasions.

Happy Birthday

The sun is trying to come out so before it does I thought I woudl make a quick card...not sure about it though. The theme for Die dut Dreams was Vintage or no colouring..not sure about Vintage but it hasn't been coloured, so if it doesn't meet the challenge then it's ok I thought I would post it anyway. I also tried to add the pleated ribbon which took me ages as this is something I've never tried before but I've seeen it on lots of cards an is really effective....this was very challenging!! What a beautiful Sunday morning...got my washing out so time for a card!! The backing papers are Crate Papers, Heidi has been coloure with my copics, I embossed a piece of the DP and then sanded the top layer to give it a distressed look and I added some grass which was a strip from Doodlebug and I coloured it to match the papers. This card is for a few challenges today.

Well I didn't get planned what I thought I would today as I decide to clean out Spike's cage and give him a bath...it takes ages to do it properly and Michael wanted to go away with his pals so as usual mother gets left with the good jobs but more cards tomorrow as I am holiday from work..woohoo!!

Oh and here's a wee picture of Spike...he's a wee cutie and a poser...he likes getting his photo taken!! LOL!!

I thought I would try something a bit different for this challenge...I made a card similar to this one a while back and I liked it but I have jazzed this one up a bit. I used Bazzill card and cut it into strips, added some rub on stitching, cut out some tags and added the thank you rub ons and finished off with ribbon and buttons. Just noticed the spelling mistakes - my keyboard keeps jammimg..now fixed!! What a lovely spring day to make a spring card. The backing papers are scraps I had left over and I'm not sure which make - possibly MME, the other paper is from Sandylion, the flowers I cut from the same scraps, the message was also in my stash along with the ribbon but I downloaded both images from All That Scraps and coloured with copics. Well when Kimmi asked me to be Guest Designer for the month of April for Stampin' for the weekend…I was so excited.
