Father's Day or Special Man/Boy

Well better late than never with my card for this weeks challenge over at Sweet Stampin!!

The challenge this week is "Father's Day or Special Man or Boy"....so really quite open for your interpretation...

I have made this card for my wee nephew to give to his daddy(my brother) on Father's Day. I have used papers from MME - Hattie which I layered onto bazzill card and I then doodled around the edges.  The stamp is Worried from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with....wait for it my new spectrum noirs.....which I am enjoying but still getting used to, and then I did some shading with polychromos cos I don't have the spectrum noir pencils yet...lol!!  I added a wee stamped message and a couple of buttons...hope you likey!!

The Sugar Bowl - challenge 116

Good morning sugar fans!  

Well it's that time again, can you believe how the time is flhying by??  Yes a brand new challenge over at The Sugar Bowl......the theme this month is "Anything Goes".

Unfortunately this is the last challenge for a while until Karen makes some changes on the blog....so watch this space!!

This time the prize for one lucky winner is a sugar bundle of your choice with embellishments and papers from  FunkyKits...

For my card it's the plain and simple look...the stamp is called Lil Sweet Pea which of course from Sugar Nellie and coloured with Promarkers for a wee change.  The papers are MME - Hattie which I layered onto kraft card.  I added a piece of lace to one of the layers, the flower has been cut using the layered rose from die-namics which I fixed with a pearl brad, I also added a ribbon bow and some pearls.

Winking Student

Here sugar fans...my scheduled Wednesday post!!

Now this is Winking Student from the Simply Sassy range at Sugar Nellie and is a fabby wee stamp as we are coming to the end of school term so is perfect for the teacher, there's also some other student stamps you can find over at Funky Kits.

I have gone kind of CAS as again I wanted to focus on the colouring!!  I have used polychromos and blending solution to colour onto kraft card and I have to say I thought this was really therapeutic!!  Has anyone else tried using blending solution...if not you need to try it!!

I have used papers I had in my stash and layered them onto kraft card and added some starts made with one of the dies from one of the blueprints die sets.

For Karen...

Happy Saturday everybody!!

I can now share my card that I made for my friend who was 50 years young yesterday.

I thought this stamp from LOTV was perfect for her as she constantly reminds us of how we are all fabulous at 50...so I tried to give her that message in the card. The papers are Prima Lifetime collection which are actually really gorgeous IRL.

I layered the papers onto kraft card, glittered them up and added a wee ribbon, charm and some gems....oh a button....and no doodles!!

Foxy lady...

Good morning folks and a wee card from me this morning!!

Today I am sharing my card for Buttons for Brains and The Sugar Nellie blog.

It wasn't actually my turn over at Sugar Nellie but I had used a SN stamp for my BfB card so thought I would just share it there too.

Now this is Foxy from the Gorjuss collection at Sugar Nellie however is out of stock at the mo....but I'm sure this will still give you some inspiration into using some of the other fab stamps over at Funky Kits.

I coloured this little cutie with copics and shaded with polychromos. I have used papers from Basic Grey Mon Ami collection which I layered onto bazzill card and doodled around!! The flower has been made using my die-namics blueprints dies...love it!!  I added some wee teeny pearls to finish off.

A Little bit sunshine...

Good morning sugar fans and my scheduled post.

I thought since the weather seems to have changed for the better that I wanted to share a bit of sunshine while it lasts....hopefully when you read this the sun will be shining!!

Now this is Bella Bunting and is a fabby wee stamp and is available in rubber from Funky Kits here!!

I have gone for the CAS look for this card and I do really love that type of card especially on a white background as the image really pops...making the main focus the image!

I have embossed the background with white clouds and layered onto yellow bazill card, the die cuts are all various die-namics dies...love them....and added some teeny pearls to finish.

Birthday candy

A quickie from me tonight...forgot I hadn't posted this yet!!

So this month I have a wee birthday so thought I would give you some birthday candy....I haven't posted any candy for a while either!!

Now I might have one candy or I might divide it into 2 candies....but it's a surprise what you get...we all love surprises don't we??  All I will say is there's stamps, ribbons, papers etc!!

Something a bit different...

Good morning bloggers...and my scheduled post...yes you guessed it at work again however not long til the weekend and I have Monday and Tuesday off as I might have a wee celebration in there aswell.  

I'm meeting friends on Saturday night for a drink or two or maybe three, not many more than that...I might even have a couple of glasses of prosecco in the afternoon.  Then on Sunday it's family day...out for more drinks and dinner...yummmmmm!!  Just aswell I'm off work on Monday and Tuesday to recover...phew....then it starts all over again next weekend as it's one of my friends turn to be 21....so more celebrating...yay!!  I don't get out much really and it's happening all at once!!

So back to the card...this is my DT card for Buttons for Brains.  I thought I would just use papers and dies just to show that you don't always need to colour an image to a get a great card....I am actually quite chuffed with this one as it is not something I would normally make....and flower arranging too...these flowers just happened to fit exactly as I wanted them to.

The papers are Basic Grey Moni Ami, I cut the little pennants and flags from my die-namics die.  I had the lace and ric rac in my stash and then the flowers have been cut with the layered rose die-namics die and the ryal rolled roses...the 2 smallest sizes, the the leaf is from Magnolia.  The tiny message is from the Prima Free Spirit set, then I finished with some teeny pearls and gems dotted around....oh and layered onto kraft card.

Bluebell

Good morning Sugar fans!!

Now this stamp is called Leanne Ellis's Bluebell from Sugar Nellie which is available at Funky Kits in either rubber or digi here!

The Papers are from MME Cambridge Court which are really colourful...don't you think?? I layered the papers onto bazzill card and added some doodles of course. there's also a piece of aqua lace been added to one of the layers just to give a bit more texture along with a dotty ribbon and bow....the flower and leafy swirl has been cut using my die-namics....I also added some pearls made with my pearl pen....love my pearl pen!

A quickie before bed...

Hi folks...just a wee quickie before I go to bed!!  This has to be one of my favourite little fairies from LOTV which I have coloured with copics and then shaded with polychromos, I actually used graph it markers for the skin.  The papers are MME....which are really pretty IRL!!  I have layered them onto bazzill card. The flowers have been cut with various die-namics rolled roses.  I added some lace and ribbon....oh and yes I added those teeny weeny pearls to the corners....hope you likey!!

Rock On...

Howdy Saturday bloggers....I having been playing today making some cards, a few are finished but I can't share just now but thought I would share this one with you.

It's been a while since I made a cool dude kind of card so here we have it.  The image is from All Dressed Up which I coloured with copics.  The papers have been in my stash forever but I think they are Imaginisce.  I layered them on to bazzill card and duffed up the edges to give them the distressed look,  I tied a piece of black twine around and attached a little guitar charm...the 3 tiles have been cut with the same papers.

Something different and some news...

Good morning folks and a wee card from me this morning!!

Did you notice my sidebar??  Well if you didn't I have some news to share...Liz over at Buttons for Brains asked me to be on her DT to promote her new online shop...isn't that fab??

I am actually quite chuffed with this card as it's something a wee bit different but was so easy.  I have used papers from Basic Grey - Mon Ami collection and layered that onto bazzill card and guess what theres doodles on those edges aswell.  I added a piece of twine which matches the paper really well.  I made the sentitment with some alpha stickers and that fab flower has been cut using my die-namics blueprints...love them!!

Goosey Gander

Good morning Sugar fans....it's Wednesday and time for my scheduled post.

Now this stamp is called Goosey Gander from Sugar Nellie which is available here.  Now you always associate geese with Christmas but I think this stamp can be used anytime all year round...do you agree??

The papers are from Fancy Pants - Park Bench which I have to say are one of my favourites...I do love those colours!!  I layered the papers onto bazzill card and distressed the edges and doodled the edges...  I coloured the stamp with copics and then shaded with polychromos. The flower, flower centre and button has been cut with one of my die-namics blue prints....these are just fab...you must check them out!!  I then added some teeny pearls to finish.

A little bit of cake....

Hi folks...a bit late with my post today but better late then never!!

I have been busy making some jewellery, once I'm done I will share on my blog...I am sooooo chuffed with how it has turned out so far!!

Today's challenge over at Sweet Stampin' is Fairies or Fantasy....we know you love your fairies...there's so many pretty ones out there!!  Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Crafty Devils, who are giving one lucky winner a £15 voucher for their store...how fab is that??

So for my card I followed the sketch over on the Ideas to Inspire blog and then I have used Echo Park Bundle of Joy papers, which have been layered onto bazzill card, I distressed around the edges of each of the layers, the stamp is Cake Glorious Cake from LOTV which I have coloured with copics and graph it markers and then did my usual shading with polychromos. I added some stickles to the wings and the cake....love a bit sparkle.  I also added a piece of lace and a ribbon bow, the pearls were made using my pearl pen....oops and doodles!!
