Congratulations...

  Morning folks...

This is a scheduled post, hopefully it posts...I'm away on holiday up north again.  Fingers crossed the weather will be better this time and I manage to get my boat trip...one of these days I will see an orca.  Last week I was on my wee puffin trip and got some fabulous photos...well I think they are..here's a couple of my favourites;

Aren't they just the cutest!!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme is "anything but a birthday".

So I had a card to make for my daughters sister in law, it's her baby shower next week...hope this is ok as I couldn't find a baby shower sentiment.
The stamp is from Stamping Bella, I coloured with copics, stamped up the words and cut and layered them, and finished with some sequins.

Hope you like it.

Breathe in deeply...

  Morning folks...
It's been a bit of a busy few weeks for me, we were up north on holiday, then it was Holly's hen weekend in Prague...yep I was the only old one and never again, it was just too much.  It's taken a full week for my bones to get back to a bit of normality.  Only 4 weeks until my next wee holiday.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme is "flowers".

I do love this stamp set so I thought I would use it for this weeks challenge.  I stamped the image with archival ink and then coloured with my zig watercolor pens.  I added a few splodges, dots and sequins.

Merry Christmas...

 Morning folks...
I can't believe how fast this year is going in so far...and almost time for my first wee break up north this year.  I cannot wait, it's seems like forever since we have been on holiday, anyway not long to go. I am hoping to catch some good photos of the local Moray wildlife...it's just amazing but before that it's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme is "Christmas in April".

I've actually had this stamp for a couple of years I think and yep..never been used so thought it would be perfect for this challenge.

I inked up with archival ink and coloured with derwent pencils, added the sentiment and a couple of enamel dots...kept it simple!

Hope you like it.

Party like a Puffin...

Hey folks, I thought I would share this wee card I made today, I really haven't spent much time lately on my cards and really need to get back into it...anyway I did spend ages colouring this one.

I stamped the image using archival ink and coloured with derwent inktense pencils, I did do quite a few layers to make the image stand out.  Those sand eels were a challenge as I didn't have the right shade of grey or silver so I coloured with the grey I had and once dry went over with white which lightened them a bit, I then did a mix of blue and violet...not that you can really see.

I added some splashes, dots and gems to finish.

Hope you like it.

I added some splashes, and a couple of little pearls and dots to finish.

Hope you like it.

Love and good cheer...

Happy New Year everybody!

Well what a great start to the year....lost all track of what day it is and late with my card.

It's time for the first challenge of the year over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme is "Something new" that can be new Year, new baby, new home, new stash etc....and remember to use some stamping too.

So I have gone for the new stash.  I bought this stamp in December with the intention of using it but time ran out so what better time than to start to new year with my first 2026 Christmas card.

First I stamped the image, then masked it off and stencilled the snowflakes in the background...I used a light grey and a pale blue to give a frosty look.  I then coloured the image with my zig pens, love them I got some inspiration for the colouring from the lovely Sue although my stripey tights are not as neat as hers! I stamped the sentiment from the same set and then added some sequins.  I did some doodling around the edges too.

Hope you like it.

With love at Christmas...

Howdy folks...

There's a new month long challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme is "Christmas".

I have to say I am mega late with my Christmas makes as I have just been that busy with work but in the New Year I aim to be back on it.  I loved creating this little card.  I had seen a card the lovely Sue has made using this stamp which gave me some inspiration, so I bought it and here's my effort.

I used my zig watercolor pens to colour this one, I haven't used them for a while...and I do really love watercolouring the most I think.  I added some sequins and some white splodges to resemble snow (I couldn't find my snow stencil).

Hope you like it.

Happy birthday...

Morning folks...

Well, the winter has arrived, it's baltic!!!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is "birthday".  Sweet Stampin is celebrating their birthday so why not join us in the fun.

This was the birthday card I made for my hubby's big day.  I actually bought this stamp set a while back but as usual never got the chance to use it, so here it is although I only stamped the birthday sentitment, I embossed the scene and then added the clouds and touch them up with some white ink, I also added some blue ink to the sea.

Hope you like it.

Morning folks...

It's been another busy time for me at work and also had a wee break up north...yet again no orcas, so maybe next time!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is "Halloween or the colours of Halloween".
Now I do love Halloween but I really don't have many stamps and then I remembered I had Frankie so here he is.  Stamped him up and coloured him green of course and layered him onto some purple stencilled clouds....I need to practice clouds.  I added a few sequins to finish.

Hope you like it.

Happy Birthday...

Morning folks...

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is "feature a sentiment".

I was at a bit of a loss what to make but I wanted to make the sentiment the main focus.  So I stencilled the background, stamped the sentiment onto a stencilled panel and layered onto the card.  I die cut a wee candle and added that to the card too...it's kind of plain and simple.

Hope you like it.

Time to unwind...

Morning folks...

I have been a bit AWOL with my cards lately as the crocheting has kind of taken over, after the holidays I am hoping to get back to an even split as I am missing making my cards, but I am also loving the crocheting...can't stop buying wool...oops!  So off on my holiday up north tomorrow and I am hoping to capture some great wildlife photos...top of the list is an orca but that is unlikely to happen but you never know!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is "favourite colour".

Now I couldn't quite decide which colour was my favourite as I do like lots of colours however my wardrobe consists of black, black, more black etc but I do like blue and green together....maybe you can tell ha ha!

I actually bought this stamp set and embossing folder ages ago and just haven't had the chance to use it, so since I was talking wool I thought yep let's go with it.  First I embossed the background and added some blue and green ink.  I stamped up some of the wool images, tape measure and crochet hook using blue and green....I tried to colour one of the balls like variegated wool...lol.  I then fussy cut them and layered them onto the card.  I stamped up the sentiment and added some dots and sequins to finish.

Hope you like it.

Beautiful birthday...

Morning folks...it's that time again...

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is "use a stencil".

I bought this stamp and stencil set a few months ago but haven't had the chance to use them until now.  The images are quite big so was a bit unsure of how this was going to look anyway here it is.

I stamped and then stencilled the background leaves in blue and green and then layered onto black card.  I also then stamped and die cut a wee leaf, I die cut the sentiment and layered onto the leaf and then added to the card.  I finished with a few sequins.

Hope you like it.

Christmas in July...

Morning folks...I hope the weather is good wherever you are...it's a bit rubbish up here!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is "Christmas in July".

I bought this stamp set last year but never got around to use it so making the effort to get my unused stuff used!

First I stenciled those little trees with various shades of green and blue...now this stencil was not part of the same set as the stamp but thought it matched perfectly.

I stamped up 3 different little trees, coloured them with copics and then die cut and layered them onto the card.  I stamped and white embossed the sentiment and layered that onto the card too.

I added some doodling around the edges too.

Happy birthday to you...

 Hi folks,

Well it's the boss's birthday coming up and this is what I have made her, I hope she likes it.

I just love this flower stamp from Gina K...so I decided to use it and stamped and white embossed it onto watercolour card, then I masked it off and stamped and white embossed the birthday text.  I then randomly added some watercolours, I wanted some subtle colouring but some areas I wanted it to be more vibrant.  I added some spalshes of colour too, not that you can see those splashes unless you zoom in. I samped the sentiment, die cut the numbers and the word "you" in rose gold foil card and layered those onto the card.  I added some dots, gems and sequins to finish.

When it rains....

Hi everybody, I hope the sun is shining wherever you are!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The theme this fortnight is ""rainbows and rainy days".

I do love a rainbow....they really make me smile when I need cheered up.

I made this card using the stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions...it's a really fab kit and there's lots of options but opted for this one.  I actually used the stencils to create three colours of the rainbow and I die cut the fourth in gold glitter card, I stamped the dots over the rainbow along with the sentiment, I also die cut a couple of clouds and inked them up a bit.  I added some doodles around the edges and some sequins to finish.

Happy Easter...

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

As Easter is just around the corner, then why not have an Easter theme!

I have had this stamp set for a while but only used it once, it's so cute...I do like when there's sentiments and images in the same set, makes it so much easier too.

So I inked up the bunnies using blue, green and yellow, then added the eyes...I fussy cut as I don't have the matching die (I don't think).  I then layered it onto the card.  I added a little die cut cloud and some sequins and dots.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog.

The challenges this fortnight is "Bottom's Up or St. Patrick's Day".

I went for the St. Patrick's Day option, not that I celebrate it but I do like this stamp and only used it once before so best make use of it!
I stamped it up with a couple of different colours of green ink and added some splodges of colours...oh and some sequins.
