Some news....

Good morning...and welcome to my scheduled post...I have some news to share with you....you may have noticed in my sidebar my new badge but if you haven't...then why not??  I have been picked to be on the My Mums Craft Shop DT...woo hoo!!  Isn't that exciting??

So here is my first card....this week's theme is "stars"...and this week's sponsor is My Mums Craft Shop...

For my card I have used Basic Grey - Kissing Booth papers along with kraft card.  The stamp is a Gorjuss Girl from Personal Impressions which I coloured with copics.  I added a star which was cut with a sizzix die, the message is from Stampin' Up.  I finished with a piece of twine and some dots made with a pearl pen....hope you likey.

Something different...

Good morning bloggers...well today I am sharing something a bit different...I have made it to the final 12 for the Joanna Sheen DT.  the final 12 were all given something to decoupage, which is a bit out of my comfort zone, however I have given it a bash and I think it turned out not too bad.  

I chopped up the backing papers to make a patchwork effect background and added some stitching, then I have 3 layers on the main image although it is difficult to see...

 

I have taken this photo at an angle and you can see the layers more on this one.

...and before bed...

Well this will be short and sweet....thought I would share this wee card that I have been busy most of afternoon making...might need to retake the photo in daylight.

The papers are from MME - Bluebell, I layered them onto bazzill card and then distressed the edges, I also added stitching to each of the layers. I added a small piece of hessian and some lace.  The flowers have been cut with various MFT dies, the flourish is a doo hickey one.  The stamp is from Whimsy which I coloured with copics and added some shading with polychromos....to finish I added ice white pearl pen dots. There was supposed to be a charm on there too but i forgot about it!!

Sugar Bowl Challenge #92

Good morning sugar fans and welcome to my scheduled post....if my flight wasn't delayed then I got back my hols last night and I am at work this morning....but if my flight has been delayed then I might still be at the airport...


The challenge over at The Sugar Bowl this fortnight is Erika's fabby sketch below...




....and of course the optional extra of "turquoise".

As always the prize for one lucky winner picked at random is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps from FunkyKits...

...over 100 entries then that prize increases to 6 Sugar Nellie stamps.

For my card I have used Pippi and coloured her with copics, the papers are MME - Nutmeg which are yummy, I distressed each of the layers and added some stitching...I think I like this effect. I have added a piece of turquoise lace which I bought on my visit to the HOS a few months back, the message is from LOTV and then I finished with those die cut flowers which i cut from a piece of felt....oh almost forgot...all those pearls have been made with an ice white pearl pen.

....don't know when I'll be back again....well I do really!! I am off on my holidays but only for a week, i am off to Italy, near Monte Carlo to my cousins wedding so we thought we would make a wee holiday out of it when we are there.....so looking forward to it!!

I will have withdrawal symptoms...no blogging or Facebook for a week...

Wine and pasta...here I come!! Oh and sun!

White on white...

Good morning fellow bloggers and another gorgeous rainy day!! Time for a wee post before I hit the shops! Did i tell you it's only 6 sleeps til my holiday...yay!!

Today's challenge over at Sweet Stampin' is "white on white"....such an easy challenge!!

So for my card....this is what my mum wanted to take to my Italian cousin who gets married next week.

I embossed the backing, and made up the little thistle spray myself and added a piece of tartan ribbon, the message has been stamped...can't remember which make it is...

Good morning sugar fans and welcome to my scheduled post....back to work I'm afraid but only 8 sleeps until I go on holiday...yay!!

Now this was a challenge for me and I don't know if I have quite managed the shabby chic look....however for my card I have used "Pillow Talk which is from the Simply Sassy Range at Sugar Nellie"which I coloured with copics, the papers are First Edition - Desert blooms, I inked up all the layers around the edges and duffed them up a bit, the rolled flowers have been made using my MFT die(lost it for a while but found it again) and the flourish has been cut from a doo hickey die, and I added a few pearls to finish....hope you likey!!

Fifi goes shopping....

Good afternoon fellow bloggers...well isn't this a turn up for the books me posting on a Monday...well I have a day off today but I should really be doing some housework so before I start it, I thought I would share my card with you.

One of the guys at work had asked me to make him a card for his wife...hope he likes it...he wanted a girl with a dog...

I have used Fifi goes Shopping from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with copics, the papers are MME - Bluebell which are yummy. I distressed each of the layers...The flourish is a doo hickey and the flowers have been cut with various sizes of the Royal rose from MFT. I added some pearls and a piece of ribbon.
