Paper Sundaes DT card

Happy Halloween my Sundae bloggers and my scheduled post...no I'm not working but Michael had some friends staying last and I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to get to the PC for my post. I was also a bit confused at what time I should post this, for those of you who don't live in the UK, British summertime has now ended and clocks went back an hour...it seems I guessed correctly though...phew!!The challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is "For the Boys"....so you can make anything you like as long as it is suitable for a boy. Our fabulous sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp who has a massive range of products online in the store. For my card I have used a combination of Kaisercraft and Scenic Route papers. The image I have used is Edwin from the Magnolia range which can be purchased from Simon Says Stamp....the lovely Debbie sent me this stamped image along with some other Tilda's...thank you Debbie!! I coloured Edwin with copics and gave him an extra bit of shading with waterpencils too. I cut the grass from the Kaisercraft papers...to make it look like Edwin is running through the grass trying to catch the dragonfly. I have entered the following challenges.

James is sledging...

Well...I was too tired after my trip to the SECC yesterday but I did manage to play around with some of the goodies I bought. This was one of the stamps that happened to fall into my hands...isn't he cute?? I have coloured James with copics. The papers are also new from Echo Park and the snowflakes were punched from the Martha Stewart snowflakes punches...yes new too!! Finished off with glitter. I am now to do shopping with Holly...she needs boots for school and a couple of cozy jumpers...we be back later.

Oh Honey...

Well a wee quickie this afternoon as I am getting organised so that I have nothing to do when(housework) when I come home from the SECC tomorrow...except for to play with my goodies...1 sleep...woo hoo!! I wanted to try mt sewing machine agian but still have my L plates on for that....Now this card just kind of fell together, the papers are from 2 different collections as I was rumaging through my papers trying to decide which ones to use, these 2 happened to land next to each other and i thought hey presto they are perfect..well I think so! The spotty one is from October Afternoon - Bake the Cookies and the blue one is from Scenic route - Roxbury collection, both are Christmas collections. This is Honey the skier from CC Designs which I have coloured with copics, layered her onto a die cut circle which I scalloped with the Stampin Up slit punch and the blue circle at the back of Honey has been embossed with snowflakes. I added white glitter to Honey's hat, jacket and boots and then finished with gems. I needed to fix her skiis as they broke when I was cutting her out...so a repair job!! I also distressed the edge of the brown card.

Best Mates..

Well folks...would you believe we have had sleet here today!! What a shock to the system that was I tell you....anyway I was having withdrawal symptons as I never made a card yesterday as I was busy getting stuck into the housework...I did that much my back was in agony...it felt better after a glass of wine..or two! I made this card earlier and just added the finishing touches and I am off to make the tea...since I am off I thought I would make sicilian pasta...jazzed up version of pasta bolognese...so yummy and haven't made it for a while and hubby will think he is in the wrong house when he comes home from work as I normally buy stuff already made and I just need to fire in the oven..I don't do home cooking very often only because I work and I don't want to stand all day in the kitchen...not my idea of fun...would rather have fun making cards but anyway I am cooking shortly!! For my card today I have used a random sheet of paper that was in my stash from Belle boulevard and the stamp is from Mo Manning and I think it's called Psss - the lovely Linds sent me that a couple of months back..isn't she a sweetie and I love it!! I coloured the image with promarkers and then did some additional shading with waterpencils and added glitter...will be buying more promarkers at the Hobbycrafts show...2 sleeps to go...woo hoo!! I have entered the following challenges.

Paper Sundaes DT card

Hello all you Sunday bloggers and my not scheduled post..cos I'm on holiday!! The challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is "Natural Woman" and this weeks sponsor is the fabby Wags 'n' Whiskers at Stamp & Create. I have used Iris from the new fairy release from Wags 'n' Whiskers. I have used papers from MME, the flowers have been cut from the same matching paper and layered on to the card. I coloured the image with promarkers...and then did some additional shading with waterpencils...quite like doing that. I added some glitter to finish off but may have got a bit heavy handed with that. This was actually my fifth attempt at colouring this image...kept mucking it up but eventually made it and then just as I was about to take the photo ...I spilt my cup of tea...so this was the rush job replacement.
A wee reminder that there is a DT call aswell which closes 26th October so if you fancy entering check out the details here.

I love this little bear so much!!

Well I have been on a roll over the past few days with these LOTV stamps...aren't they just great....I hope they have a stand at the SECC at the end of the month!! Now..the stitching...I thought I would have a go again and real stitching but it's a hit or miss...I started off not bad but then I thought I was driving a car and I speeded up and started to go a bit all over the place...that's why I don't drive...lol!! I even stitched the circle...look how squint it is...but I think it adds to the vintage look I was aiming for...hmm. The papers are from Fancy Pants and James is of course from LOTV which has been coloured with copics and I finished with some glitter and 3 snowflake buttons...as I don't have a snowflake punch or die small enough...next on my buy list!!

One of boys at work had been on my blog checking out my cards and he asked me if I could make him an anniversary card for his wife...but not anything luvvy duvvy(typical man) he wanted something with a pea pod/carrots/vegetables type theme...long story behind it...so here it is and I hope he likes it!! It's Autumn...

Hello my fellow Sundae bloggers and my scheduled post..yes ..again!! The challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is " A change of Season". The sponsor this week is Paper Jewels who will get lucky...well why not take part. For my card I have used this CC Designs stamp as I thought this one fitted well with our challenge...it's very much autumn here in Scotland!! Over at Allsorts the challenge is a song title - so I thought perfect - It's turning to autumn and all the leaves are falling to the ground and this song popped right into my head when I had made this card...The Last leaf..now all you young bloggettes probably won't know that song..I hardly remember it cos I'm not that old either but it reminds of the kind of mod days in the 80's!! oh and it was sung by the Cascades...I coloured the image with copics and layered it onto a die cut circle, I inked the edges of the circ le for a bit of a distressed look...kind of rubbish at that and the papers are from Bella Boulevard which again fitted well.

Think Pink

As it is Breast Cancer Awareness month I thought I would make this card. We probably all know somebody who has been affected by cancer in one or another. I made a card similar to this last year for my mum to give to her friend and she loved it and treasured it...I hope you love it too. I used the embossing plate and sizzlit die from the sizzix pink ribbon kit which is perfect for making little fundraising items!! I also wanted the embossed words to be seen rather than having an image cover them up...so I added some pink chalk to enhance the embossing...finished with some ribbon and 3 little gems. I have entered this card in the Stamp & Create Challenge...not sure if I need a stamped image but this one was more about the card than the challenge as I am sending this card to Lacey's friend.

Sweet Little Manga..

Hi all...I have my main PC back...woo hoo!! I shouldn't really say to much incase that is tempting fate. Anyway on to todays card...the papers are new and are from...will need to go and check as I have just forgotten...oh yes Fancy Pants - It's Your Day collection, I thought the oranges, reds and yellows in this set looked quite autumny even though they have flowers on them. My little Manga has been coloured with copics but I did have a bit of a mishap with her..so I needed to paper piece her face...I think it looks ok and to finish I have touched up with glitter. I followed the sketch over at The sugar Bowl..very challenging with all those layers...hope you like!! Is anybody else's dashboard all weird looking??

Hello my Sunday bloggers and my scheduled post...I was on holiday yesterday to catch up on some stuff but back to work today. The challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is to use something from your stash. For my card I used Scenic Route papers which I bought last month, I punched out the swirly vine and inked up the edges to make it look like the leaves were turning for autumn, I added 2 little felt flowers which were cut from the MFT die-namics rolled flower die..I also added a couple of spiral things...can't remember what you call those in real life!! The pearls and message I have had in my stash....almost forgot..the image is from Karen's Doodles which I coloured this time with promarkers.
