Creatgive Blog Hop

Creative Blog Hop

I was asked by the lovely Susan if I'd like to join in with the Creative Bloggers Hop.  It's a continuous hop every Monday with a host of inspirational bloggers taking part every week.
So onto the questions.

1. What am I working on?

I have not long finished some wedding stationery which seemed to take forever but now it's just really my DT cards at the moment....however I am intending making one of those big advent calendars....been putting that off for a few years now!

2.How does my work differ from others in my genre?

I'm not sure if I am that different, I do like to try new things from time to time and when i do have time to try something new however I think you will all agree....I do love my doodles!!

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

I love cardmaking and crafting...think I would be having withdrawal symptoms if I didn't!

4. How does your writing/creative process work?
I normally find the image that fits the theme of the card I am making, whether that's a just because card or one for one of my DT's.  I then find the papers that I think would work well with the image and then finally I colour the image to match the papers.  I definitely think it's best to colour your image to match the papers....that way you're not stuck choosing papers.

Now onto the 3 Wonderful Bloggers I picked to carry the baton next week.

Lis is one of my blogging friends and we have worked together in the past on a couple of DT's.....and has roped me into buying and using spectrum noirs...her cards are gorgeous and colourful!

Janine is another blogging budy, we are on a couple of DT's together.  Janine makes fabulous card and she's fab on a PC...she's amazing!! She's great to bounce ideas off too!!

Tracey
Tracey is another blogging buddy and is a star over at Sweet Stampin as she helps Abi and I out with the winners posts.  We joined the Sweet Stampin team at the same time....gosh it seems only yesterday but it's been a couple of years now!

So that's my contribution to the Creative Blog Hop and it's now down to these ladies next week!

Thanks for stopping by.

Well hasn't the weather been glorious this week...I bet it's pouring down at the weekend when I'm off, that will just be typical!!

So this weeks theme over at Papertake Weekly is "Holidays", that means something that reminds you of the holidays, so that can be travel, beach or sea....so I have gone for the beach...if I am on holiday then this is what I would be doing...bliss!!

For my card I have used Little Umbrella which I coloured with my spectrum noirs, the papers are Echo Park - A Perfect Summer which I layered onto bazzill card and doodled around.  The scallops I made using my die-namics wonky scallop die, I added a piece of lace...although you can only see a teeny weeny bit. I made the sun using my sizzlits daisy die(snipped the ends off). I also chalked some clouds in the background...just very faintly, it is a sunny day after all!! I added a sentiment and some gems to finish.

Papertake Weekly...

It's Tuesday so that means it's time for my next GDT card for Papertake Weekly Challenge...yay!! It only seems like yesterday that I posted last weeks...lol!!

So I was actually very organised in making this card as my friend asked me if I could make a card for her neighbour...and i had plenty notice so I made this a couple of weeks ago but with todays theme in mind!

So this weeks theme is "buttons, bows and bling"....so I have the bling(loook closely) and I have the bow.  Now you can add all 3 or go for just one.

I have used papers from MME - Oxford Lane which I layered onto bazzill card...oh yes and doodled aroiund the edges...I added a piece of lace which I thought was just the perfect colour to tone in with the papers.  The flowers are a mix...I made a few of them with my die-namics dies and the others are from The Ribbon Girl. The bow and the wording is also die cut...cute...aren't they?

Finally, the image is Opal from Stamping Bella which I coloured with spectrum noirs...and I added some stickles to bling it up a bit....hope you likey!!

challenges:
Bunny Zoe - bingo (flowers, lace, sentiment

A little bit of gorjuss...

Good morning sugar fans, I'm here with my scheduled Wednesday post!!

So this morning I thought I would give some gorjussness....although there's lots of new rubber out, we still need to remember those old stamps too, we can't forget about them now can we??

This stamp is Flower Girl which is one of my very first and favourite Sugar Nellie stamps from the Gorjuss collection at Funky Kits.

I coloured this little cutie with spectrum noirs, (Lis's fault) the papers are from My Mind's Eye - Oxford Lane, which I forgot I had. I used my spellbinders curved borders die to make the scalloped edging (hmmm..Lis's fault)....oh that was tricky and as if I have all the time in the world just now, there is a knack to it but I got there in the end.  I layered my gorjuss girl onto a die cut circle and I free cut the scalloped circle to layer the image onto. I finished with some teeny weeny butterflies....hope you likey?

Pop back tomorrow for another wee SN post!!

A little creativeness...

Good morning blogging buddies and my Sugar Nellie post.

Now this stamp is one of the fabby new stamps from the Scrapberry's range at Funky Kits...she's called Creativeness and is really, really pretty!!

I couldn't decode which stamp to use and then I discoverd these papers in my stash and well the rest is hostory....lol!!

So I couloured the stamp with spectrum noirs and did a spot of shading with polychromos.  The papers are MME Lost and Found (I think) which I layered onto bazzill card.  I added some pearls to the corners as I thought it needed something in the corners.  The flower and ribbon are just perfect summery colours so thought they went quite well too...oh and did you spot that tiny guitar charm...now how cute is that??

Pop back tomorrow for another wee SN post!!
