Under the Sea...

Good morning folks,

It's time for a new challenge over on the Less is More challenge blog.

The theme this fortnight is "under the sea"...

For my card I stamped these little two fishes with archival ink then coloured with watercolours, once dry I added a wash of colour in the background to resemble the sea.  I finished with some enamel dots, sequins and clear dots...I thought these looked like little bubbles.

Pop over to the Less is More challenge blog to check out what the rest of the team have made.

Summer flowers

Morning folks,

It's time for the mid month reminder over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge Blog.

The theme this month is "anything goes" with the option of "summer flowers".

We have two prizes this month, the first is a £25 store voucher from Crafty Individuals and the second is two dies from Highlight Crafts

I have made something a bit different this time, I stamped the image with archival ink and then coloured with watercolours, I built up a few layers to make the colour quite vibrant.  I added a little sentiment and some enamel dots to finish.

This your day...

This fortnight, the theme is...

For my card I created a little beach scene with watercolours, once dry I stamped on the boulder, grass and pebbles.  I layered onto a square of rose gold and then layered onto the card.  I added the sentiment and a couple of sequins to finish.

Best wishes...

Morning folks, happy Saturday!

The theme this fortnight over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog is "flowers". Remember the main focus should be stamped.

For my card I stamped this lovely flower with archival ink and I actually coloured it with pigment ink with a blending brush, I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I think it looks quite subtle.  I added some shading around the flower and some splashes.  Oh and I was having doodling withdrawal symptoms so I added some to this card.

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin challenge blog to check out what my teamies have come up with.

challenges:
Creative Inspirations - anything goes
Crafty Catz - anything goes
Addicted to Stamps - any occasion

Have a zesty birthday!

Hi folks,

Thought I would share this card I made...it has taken me a few days to work out how to work the embossing, stamping and dies together but I am quite happy with how it turned out....might try some pink grapefruit next lol!

The set is from Stampin Up, first I embossed the fruit, then I stamped the fruit on top of the embossed panel...this was tricky lining it up and then again tricky lining up the dies to cut the fruit out.  I stamped little flowers in the background and layered the fruit on top, I added the sentiment and some sequins and enamel dots to finish...no splodges this time!

challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Make My Monday - birthday
Love to Craft - anything goes
Crafty Calendar - anything goes
Alphabet Challenge - g for green

Happy birthday...

Morning folks,

Well I've had a busy few weeks with work and trying to sort my dads house but getting there, hopefully everything will be all done in a few weeks. I have also been clearing out Holly's bedroom...she found her own place so I am having a bigger craft room...hope to have that all finished before the winter...might even treat myself to some new crafty things....yay!

It's time for another challenge over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge Blog.

The theme this month is "anything goes" with the option of "summer flowers".

We have two prizes this month, the first is a £25 store voucher from Crafty Individuals and the second is two dies from Highlight Crafts

For my card I stamped and embossed this little flower stamp and then added some watercolours, I built up several layers to make it quite vibrant, I then added the background of some blue tones for the sky and green for the grass, I dabbled some pink  highlights to give the effect of flowers in the background. I die cut the sentiment and added some sequins to finish.

Summertime...

Morning folks,

I finally got the chance to use this fabby stencil set with these lolly dies.

The lovely Brenda asked me if I would like to be the guest designer over on the Allsorts Challenge Blog....again, so of course!

The theme is summertime...although I think we have had our summer, it feels like its back to winter!

For my card I used a stencil set and co-ordinating dies from concord & 9th, inked them up with ink from Concord & 9th too.  I added some splashed and enamel dots to finish.
