Spectrum Noir Guest card

Good morning folks and I am sharing my next card as guest designer for Spectrum Noir.

This week I am doing a tutorial on clouds and grass, never done one before so no video just photos...hope you can follow!!

Step 1. I stamped this cute little image from LOTV onto white card.

Step 2. I drew with a pencil the shape of the clouds.

Step 3. I then went over the pencil lines with IG2.

Step 4. I then used IG1 and pulled the colour from IG2 away from the edges using feather strokes.

Step 5. I then used HB2 and went over the grey lines on the bottom edge of the clouds.

Step 6. I then used the blender and coloured the cloud in to blend the grey and the lilac together.

Step 7. I then went over the outside edge of the clouds with IG1 again...and added a bit of shading to the tops of the clouds too.

Step 8. I then coloured the sky with feather like strokes using IB1 and BT1 and then gently used IG1 to gently random shade.

Step 9. I then coloured in the little fairy using FS2, FS6, PP1, PP2, DR5, CR10, CG1, CG2.

Step 10. I added grass in various shades of green..CG1, CG2, DG2, DG3, GB10, GB8 using fine feather V type strokes, I found it easier to turn the image upside down and pull the pen towrads me, I felt I could do finer lines and was more in control of the pen this way.

Step 11. I then trimmed the image to size and then layered it on to blue cardstock.  The background papers is also from LOTV which I thought matched perfectly, I had to add some doodled lines around the edges and finished with a bow and some tiny pearls...oh and yes her wings have been glittered up.

Step 12.  The final card....hope you likey!!

So this weeks challenge theme is "to die for" do I love my dies so perfect theme for me!

We're sponsored by the fabulous Yours or Mine Papercrafts:

Who are offering a super duper $10 voucher to the store!

So for my card I used distress inks to colour the image and the backing.  First I stamped the stamp twice onto white card stock and cut out the centre oval, I then inked both of these up and then layered them together.  The backing was also inked up and also used cardio stamps to randomly stamp around the edges as I felt it needed something other than just the ink.  The snowflakes are from my die-namics Let it Snowflake set (love them) and the tiny poinsettia die is from poppy stamps.  I also added a bit of ink to the die cuts too.  I added an organza bow and and I made and organza rose for the centre...I added pearls to the centres of the snowflakes and to the corners of the layers....finished with loads of glitter....hope you likey!

The backing paper is from Echo Park - Bundled Up which I layered onto black cardstock and then I distressed the edges.
