Paisley...

Hello my blogging buddies!!

Well it's the end of the week and off for 2 days...yay...but a busy weekend as I still have these wedding invites to get finished!!

So I just couldn't wait any longer to colour this...it's Paisley from Stamping Bella which I coloured with copics and then shaded with polychromos.  I wanted to make it simple and just focus on the colouring so that's what I did, the background has been embossed which I think makes the image stand out...what do you think??

A wee quickie....

Hello everybody, well it's pouring down...again so a wee quickie before I get on with more wedding invites!!

I was taking a break from the wedding invites and coloured this little stamp the other night.  The stamp is from Mo Manning which I coloured with copics and then the usual shading with polychromos.  The papers were in my stash and I think they are Fancy Pants - Happy Together which I layered onto green American Crafts card. The ribbon has been recycled as I think I received a gift with this ribbon wrapped around it and it is gorgeous ribbon and I have never made a giant bow for a card before!!  It does kind of take over the card,,,,but as I say...something different!!

challenges:
The Ribbon Girl - colour challenge (green)
Stampin for the Weekend - anything goes
Crafty Ribbons - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - for mum or girlie
Bunny Zoe - monochrome

Baby bunny...

Morning folks, it's another dreich day!!

So I made this card the other day with a new stamp I bought at the SECC.  I wanted to keep it simple as I wanted to be able to see the embossed clouds in the background as I thought they worked well with the stamp.  I coloured the image with copics and did lots of shading with polychromos.  I die cut the image with a die-namics pierced circle and layered it onto a scalloped circle....which I cut myself.  I re cut the clouds to layer over the edges of the cirle and then glittered them up!!  I added a piece of twine with a little dummy attached.  The sentiment is from one of the LOTV art pads, I just punched it to be smaller...I didnt want the sentiment taking over the image....hope you likey!!

supplies:
stamp - Bunny Moon LOTV
sentiment - LOTV
pens - copics
pencils - polychromos
twine - The Ribbon Girl
dummy charm - stash
glitter - stash

challenges:

Time for something a wee bit different...

Well it's very wet and horrible this morning so I guess it's time for another card.  I bought this stamp set towards the end of last year and I have to say it is one of the most beautiful sets I own!!  So I thought I would check out the MFT blog to see if I could enter their sketch challenge using this set.

It's very plain and simple but I think with just the wee bit colour, it makes those poppies stand out.  I cut out a circle using the pierced circle die from die-namics and then using distress inks I inked up in blue and green...makes it look like grass and sky. I stamped sections of the poppies and die cut the poppy heads and leaves.  The text and sentiment is also from the same set....oh and I added my favourite doodling around the edges...hope you likey.

supplies:
stamps - MFT Pretty Poppies
dies - MFT Poppies and Leaves

challenges:
My Favourite Things - sketch
Papertake Weekly -anything goes
Deep Ocean Challenge - Just for a Girl
Bearly Mine - one for the girls

You are my sunshine...

Good morning Saturday bloggers....

Well I am on holiday from work for a week, supposedly to make wedding invitations but I have no motivation get started with them...instead I went to the SECC to the Craft Fair and spent some pennies and met up with some crafty friends too.  I really want to play with my new stash too!!

There's a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin, the theme is "be inspired"....all you need to do is get some inspiration from a song, film or book.  Well I am actually spoiled for choice...so which song do I pick??  Hmm...I wish it would rain down, Singing in the Rain, Raindrops keep falling on my head, Umbrella...but I went for You are my Sunshine.

The sponsor this week is  Yours or Mine Paper Crafts who are giving a $10 voucher to one lucky winner.

and of course our monthly sponsor...

Cuddly Buddly who are also giving a £10 voucher to one lucky winner.

Anyway, for my card I have used an image from LOTV...those art pads are just amazing!! The background has been embossed...I found that at the SECC yesterday and thought it would be perfect.  I added a little cloud and a little sun.....doodled around the edges aswell.  I also found those sentiments stamps yesterday which again thought they were perfect....

challenges:
