Christmas Anya...

Well howdy folks..this is the first of 3 today..on a roll!! Thought I better get a move on with some Christmas cards. This of course is Anya which I have coloured with copics to match the papers. The papers are Bo bunny - winter Joy...I am loving these....I added 3 snowflake buttons which I also coloured with a purple copic to match and then added some glitter to Anya.

Happy Birthday Anya...

Hi folks...well I having been making much this week as I wasn't feeling 100% but I have been doing wee bits on this one over the last few days and finally finished it today. The papers are from Stampin' Up - Seet Pea collection, I have coloured Anya with copics and also added some 3d glaze to her brolly and her buttons...not sure if you can see in the photo. The flowers I made with My Favourite Things - Dy-namics rolled flower die...cool!!That's it I think...I have entered this card in the following challenges:

It's hot!!

Well folks...it's certainly not hot here today...it's very rainy...typical school holiday weather!! When I saw this image I just had to buy it..it reminded me of my childhoo when my brothe an I used to play in the paddling pool and he would wear his goggles and flippers...it was fun...well when you are 8!! The papers are from Imaginsce, I embossed the strip with a swirl pattern,the image is from Mo Manning which has been coloured with copics...and I added some pearls and a little sun...I knicked this idea from Peggy...thought it was brilliant and the perfect sun....I cut out a sizzix flower then snipped the ends off...cool...eh??? Hello You

Phew...eventually finished....I have been working on this most of the day and now that it's later in the day not sure if the colour is ok on the camera...might need to do some more pictures but I have taken a few of this one. Well I had started making this card this morning but I couldn't quite decide which image to use as I wanted to enter it in a few challenges...I hope I have met the requirements on each of them....well anyway as I was saying...couldn't decide what image, then the postie came and I found a little package for me...I thought I haven't ordered anything else...yet so what could it be....my good friend Lyndsey sent me this Mo Manning stamp for my birthday...thanks so much Linds..mwah...isn't she kind?? Check her new vamped blog out here. I have used Crate Papers - Paper doll collection..which I love and you can get them at Quixotic Paperie, I punched the oval for the message to layer onto...oh and my fav...I punched/cut the flowers from my new sizzix 3 flowers die which I bought from Sir Stampalot...all you do is roll them to the required size and fix them with glue...oh I so love them.....I coloured the image with my copics and layered it onto a scalloped circle which I made with the Stampin Up slit punch as I don't have a big scallop circle punch...but that's fine cos I have got the knack of using the slit punch to do scallops...

Now onto the inside....I also used the same Crate Paper and punched out 4 giant scallops and layered them...I added another message so that the card will prop up. I followed the sketch over at Totally Gorjuss but I didn't know how to adapt it for the inside so the sketch is for the front...did my own thing inside...hope that's ok.


Thought I would add another view..please do no look at the mess in the background....I cannot believe how much of a mess this card has caused!!

Happy Father's Day

What a gorgeous day...well I have had a busy week and not much of a chance to blog and probably won't until Sunday. Got the finishing touches to my root treatment today..woo hoo and Saturday it's the Procession Day...(it's a big event here in Bathgate) and on Sunday I've got Skyfest...family fun day all paid for by work...so here's my creation today. The stamp is a Whimsy stamp which I bought from Quixotic Paperie and the papers and card I had in my stash. I have made this for a few challenges today:

A few challenges

This is different from the normal cards I make....not usually with animals but Debs sent me some stamped LOTV images to use and I just love them...thanks Debs. The image has been coloured with copics and layered onto an embossed circle....looks like tiger effect which I thought kind of matched the little pussy cat!!....which I then distressed with ink, the paper I had in my stash....finished off with ribbon, bow and tag. I have entered the challenges below.

A Special Friend

Well I'm sorry to bore you all but this is one of my new stamps and I just love it so I had to make another card using this sweet pea...and it's nearly the same as one I posted yesterday but my friend loved it and wanted me to make her one so here it is. I coloured the sweet pea with copics and layered her onto Crate Paper, I cut the butterfly out and stuck on the image to give a 3D effect, I cut out the flowers with the sizzix and I tried to shape them to make them more 3D(I saw this on youtube) and I added a message, some gems and glitter...oh and the centre of the big flower was just a piece of paper which I coloured green, snipped it and rolled it up. Birthday

I'm not sure if I've went a bit overboard with the stickles but I thought it matched...Mandy sent me this adorable Tilda along with a bundle of others...thanks Mandy...you should what she does with hers...beautiful!! I had the papers in my stash, coloured Tilda with my copics and glittered the distressed edges with stickles to give it a magical look. I have entered this card in the following challenges:
