Oooh....a little crazybird...

Today I am sharing how to colour a background and image using Spectrum Noir Aqua Pens with my new fabby stamps!

First I stamped my image onto Watercolour card using Archival Ink and then I left it aside for a couple of minutes just to dry off a bit.

I always like to colour the pens onto acetate and then lift the colour with a waterbrush so next I coloured some Bud Green onto acetate and lifted a small amount and coloured around the edge of the image.

I then repeated that step using Kingfisher to the top side of the image.

I then loaded the brush with water and blended the colour out so that both colours were meeting but not bleeding too much together.

I then coloured the tail using Orange and the beak using Fawn....I actually just used the fine tip of the Orange pen on the tail as I wanted it to be a bit bolder.

I then added more colour using the brush and still blending until I reach the required depth of colour.

For the background I used Magenta, Kingfisher and Fawn and again coloured onto acetate but this time I spritzed each block of colour and I stamped a background stamp into the ink and then onto the card....it leaves quite a splodge...I repeated this for all three colours.

I then added some background lines using the same technique.

Finally I added some tiny dots using a small background stamp....I think this just gives the background that little bit extra texture.

I cut out the bird and layered it onto the card, added some sequins and a birthday message.

Birthdsy wishes...

Hey all...just a wee quick share with you

My hubby forgot he was to get me to make a card for one of the girls at his work...well he needed it for tomorrow....and he specific requirements....a few I could not manage at short notice!  I managed to add the required sun, flowers, name and age so I suppose that should be ok....

So I bought these fabby stamps last week and I have to say they are fab, they are MFT Sketched flowers, I used my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers to colour.  I also coloured a piece of watercolour card and die cut the name and numbers....finished with some sparkly bits.

Happy Birthday...

Howdy folks...well I have been busy this week getting my wee craft cupboard/room finished and I have to say it's looking all clean and fresh but still got a couple of bits and bobs to finish off! Once it's completely finished I will share...

I am loving all the new MFT releases....they are fab!  So I thought I would make a wee quickie card to fit the challenge on the MFT blog and I need to make my friend a card for her birthday too...

I followed the sketch and got inspirationn from the DT cards so here's my version...First I cut my card  using the stitched square die from the Blueprints 14 set and spritzed it with water, I used my new MFT watercolor backdrops which I just received from the lovely Kitty, coloured in the stamp with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and stamped onto the card.  The sentiment is from the Pretty Poppies set.

Spectrum Aqua Markers used:
Orange, Kingfisher, Magenta, Fawn and Lime

For my card I have used Spectrum Noir Aqua pens, Ihave used them together with my new MFT Distressed patterns stamps...I love these so much!!  I coloured the pens onto acetate and then spritzed the colour with water and then stamped into the ink and then stamped onto the watercolour card...it leaves big splodges.  I then added some smaller splodges again using the same ink and technique.  I added a sentiment and some sparkly bits...hope you like!
