Underwater Adventures...

Good morning folks....hopefully this is me getting back to normal. The school shopping is complete, the extra hours at is complete and Holly is much better now and on the mend and looking forward to going back to school.

I have been so desperate to make a start on the latest Sugar Nellie stamps so last night I finally managed a bit of time to colour and make this card. The papers have been in my stash forever but I though they were a perfect match, they are from Imaginsce - Splash collection. Te stamp is of course from Sugar Nellie - Aqua Marina which I coloured with copics. I added some blue lace and twine and attached a little turtle charm which was lying in my stash too. The sentiment is from CC Design - Beach Logos...there's a few in the set that matches the mermaids perfectly....added some pearls and lots of glitter to finish.

Sketch Saturday - sketch
Bunny Zoe - summer
Truly, Madly, Crafty - summer
One Stitch at a time - anything goes
The Ribbon Girl - bingo (charm, lace, twine)
Simply Create Too - anything goes
C.R.A.F.T. - add a charm
Copic marker Europe - summer
Moving Along with the Times - summer
Totally Gorjuss - lacey lacey
Papertake Weekly - spots & stripes (some spots mixed with the stripes)
The Cutie Pie challenge - spots & Stripes

Lovely! The image is very sweet and I love the wee turtle. So pleased to hear that everything is more or less back to normal, particularly with Holly. We're back to school next week and I'm still trying to get trousers for the Boy Wonder. We practically had a stand-up fight in M&S in Dumfries last week as he didn't want to have age 16 trousers and wanted to squeeze himself into age 15 ones. I still don't know why as he doesn't seem to mind being tall - quite the opposite, in fact, or so I'd thought. And he's not even a teenager until November! xx

Gorgeous card Fi. My mermaids are still lying uninked in the envelope :(

Glad Holly getting back to normal. I'm not sure I want to go back to normal, then I'll have to think about a job!

Hello Fi

I stumbled across your blog.

Always a pleasure seeing another crafter getting pleasure from what they do.

Your cards are more sophisticated than anything I have done.

I sometimes make my own Christmas cards, I make lino cuts and print them on my old hand press.

I do quite a lot of gilding, but I am primarily a bookbinder, some of your cards are like small books with complicated covers.

Do you ever use simple 3 hole sewing to join several pages together? It could be sewn with ribbon.

I run a site devoted to craft bookbinding, there are a lot of free bookbinding manuals which may interest you.

Come on over if you have a moment.

Good luck to us all.

Richard
