Beautiful...

Howdy everybody, it has been a long time since I have made a card or posted on my blog as my mum had been seriously ill for the past 6 months or so, she sadly passed away at Christmas.  My mojo left and it's really hard to get back into the one thing I love so I thought I was start with something that was familiar to me...watercolouring.   I did make a card similar to this last year and I really liked it so here is my first card for 2018.

I used Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers to colour and the stamp set is one from Altenew, which I bought a couple of months ago but haven't had the chance to use until now,  I white embossed...my favourite thing! I also white embossed the sentiment and added some splodges and sequins to finish.

Happy Birthday...

Howdy everybody...it's Fi here with today's post!  It's late, but as they say better late than never..

For this card I used the MFT Happy Birthday Background stamp and the MFT Beautiful Butterflies, I white embossed the background on watercolour card. I then stamped distress ink onto a piece of acetate, I loaded my brush with water and lifted the ink and washed it randomly over the embossed writing.  I didn't want to cover it all.  I inked up the butterfly with distress inks aswell and cut out.  I used sticky fixers to layer the butterfly and the sentiment. The sentiment is from Altenew Label Love.
I finished with some ink splodges and sequins.

Happy Birthday...

Hi everybody....well my few days off haven't gone quite according to plan...I did intend to be crafting for at least one full day that I have been off...never mind!

Somy friend asked me (well in advance this time) if I could make her a card for another friend of hers daughter...and here it is!

I thought I would try something a bit different for a wee change...so I randomly inked up the watercoloured card with a few shades using my zig pens,I left it to dry and then added the sparkly numbers.  I pierced a couple of holes at either side in order to thread the ribbon and fix it to the card.  I layered the panel onto pin cardstock and distressed the edges.  I added a sentiment from Altenew Label Love. I finished with doodled edges, sequins and splodges.

Hope you like!

Hello...

Howdy everybody...here I am with my DT card for My Mum's Craft Shop!

For today's card I have used the stamps from the Altenew Hibicus Bouquet set which are really pretty. I white embossed the flowers and the leaves onto watercolour card, I then scribbled randomly some of my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers on top and loaded my brush with lots of water and just kept brushing until I got the shade and colouring that I wanted.  I did leave it to dry in between applications.
Next I white embossed the sentiments onto black cardstock and layered onto the card and die cut the hello and glued directly onto the card. I added a few sequins to finish.

Beautiful Butterfly...

Good morning everybody, I'm sharing my latest DT card for My Mum's Craft Shop!

So for today's card I have used one of the butterflies from the MFT Beautiful Butterflies set.

I inked up the background stamp with my Spectrum Noir Aqua Marker and spritz it with water and stamped onto watercolour card.  When it was dry I then stamped the overlayer with black ink.  While the butterfly was drying I scribbled the marker onto acetate and loaded my brush with water and lifted the ink and sprayed onto the card.  I used some black splodges too.  I then cut out the butterfly and layered it onto the card.  The sentiment is from the Altenew Label Love set.  I added some sequins to finish.

Hope you likey!
