Well here it is...better late than never!!
This weeks challenge over at Sweet Stampin' is "shabby chic"...I know this is a popular thee but it's kind of out of my comfort zone but hey it's a challenge is it not??
We are sponsored this week by the fab Bunny Zoe who are giving one lucky winner a £10 voucher spend in their store and we also have our monthly sponsor The Ribbon girl again who will be giving one lucky winner a £10 voucher to sped i their store.
My hubby asked me to make him a card to give to one of the girls at his work who leaves soon so for my card I have used papers from MME Howdy Doody which I thought were quite shabby chic looking, I inked up each of the papers with walnut stain distress ink and then I distressed each of the layers and layered them onto kraft card, I first added a piece of cheesecloth under the layer...man that stuff is hard to cut a position!! the image is Pillow Talk from Sugar Nellie which I coloured with promarkers this time, I added a strip of ribbon flowers from TH which also have the distressed look about them and they are gorgeous!! I finished with the sentiment and some pearls.
supplies:
papers - MME Howdy Doody
stamp - Pillow Talk Sugar Nelie
pens - promarkers
pearls - The Hobby House
ink - distress ink
ribbon flowers - TH
cheesecloth - The ribbon Girl
