A wee quickie....

Hello everybody, well it's pouring down...again so a wee quickie before I get on with more wedding invites!!

I was taking a break from the wedding invites and coloured this little stamp the other night.  The stamp is from Mo Manning which I coloured with copics and then the usual shading with polychromos.  The papers were in my stash and I think they are Fancy Pants - Happy Together which I layered onto green American Crafts card. The ribbon has been recycled as I think I received a gift with this ribbon wrapped around it and it is gorgeous ribbon and I have never made a giant bow for a card before!!  It does kind of take over the card,,,,but as I say...something different!!

The Ribbon Girl - colour challenge (green)

GDT at BunnyZoe Challenge blog...

Good morning bloggers on this frosty morning!!

This morning I am sharing my card I made for my Guest spot over at Bunny Zoe challenge Blog for the month of November...I was so chuffed when Nikki asked me if I would like a turn at guest designing...how could I refuse!!

So the theme this month is "shabby chic" not a theme I have to say I am good at however hopefully my efforts have paid off.

The stamp is Autumn  from Saturated Canary which you can buy from Bunny Zoe's shop, I coloured her with copics and did some shading with polychromos, the hair was a bit scary as there's loads of it and I thought I might have to chop some of it off however I think it turned out ok... The papers are digi papers from the Sweet Shoppe, I stitched each of the layers onto bazzill card and then distressed all around the edges to give a shabby look.  The leaves have been cut with my die-namics autumn wreath die, I then inked them up with lots of autumnal colours and then crinkled the edges of them too for more shabbiness!!

Hope you likey!!

challenges:
Penny Black and More - anything goes

phew...at last

Hey sweet bloggers....at last I have managed a post today!!  now I have made several attempts at coulouring these beautiful digis from Sugar Nellie...but I am so rubbish at it!!  This was was my best effort and has taken me most of the day to colour but I have to say that I am quite pleased with it given what the others looked like!!

So the digi is called Amber from Sugar Nellie and I coloured her with copics and polychromos.  The colouring seemed to work best when I coloured a base with the copics and then built up the colour with the pencils....will try this method again but not today!

I saw the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday was an eye for detail and to me that meant a face focusing on the eyes...I do love Amber's eyes!!

I have used papers from MME - Unforgettable which I will need to buy more of cos these are so gorgeous and I cannot run out!! I distressed each of the layers before layering onto bazzill card, then I also distressed the card.  I made the flower from some felt with my die-namics rolled daisy, the flourish is from Magnolia.  There is dotty ribbon underneath the flower but I think it has taken over that spot on the card. I added a piece of aqua lace and some tiny pearls to the image to finish...hope you like.

lace - Funky Kits
image - Amber - Sugar Nellie Funky Kits

My first GDT card for Cupcake...

Good morning folks and welcome to my first scheduled post of the day. When the lovely Faye dropped me an email last month to ask if I would be guest over at Cupcake Craft Challenge for the month of April....well how could I refuse!!

So here we have my first offering...the theme is "something you would find in your sewing basket". I have mainly focused on the stitching side of things and have used this fab digi from Clear Dollar Stamps called Sew Grateful which I thought would work perfectly.

I coloured the image with copics, the papers are Alora from Bo Bunny. I made the backing papers look like a patchwork effect and added some zig zag stitching, on the images I added some embroidered stitching. To finish I added a couple of buttons and I threaded the needle with some embroidery thread. Pop over to the Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog to check out the other cards...

Foxy

I have never made a card with a theme of monocromatic...so I thought I would try this one for the challenge over at Stampin for the weekend, I also followed the sketch a Friday Sketchers. The stamp I used is Foxy from the Gorjuss Girls at Sugar Nellie and a few random bits and bobs.
