My first GDT card for Cupcake...

Good morning folks and welcome to my first scheduled post of the day. When the lovely Faye dropped me an email last month to ask if I would be guest over at Cupcake Craft Challenge for the month of April....well how could I refuse!!

So here we have my first offering...the theme is "something you would find in your sewing basket". I have mainly focused on the stitching side of things and have used this fab digi from Clear Dollar Stamps called Sew Grateful which I thought would work perfectly.

I coloured the image with copics, the papers are Alora from Bo Bunny. I made the backing papers look like a patchwork effect and added some zig zag stitching, on the images I added some embroidered stitching. To finish I added a couple of buttons and I threaded the needle with some embroidery thread. Pop over to the Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog to check out the other cards...

Sweet Stampin' DT card....

Well good morning all and a Haaaaappy New Year to you all. Would you believe it...I am so excited today as this is my first DT card for Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Our sponsor this week is Tiffany Doodles who are offering 5 digi's to one lucky winner.

Our monthly sponsor is Whimsy Stamps who are also offering 5 digi's.

The theme this week is to create a card/project from inspiration from your favourite song. Well I have lots of favourites and have gone with this one...can you guess what it is?? Well I have taken my inspiration from "Jai Ho" sung by The Pussycat Dolls for two reasons...first I love Slumdog Millionnaire, the song featured in that film and secondly...as you know I go to a Zumba class and this is my favourite song to shake it to..makes me feel like a teenager again!! The image is from Tiddly Inks - Aisha which has been coloured with copics, I did a bit of blending on the dress and I thought I would cut Aisha out....since I like to do that. The DP is from Scenic Route - Laurel...lots of rich orange, pinks and reds. I stamped the letters onto the same matching paper and cut them out. I punched out the flowers and added some jewels and glitter....hope you like it.

Paper Sundaes DT card

Well hello again all you Sundae bloggers. I hope the snow isn't too bad wherever you are. We had it really bad but it seems to be disappearing now thank goodness!! The challenge this week over at Paper sundaes is "anything but a square"...that's right.

We are being sponsored the by the wonderful Meljens Designs....who have lots and lots of beautiful images online. Well I was a bit iffy about this as normally the cards I make are square or rectangle however this is what I came up with. I cut the circle using a sizzix die and then layered the papers and card onto that, the papers are from Bo Bunny Midnight Frost collection. The image is Caroling snowmen from Meljens which have been coloured with copics, I added some snowflakes and glitter.

Pixie Dust Studio - let it snow
Digital Tuesday - baby it's cold outside

Merry Christmas...

Well I survived the sleepover...just!!.. They all went to sleep around 3amand then were wakened up at 9am...what is all that about?? So the bathroom routine started...which took forever, then breakfast and then we hit the winter Wonderland in town...it was baltic!! They had a ball at the ice skating...it was so funny watching all those parents with the really small children and them trying their hardest not to fall. Holly didn't want me to go on the ice cos she didn't want me showing off in front of her pals..me being the sporty person that I used to be...I can skate really good...well forwards and backwards but I can't do any jumps. My mum used to be a speed skater and she first took me skating when I was 4 years old and I learned to skate with all the fast skaters....I can still skate really fast!! I remember being at a school camp in 2nd year and we went skating and I had never told anybody I could skate...fast...that was funny, all my schools mates were just standing there with their mouths open saying OMG!! Anyway back to the card...I have used papers from October Afternoon, the image is from CC Designs and I coloured her with copics, stamped the message and then added glitter to finish off. I have entered the following challenges.

The Sweet Shop - sketch

You're the best...Paper Sundaes DT card

Welcome to another Sunday and hopefully my scheduled post has worked as I am back at work this weekend..so will need to do my linking on my lunch which should time nicely with the post if I plan it well. The challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is Danielle's recipe....2 DP, 4 flowers and 3 buttons. This we are being sponsored by Meljens Designs....she has lots of fab digis...pop over here and take a look what she has in her store. I have used Echo Park papers for this card...thought they looked cool!! The image is of course from Meljens Designs which has been coloured with copics...I also added a bit of highlighting with watercolour pencils. I layered it onto a scallop circle which I made using the Stampin' Up slit punch as I don't have a scallop die...takes a bit of practise but I am getting the knack of it now. I also added a piece of lace underneath the image. The flowers I had in my stash and were the perfect colour to match the paper...I hope...and I added 3 buttons to the centres of the cluster of flowers, finished with a little message. I have entered this card in the following challenges:

A Spoon Full of Sugar - sketch

Stamp & Create - flowers

Cupcake Craft Challenge - lace

Digital Tuesday - lace

Fab 'n' Funky - favourite colours( I have lots but I do like brown and green together)

Happy Birthday to you....

Another rainy day here...what can I say!! These are new Echo Park papers which I bought last week so I thought today was as good a time as any to use them....now this one was a bit of a disaster but I think I have rescued it....I bought one of the pearl pens from Quixotic and added this to the corners...then I forgot I had done that and stuck my thumb right on top...so I had a brainwave!! i thought I will wait until it is dry an then pick it off...only thing it took some of the paper off too so I had to make the dots slightly bigger than had wanted but I think it looks ok. I have coloured Brigitta and the fence with copics...Brigitta is from All That Scraps and the fence is from Pollycraft. I distressed the edges of the paper and around the circle and added a message which was in my stash...no flowers!! I have entered this card in the challenges below...remember I have candy..

Digital Tuesday

This is such a cute little digital image from Pollycraft..so I thought I would use it to make this card. I coloured the image using my copics and sprayed parts of it and layered it onto beautiful Crate Paper which arrived this morning, I also pierced the edges of the image and finished off with a matching flower and message.
