Paper Sundaes DT card

Welcome all my Sundae bloggers and another weekend scheduled post...Before I tell you about today's challenge over at Paper sundaes is I must share my traumatic event that happened at work yesterday.

Please don't laugh..I had a little mishap...as you know we have moved to big new, shiny, freezing cold office. I am gradually loosing weight as it's a half mile trek to the printer, photocopier, loos, coffees etc...well some bright spark decided to keep all the cabinet keys in our new store room which is even further away. So away I went...swiped my pass to get into the store room and walked in, the door closed behind me and I stepped further into the room but the lights were not coming on, now in all other areas the lights are automatic and no switch is needed. No lights...no windows.. so I started working my way to a wall, I was feeling around the wall for the switch but couldn't find it (pitch black) so I thought need to open the door to let the light in to find the switch...oh no...the door is locked...now I am freaking out and I could feel myself begin to panic. I am now frantically groping and hyper ventilating trying to find the switch then I felt a knob..I was pushing that knob and I didn't care what alarm it set off but hey presto it released the door....phew what a relief!! I came back through to the office and Laura asked me what was wrong...of course she laughed but I needed a sit down and some chocolate after that. I was shaking for ages...

Anyway now on to the serious stuff...the challenge this week over at Paper Sundaes is "pop it up". At first I was a bit scared as I was thinking jack in the boxes but all we need to see is something that pops out on your card.

Our sponsor this week is Michelle's Scrapbooking and more who are offering one lucky winner...

I have popped up the tree on my card...I stamped it three times and layered each piece, the image is from Whiff of Joy and has been coloured with copics. The papers are from Scenic Route but I can't remember which ones...oops!! I added a bit of raffia ribbon and a couple of punched snowflakes....and finished with glitter and gems. You can buy Whiff of Joy stamps and copics at Michelles Scrapbooking...check them out!!

Firstly Fi, I can see why you were freaking out and I was NOT laughing at the story. I was trapped in a loo once and I am not joking I did a HULK and almost took the door off it's hinges, I got incredible strength from nowhere!!
I LOVE this "Wee" image, I spent ages trying to find him last Christmas and finally did. I think the 3d of the tree is genius, please can I pinch that idea? Would love to try that. Dc

I'll say no more on the darkened room episode!

I think your little fella on the card (or is it a girly? I think it might be). Ok, your little person on the card needs big feet to balance the tree which is enormous! Love the layers hon xxx

Oh Fi! no wonder you needed chocolate to recover!
I will admit I did chuckle, cos I could imagine you groping the walls in a pitch black room! but it's not funny to be stuck in there so I'm glad you got out of there quickly.

Love the card, the tree looks brilliant!

Oh wow Fi, what a thing to happen! :) lol.

Im am very used to the dark (which has been useful this week! lol) but our upstairs landing is so dark we have to have fairy lights as a tramline! :D and I dont like lying in bed when its so dark I cant see my own hand - that happens a lot too. I can imagine how scarey it would feel in a relatively unfamiliar place though (and embarrasing!). Glad you are ok :)

Love your card, I have always liked this image, and it looks great with the 3d touches. Fab snowflakes too (are they Marianne dies?)

hugs
