Pretty Poppies...

Good morning all and my post for My Mum's Craft Shop....oh my isn't it baltic??  We have had a severe weather warning for Central Scotland on Tuesday and the schools have had the warning too and pupils have been issued with their code red letters....lol!!  They are preparing ahead of events this year by the looks of things!

Anyway onto my card...I have used the Pretty Poppies stamps and poppy and Leaves dies from My Favourite Things...I am loving these soooooooooo much!!  I can't believe I have only bought these now...they are a must!!

So first I inked up the script and stamped it several times on the creamy coloured card, I then distressed the edges with some distress ink.  I then used the dies to cut out the poppy heads and then inked around the holes....Then using some white card, I stamped the poppies using some red ink.  I then layered up both pieces of card so the poppies are centred through the die cuts.  Once these were in place I then inked the poppy stems and die cut the leaves and poppy seed and fixed them in place.  The message is from the same set, so I layered that onto black card and stuck a little button on to the corner.  I added some card candi to one of the corners....hope you likey!!

Fab-u-lous! I love this! I've avoided these stamp and dies sets up till now as I thought they'd be fiddly, but last night I ordered a (very simple) baubles stamp and die (Poppystamps). Maybe if I can get them lined up right I can aspire to creating something as gorgeous as this! Am off to check the weather forecast now. Stay cosy! xxx

Such a lovely card. Like Tracey, I would avoid stamps like this but you've done a terrific job.

These poppies are so effective especially on the script background. The little button is a cute idea!
